We took the ferry from Kangaroo Island to the mainland at 7pm. It was already dark and there were many small animals on the road at night. It was best to stay near the pier for the night. However, there are very few hotels near the pier and this one is certainly popular. The plot of land is not small, but the management is average. In the evening, there is no one on duty. There is an automatic key machine that you can operate by yourself. There is no wifi and the mobile phone signal is extremely weak, making it almost impossible to contact the outside world. Hot water supply is good.
The room is very large, two bedrooms, one living room and one bathroom. If the check-in time is past the check-in time at the front desk, you can send an email to the landlord. The landlord will provide self-check-in guidelines. It is very convenient. The parking space is at the door of the room. The facilities in the room are very complete. There is a microwave oven and tableware. At night, because there is no light around, you can see a lot of stars very clearly, I like it very much.
The front desk is a Chinese guy, very welcoming, there are spiders at the door of the hotel early in the morning, big, understandable, there are 🦘 wearing around in the hotel yard, be careful when driving out

Although the price is a bit expensive, the environment is first-class and the bed and quilt are comfortable. It's right next to the pier, just a few minutes' walk away from the boat. If you arrive around 6:30, you can drive to Kingscote, which happens to be the time for kangaroo activity in the evening, so you can easily find kangaroos along the way. The edge of the pier is suitable for tourists arriving after dark

Friendly staff. Gorgeous glamping tent, really spacious and comfy bed. Nice location. Kitchen however only has microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Outdoor BBQ. Showers were cold but I only showered late in the evening so possibly could have been hot first thing in the morning.
