Stayed at this lovely village hotel for 4 nights in May and it was so lovely, the staff were very warm and welcoming, and the hotel was lovely, rooms are very nice and spotless, the food is very good although l thought was a little expensive but was very nice l must add. The village itself is lovely there are no shops there and wheatsheaf is the only pub there, saying that its central to visiting lots of places and some beautiful waterfalls too, l would recommend this gorgeous little hotel to anyone...you will not be disappointed...so once again thank you for a lovely enjoyable stay to all the staff there xx

The wheatsheaf has been a recommendation from a family member and a fantastic one at that!! Such a wonderful place to stay.. this is the third time I’ve visited and each time gets batter and better. Every season is wonderful (rain, snow, shine etc) and I can’t wait for my next visit.

We had 3 nights at this wonderful venue. The service and food was excellent. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had. The accommodation was also very nice. I had the special curry one evening which was very tasty. The location is perfect for travelling around this beautiful part of England.

Our room is so lovely, with rabbit, hare and woodland decorations. Super clean and very comfy. The bathroom was perfect. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and the service was faultless. See photos. Parking was provided which was ideal. The Wheatsheaf is very local to Bolton Castle, which is where Mary Queen of Scots stayed.

Booked a table and was not disappointed. A warm welcome and fantastic friendly a**osphere. The food was excellent and was reasonably priced. I was here a year ago and will continue to return. Thanks for a wonderful the wonderful experience.

Stopped off for refreshments after our walk from Bolton castle back to Aysgarth falls. We were the only two in at the time. The bar maid was lovely and friendly. We had issues with our card payment connection to the wifi, but the barmaid said not to worry pop back when you get back to the car to pay. Amazing customer service.

Spent the night here on my way to Scotland. A five star experience from beginning to end. Lovely setting, warm & friendly welcome from everyone and the food (lunch & dinner) was outstanding. After a very comfortable nights sleep I left wishing i was staying longer. Highly recommended.

Second stay at the wheatsheaf lovely pub cosy with friendly efficient staff booked a room with a view of the dales nice and clean and warm Food is good and reasonably priced good breakfast good choice of beers packed lunches available and a lovely walk to Hayes garth falls straight from the front door great places to visit nearby

really enjoyed our visit here after a long walk. lovely cosy pub with great food and friendly service 😊 the sticky toffee pudding was delicious! the pictures on trip advisor look a little dated, the pub has been refurbished since then by the looks of it.
