Le Palace d'Anfa

Maarif|0.71km from Porte Maarif
We booked two rooms for ourselves and our two children. We also made reservations for shabbat dinner at the Hotel restaurant. We were assigned second floor rooms. The first night the music from a Morrocon dance club on the lower floor beneath us was so loud, none of us could sleep. We complained to the desk many times and each time they told us it would stop. This lasted until past 3 in the morning!!! Needless to say we were were exhausted the next day rom not sleeping. At the front desk they apologized and said it would NOT happen again. Yet, the same thing occurred Saturday night. Again past three in the morning the music blasted and thumped despite our complaints. When I asked to speak to the Manager he was always unavailable. The clerk said there was nothing he could do and he was aware ”it is a problem for many guests”. When we checked out I again asked to speak to the manager looking for a credit. Again he was off premises I was told and that he would call me. He never did. I tried calling the hotel over 20 times and was put on hold indefinitely, hung up on, and told he was unavailable. I was never able to reach him. When I went back and looked at the other 1 star reviews I see many people had the same complaint about the night club in the hotel. They know this will disrupt the guests but they do not care enough to stop it or alert the guests. They prefer reviews like this. While standing at the desk I heard other guests complaining and being given the run around. Every other hotel we stayed at in Morocco was great. This was horrible. DO NOT STAY THERE>

This hotel is more of a 2 star, certainly nothing more. The rooms are very basic, you get only one single towel per person, this will be your hand towel and body towel. The rooms overlook a busy road so can be very noisy. The room has a kettle but no coffee sachets. When I asked the receptionist if there were any places to grab a coffee sachet he couldn’t help or point me in the right direction - not very 4 star. The toilet came with half a toilet roll and the toilet had a bar smell to it which wasn’t ideal as we had to close the toilet door so we didn’t get a heartache. Additionally the door only closed if it were locked otherwise it popped open. This hotel needs to do better or rebrand itself to a two star to reflect the true position.

Impeccable service, the staff is very attentive to the customer. The rooms are very comfortable. The only complaint is that some foods in the breakfast buffet, supposedly hot, were lukewarm!

The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable! Front desk and concierge service are very good. There are not many choices for breakfast but the service is good. The dinner service was not good👎. I tried it for 2 nights and the service was not the same (I can’t say that I turned a blind eye, but it was similar). The massage in the hotel is average and doesn't feel professional.

Idou Anfa Hotel

There are better hotels in Casablanca for better / similar prices. The location is not the best considering the price. The lifts are very slow, you have to wait at least 5 minutes for a lift to come down which can be rather frustrating when you are in a rush. Additionally, when you are awaiting a lift on your floor, the lights will go out every 3-5 seconds unless you keep moving which is very strange and unnerving - even in the day (without windows in the halls it is pitch black). The bathrooms are strange with the toilet in a separate room to the sink. The view was not very nice, we overlooked the back of some residential flats with carpets and washing over hanging and they can see into your hotel room. The aircon barely worked so we sweltered. I would personally pick somewhere in the centre and in a safer location.

The room is very nice, clean, and quiet, apartment type, with induction cooker oven refrigerator and tableware kitchenware, you can buy vegetables and cook by yourself, just in the city center.
