Hotel Plaza Kokai Cancún Reviews

This hotel is very quaint. We got to the hotel exactly at the check in time and the check in procedure went smoothly however the room we were assigned wasn’t ready. There were no towels, no shower curtain or basic bathroom amenities and one of the beds wasn’t ready either. After complaining we got assigned a new room and it was better. The air conditioning unit was a bit loud but other than that the room was comfortable. After the initial mishap everything else went smoothly. The hotel restaurant had a limited menu but the staff were friendly and attentive.

This is an older hotel in the town of Cancún. The location means you have to take a taxi whenever you need to go someplace. The hotel is clean. Lacks amenities like a coffee pot in the room, hairdryer, ironing board, etc. The housekeeping staff is very friendly and will help you out as you need them. The hotel staff is very friendly and will help you with anything. you need to make your stay in Cancún a good one. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. The food is basic but very tasty and well prepared. As mentioned earlier, the hotel is an older hotel, and the rooms, furnishing, and AC show that it needs updating. There is a small swimming pool on site. It is a quiet hotel and normally very inexpensive if that is what you are looking for.

Terrible hotel. I do not advise anyone. The furniture is old, the doors are generally a laugh, just for show. In the room you can hear everything that happens in the hallway. It's like there is no door. Smell in the bathroom. The air conditioner works only at one power, it is not regulated at all, it is impossible to sleep with the air conditioner on, it is very noisy. The safe doesn't work. There is no refrigerator in the room. One outlet for the whole room and the one by the TV. The bed does not have any sockets. TV is old, no smarttv. The floor has never been washed for 10 days, the handle of my bag in the photo is covered in dust. The dust was not wiped, all surfaces are dusty (the phone on the nightstand is visible in the photo). We will never come here again. The price for the room is very high.

The location is excellent. Didn't like the bathrooms because the drainage is very old and sometimes gives some bad smells. Also, the floor of the shower is not very appropriate and is a little slippery and the light is too opaque. Needs lighter bathroom so ladies can work on their makeup.

Basic room, everything was clean the air conditioning was adequate to keep me comfortable. Stay was for one night.

Hotel Plaza Kokai is clean, functional but sparse. Perfect is you are not planning on staying in the hotel all day long. The only issue I had was that the hot water for showers tendered to run a bit lukewarm for my tastes and the street noise could get loud at times. The staff were all very nice and professional. The air conditioning unit worked perfectly and helped with the humidity.

Worst hotel I ever been ; old smells like drainage, leak on the restroom bowl

No hot water. The phone in the room was dead, no connection. The receptionist was not welcoming, like indifferent to us upon our arrival. Would not recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel. We checked out after one night to another hotel. Requested for refund.

No hotel airport shuttle. We rang the hotel from the airport and were told to hire a taxi, and get a receipt for reimbursement from the manager. It was $90 USD, plus a $10 tip. The manager denied the phone call and refused to reimburse anything. The room had a noisy air conditioner. The pool is lovely. The waiter spoke no English and the menu was in Mexican - but we worked it out. The drinks were good.

It was clean, good location - downtown and close to busses. cafes, market 23. Very attentive stuff.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Incredibly, I had left behind an item of considerable value and it was restored to me! I had a nice room and really enjoyed my stay.
