Staff very helpful and kind. Apar**ent well equipped and comfortable. Can catch free shuttle bus in and out of Châtel or a 10 minute walk. Skiing good but it’s not snowed for a couple of weeks as unusually warm. I tore my cruciate ligament unfortunately but rescue team and medical centre excellent!

I admit, after booking this hotel based on the website and pictures, I was dreading the arrival after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. I travelled with 5 of my immediate family, 6 in total including 2 children. We had a 3 bed apar**ent. The first thing I would say is make sure your transfer drops you at the correct place. We had a late arrival and out transfer driver dropped us at the entrance at 11pm. Unbeknownst to us, that was actually the Ermitage Hotel and as it was so late we couldn't get in, reception was closed and a bit of a panic arose. After a lucky encounter with some guests, we realised the Grand Lodge was down the hilll, behind the Ermitage. Good parts. Our apar**ent was well sized, well equipped and clean. We has a basement apar**ent with a view into the valley. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything you'd need to feed a family of 6. The pool and sauna were nice after a day's ski and although it did get busy, it was never what I would call overcrowded. Lodge located next to a great little sledging area for the kids. Not so good parts . Basic lockers provided for gear but no hooks or hangers meant everything had to be crammed on the floor and stayed wet. The locker room was also very tight so best avoided at busy times. Lodges are at the bottom of a steep slope so not so great to trudge up and down when wearing ski boots Things to be aware of. Linen is provided for you to dress the beds yourself Towels are not included There is a deposit required for the room You can choose to pay for a cleaner or do this yourself. Conclusion For the money, I thought this place was great. Make sure to read the fine print to know what to expect and there are no surprises. It is a little way out of the village, but again the bus service is there for free. We found it perfectly fine for our stay.

This appalling place is dirty, the bed is what I’d expect to find in a prison (with hair ridden and unclean blankets), the staff never once answer a phone, it’s not near the ski lifts, and the building looks like a condemned building from the inside. An appalling place.

Here is a very factual opinion of my experience at the Grand Lodge, Némea residence, for a ski vacation: - the recovery of the apar**ent, supposedly from 5 p.m. is not great. We queue for a long time. - the apar**ent itself is rather very functional, relatively clean (except the blankets which we had to change), but otherwise it's not bad. We had a beautiful view but there are many apar**ents that are not so lucky... Well heated. The TV is minimalist - paid accessories (poor quality TV, wifi) should be free. - The paid parking could also be free but in the end, it's great, big and the car is protected. - the relaxation area (swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna): avoid after 5 p.m. Nevertheless, the area is clean, pleasant and the indoor/outdoor swimming pool is quite nice. - ideal location of the building, 10/15 minutes walk from the cable cars. Shuttle that passes nearby, so it's great. With a small toboggan run next to it. - the staff is friendly and did everything to make our stay as good as possible. No problem on this side for us... So overall we had a very good week but I can imagine that for some it won't be as nice.. For example if the view isn't as beautiful... For the price , it may be a little limited in some ways (paid options when it could be free) but we are well placed, and everything is functional to have a good week!

Very nice geographical location. The accommodation was good. Bedding leaves something to be desired. Pay TV remote control...Stain on the walls. Bathtub not very functional for children. No bath towel. Microscopic swimming pool, same for the jacuzzi, too bad. Sometimes unfriendly staff. We had to make our beds upon arrival.
