"The location of the President Hotel is very good. It is the preferred hotel recommended by South African friends. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the beach. We booked the Ocean Classic Room (with balcony). There is no picture of this suite type on Ctrip. I have been worried that I can’t see the sea view. In addition, the big bed can be split into 2 single beds by the hotel. The hotel arranged us in rooms 647 and 648 (the highest 6 floors of the hotel), which are located in the northeast of the hotel. You can see both the sunrise and the sunset by the sea. It is really a super invincible sea view room. Since the two rooms are next to each other, there was a dinner party. The hotel does not provide toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers, you need to bring your own. The breakfast variety is very rich and there are quite a lot of choices. Most of the tourists in this hotel are European and American guests, and I didn't see many Asians. There are 2 large bottles of pure water (1L volume), coffee and tea bags in the room, among which black tea is a specialty of South Africa, you can try it. The hygienic condition of the hotel is OK, and the bathroom supplies are average. The hair dryer was in the drawer of the desk and I couldn't find it on the first day. The guest room is cleaned every day, and a tip of 2 dollars is prepared for the service staff every day, just put it on the bedside table. South Africa uses South African standard plugs, so remember to bring them with you when you go abroad. Alternatively, a 2-pin round plug can be used."
"Nice place, friendly and helpful stuff. Good breakfast and not far from Waterfront."

"Our experience at this hotel went above and beyond our wildest expectations! The hotel's exquisite location grants you a balcony view of the ocean and the majestic Table Mountain as a backdrop.
The level of service we received was truly exceptional, leaving us thoroughly impressed. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the range of amenities provided was more than generous.
The rooms themselves strike a perfect balance between spaciousness and coziness, creating a truly inviting atmosphere. A noteworthy feature that sets this hotel apart is the complimentary mini bar, offering a variety of snacks and drinks – a rare find. What's even more remarkable is that these snacks are not only delicious but also cater to vegan and gluten-free preferences.
Without a doubt, we are already making plans to return to this outstanding establishment in the future."
"The hotel staff is polite and waiters have a priority attitude. Breakfast generally meets business needs and is close to the main traffic. There is a bar on the 10th floor for proper entertainment. The room is clean but the air-conditioning temperature cannot be adjusted"
Welcome Home. Standing at the heart of the V&A Waterfront is a figure that evokes familiarity, comfort and a sense of adventure. Cape Grace is a timeless presence. With rooms gazing out onto the harbour, marina, or the majestic silhouette of Table Mountain, this grand hotel feels as if it has always been part of the landscape. Every visit, even the first, truly feels like a homecoming. As you bid farewell, all those moments turn into memories.
"Amazing location, just a few steps away from the V&A waterfront area - well within walking distance and also it felt safe to walk at night. Service was great too, especially at the reception / valet which helps park and retrieve your car whenever you need. Hotel serves a decent breakfast with international selection and an eggs station. Basic amenities were provided in the room. Only gripe is that the hotel and rooms are showing signs of aging, with occasional whiffs of stench from the bathroom drains which woke us up one night (not for long thankfully). Otherwise an overall comfortable, convenient and safe stay."
"Amazing, super good room, very clean, great service, both room service and reception and in reception, The food is great and just wow, i cant imagine i am having a same taste of sambar like what i have back in India. Very good quality food in the Bombay brasseries restaurant. Breakfast was very good, you get every thing one need from Asia. 24 hours heated swimming pool with Suana.
I will Highly recommend any one to stay, you will never go wrong with this choice, its superb.

"Great Breakfast, very comfortable room, close to conference facilities. I arrived there with a big rental double cab, which they parked for me. Had no time to hit the gym, but looked decent from the outside."

8.9/10
JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.
SSaraGreat location for the airport and the free shuttle is perfect. The hotel is very comfortable and has everything for a great overnight stay. My only gripe is the staff all.standing around in groups chatting loudly at breakfast and having to wait 20 minutes for change in the restaurant in the evening.
OO.N.AThe Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town.
We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay.
We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later.
The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this.
Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town.
GGuest UserNo frills accommodation in excellent location for weary travellers. Exceptionally clean room and facilities and lovely welcome from reception staff and porter. Only drawback was that our room was located close to the reception, kitchen and restaurant which was quite noisy. Soundproofing would be ideal.
MMoMoCHu5360 Overall the stay was great, but finding mould in the in the vent in the toilet was an uncomfortable surprise.
Breakfast was lovely.
Staff were extremely friendly; however one staff member would sing and speak really loudly to no one in particular while tending the bar.
旅旅人好享受It's a Hilton hotel, so the room environment is okay. Overall the staff are super welcoming. We did not order the breakfast as it needs to be added on, and the surrounding environment is safe and secure. The overall capability/price (C/P) ratio was okay.
ZZeeinchinaGreat place. Amazing amenities. Wonderful location right opposite Canal Walk. Could do with an AC. Should have a reception at 9 palms, not having to go to the Crystal Towers to collect keys. Wifi password should be given to guests at check in

FFGTRTDThe location is good. Not too far from a Woolworths grocery store and a coffee shop. The coffee shop opens really early which is essential when loadshedding hits and you can't make coffee in the hotel. The coffee was inconsistently replenished so again, being near a Bootleggers coffee was necessary. The hotel doesn't have a generator so when there is load shedding, you will be affected. If you are going to arrive early, you won't be able to check in early as there was no one who could help us at the front desk until 3pm which is standard check in time. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant so we weren't too inconvenienced but if your flight is much earlier in the day, do be aware of this. Otherwise, not a bad stay and I would consider staying again.

ГГалина+ Cost/Quality! At the time of our booking it was one of the most advantageous apartment hotels.
+ Convenient location near the temple where you can see a concert of street musicians. A huge park with hand proteins is located across the road))
+ The room is small, everything corresponds to the photo. Comfortable bed, air-bedroom. In the shower - soap, shampoo, shower gel. In the kitchen a teapot, dishes, welcome tea/coffee set.
+ Breakfast was limited but delicious. If you stay for a long time, I would recommend taking a room without breakfast. So you can diversify your menu and in the cafe for money will be plus minus as well, or even cheaper.
+ Also at the settlement gave a card on which it was possible for everyone during the day in the coffee shop at the hotel to take a cup of coffee for free.
- From the downside, noise isolation, more precisely its absence. Sometimes there were neighbors behind the wall and passers-by in the corridor. But noise and partying is prohibited, so sleeping at night was more quiet.
” dirty floor. Despite the daily cleaning of the room, the floors weren't washed at all.
- we didn't have cups in the room. There were glasses for wine/water and no cups for tea)
GGuest UserWe have been staying here for several years and I have to say that sadly this hotel has lost its personal connection with guests. We didn’t feel like returning guests but more like strangers and it was purely business from the hotel. We have such wonderful memories here sadly clouded by new staff who have no idea how to connect.
