725 Continental Hotel

Microcentro Buenos Aires|0.28km from I.T.B.A. - Buenos Aires Institute of Technology
725 Continental Hotel is in a central position, short walk one way to Plaza de la Republica, with Obelisco, and a short walk the other way to Plaza de Mayo.A stop for the open top bus tours is on the other side of the street. Hailing a taxi is easy on the roadside but reception ordered a taxi without charge. The hotel has no car park, but there is paid-parking nearby. This art deco building is in a street of such buildings making for a scenic cityscape, both from the street and roof top terrace, where there is a bar and small pool. Sunset drinks were enjoyed on the roof. Room and ensuite was large and everywhere was clean. Reception directed us to 2 double rooms before finding the twin we had booked, which was an unwanted inconvenience after a long journey. There was a paid mini bar but no kettle in the room. View was across to the buildings the other side of the street. Air conditioning worked well. The lifts are slow and the wait was tiresome, but fortunately we could use the stairs from our room on a lower floor. Breakfast is served on the first floor, and there is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, which we did not use. There are tango shows and many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was adequate with omelettes cooked to order. Window tables have picturesque street views. Facilities give the five star rating, but 725 Continental Hotel is more comfortable than luxurious. Location and service on offer made it good value.

This hotel is located in the heart of the city and just a few mins walk to the Obelisk and shops. The service at the reception was extraordinary; the staff were extremely friendly and polite and never said no to anything we requested. The rooms are small, breakfast is good, coffee is available free and round the clock at reception. In all, a great place to stay and high value for your money

I stayed this hotel for 2 nights before/after my 14days cruise. The front desk agent was always freindly and helpful. Location was excellent- you can exchange your USD$$$ to ARP near the hotel also there is a shopping mall near the hotel. There are many restuarants and tourist spots within walking distance. Their breakfast is very nice and many varieties. I will definitely stay this hotel again if I have a chance to go back to Buenos Aires.

You see the hotel incredible on the internet, but the reality is different. It's an old building, which I understand, but the rooms are not amazing, the carpets in the corridors look really dirty, the service is not good at all. The maid was more eager to ask if she better not clean until the next day, you have cockroaches in the room, the shower is very small both at the top and the space. You think the elevator is going to come off and it's very small. The noise is extreme, you can hear everything that happens in the rooms, the Argentines who stay are really noisy, the doors slam shut, it smells bad inside the bedrooms. I asked about the air conditioning and the answer was that due to the current climate they don't turn it on, that they only use the heating if you're cold, I told them that I'm not cold but hot, but I can't use it, they don't have a machine, at least for coffee , breakfast is not included. Really pay a cost for something horrible, dirty and bad service.
NH Collection Buenos Aires Jousten

We were here for the “Amor nunca falla” internacional assembleia along with 42,000 other delegates from Argentina and 12 other countries. The NH Jousten was a fabulous hotel for us. It appears that the hotel has been updated fairly recently. The rooms are all very modern and have a pleasant decor. The restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast. We also had dinner here a couple of times and enjoyed the food and service. Every one of the hotel employees that we interacted with was very helpful, pleasant, and kind. Many speak English very well. Our room opened up to the Av. Corrientes which is a busy street. However, the double glazed windows and solid walls and every drapes do a good job of keeping the sound out. We never heard any of the other guests in adjoining rooms. The room has a mini bar with some space for you to put a few drinks. It comes equipped with a pod espresso maker and an electric teapot. The beds are medium softness and we slept well. We highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are a tourist and want to be near to many of the sites. It is close to many restaurants and we felt safe walking around in the evening.
