Great
HHeicoThe hotel is easy to find, with free parking, complete and new facilities, delicious restaurant, big and comfortable bed, and two bottles of mineral water. It is not expensive, a rare good hotel in Europe. Maybe it is because there are not many tourists in Dijon.
FFulishizhaohedeHotel location is very good, the train station is out for5-8 minutes. The facilities are also good, there is a small French garden, swimming pool, and a jacuzzi. The room is considered to be among the French hotels we have stayed in, relatively large, and the facilities are quite new. Breakfast can also be 😃 In short, all are satisfied, very recommended.
GGuest UserGreat location. Very close to the old town and tourist office. Train station is a 5 minute walk. Coffee and tea in the room and a self serve espresso machine downstairs. I didn’t do the breakfast but there’s a bakery up the street and a grocery store behind the hotel.
AAngieThe hotel is about 10mins walk from the main station with our luggages. It’s just outside of the main town area but it is walkable everywhere in Beaune. There was a nice bakery and crêperie nearby. The room is a little cramped but was clean and toilet is huge. The soap provided smelt nice too. There is no lift but we were lucky to be on the first floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They greeted us whenever we walked past and helped us store the luggages. It was a good stay!
BBenjaminWe were enroute from Burgundy to Paris. The hotel has character, unlike the typical chain. The building is old, and this creaky floors are all over the hotel. We didn't get a view of the canal, but I can imagine the rooms with a view of the canal would be much more pleasant. We had rooms facing the parking lot. We only stayed for one night, and didn't really use any of the hotel facilities. The bathrooms are small....like almost unable to turn.
JJeanneThis small hotel punches far above expectations. Rooms and bathrooms may be cosy but have been modernized. Plenty of power points, DIY tea/ coffee in bedroom, magnifying mirror and super efficient hairdryer in bathroom. Water fountain in corridor. Even when facing the train station, I couldn’t hear the trains as windows are well sealed. There is A/C. Smorgasbord breakfast, bar, outside seating for summer and overall very friendly staff. I didn’t use the restaurant. Great location and a flat easy 5-8 minute walk into town centre. Highly recommended especially if you want to be off the tourist trail and using trains. But still explore Beaune.
GGuest UserI have stayed at the Chateau before and it is good value as well as being an interesting building with many artistic features, there is also an outside pool. Generally, it’s clean but the rooms are a little dusty. The staff are helpful but on my previous stay the restaurant was shut due to staff problems. It was a disappointment but gave it a second chance. However, having booking again, I was told on arrival that the restaurant was not open on Mondays or Tuesdays. Please don’t be fooled by websites as every one I found stated that it was open on these days, so it’s a must to take this into account if you’ve had a long drive and do not want to dine out, you may well want to think again. It does seem to be under staffed as it can be difficult to find anyone if you would like an evening drink.
You would either have to drive fifteen or so minutes into Macon where there are plenty of restaurants or if you prefer a village, drive in the other direction for less than ten minutes and there is a small restaurant next to the station called ‘Aux Dix Vins’ which I recommend and it’s open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The menu and quality is good, with some nice wines to accompany the food and the owner cares about how it’s run.
CChristine CousinThe hotel is very comfortable.
The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.
A little old room and toilet, but comfortable mattresses
XXenTravellerOur big room for our family is on the upper floor at the end of the building, it is one of the older rooms with worn out carpet and a few sunlight windows. If you are claustrophobic it is not suitable.
Disrespectful neighbours were smoking outside the foyer, although it is a non smoking hotel.
Staff were all very helpful and pleasant though, makes us feel welcomed.
Simple amenities. A one night stay is the maximum.
