"The lobby was fancy and clean, and the front desk staff were friendly, even though they didn't speak any English Check-in as a foreign was hassle-free. The breakfast buffet was typical Chinese hotel breakfast food, just normal, but lacking in fresh fruit. It's close enough to the Mountain Scenic area to walk. I have two complaints, though. I had a windowless room, and it smelled awful inside, and the ventilation fan didn't help get rid of the smell. Also, the shower door wouldn't close all the way, so it left a huge puddle on the bathroom floor every time I took a shower. It was uncomfortable taking a shower while trying to hold the door shut as much as possible, too. The room was clean, when I checked in, though, and cleaned daily. I could hear some noise from guests in other rooms, like loud talking and toilets flushing. It would definitely be better if I had gotten a room with windows, to help get that smell out. It's easy to walk along the river from this hotel's location, though."

"The hotel room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. The room was very comfortable, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were also excellent. Overall, the stay was fantastic and great value for money. The hotel service was excellent, the room was clean and tidy, and the location was convenient—it's easy to find whatever you want to eat! It's only a few minutes' walk to the Summer Palace. The hotel offers guided tours, and we hired a guide named Xiao Wang. His explanations were lively and humorous, his service was excellent, and his professionalism was very high! We learned a lot about the history and culture of the area! We will definitely choose this hotel again next time! And we'll even have Xiao Wang guide us again! It was a very pleasant travel experience!!!"

"The hotel boasts a great location, making it easy to get around. It's very close to the Mountain Resort, and they even offer free guided tours. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, with many large supermarkets right in the city center. The surrounding facilities are excellent, and we visited many attractions. Plus, the free coffee on the first floor is delicious."

"Every Atour I've stayed at this year has been a disappointment. 1. **Slow Service Response**: I asked for water to be sent to my room in the morning and it never arrived, even by the time I checked out in the afternoon. Two 300ml bottles of water are nowhere near enough for a summer stay. They should provide more bottles so guests don't have to keep calling for water, which would also make it easier for their staff. 2. **Terrible Breakfast**: For a room costing over 600, the breakfast was abysmal. Limited selection, unappetizing food, and tables were slow to be cleared, leading to a messy dining area. I don't expect everything to be delicious, but at least one or two palatable options would be nice. 3. **Outdated Facilities**: The room and hallway had a musty smell. The air conditioning was excessively noisy. The toilet seat had to be lifted manually, indicating a complete lack of smart features. The room TV was too small; I couldn't even read the subtitles from bed. 4. **Restaurant Staff Needs Training**: At least three different staff members asked for my room number when I entered the dining area. Couldn't they just have one person at the entrance for registration instead of repeatedly asking loudly in the dining room? It created a poor experience. The clattering of dishes while clearing was incredibly loud throughout my meal. It felt like the staff was venting their anger on the cutlery. They really need to improve their service quality. Overall, the service quality, outdated facilities, and dining quality all need significant improvement. Atour has been consistently declining in multiple aspects over the past few years."

"The location is convenient, situated on a bustling main street, making dining and shopping very easy. A large supermarket (RT-Mart) is about one kilometer away, and online orders can be delivered to your room. The hotel is in a small courtyard with staff directing parking. For getting around, I recommend taking a taxi to the Summer Palace, as parking there is inconvenient; it's a few hundred meters from the hotel to the main road where you can easily hail a taxi."

On my first day, I didn't receive any welcome fruit when checking in, but the staff member was very nice and managed to get some for me when I asked. Overall, it definitely doesn't live up to its 5-star price point; it felt more like a budget hotel. I will not be staying here again!"

The accommodation is modern, and well maintained , it has a wonderful infinity pool that looks out onto the mountains and farming landscape . The meals are nutritious and bountiful. Mr Wi Jingfeng and his daughter are very attentive and try and make the stay memorable. Chengde is a magnificent place to visit - Mountain Resort, God’sThumb, Little Potala, Pune Temple and access to Great Wall."

"This hotel offers great value for money. It's conveniently located, not too far from the station and especially close to the tourist attractions. Situated in a central part of the city, there are plenty of restaurants and a large supermarket nearby. **Facilities:** The rooms feature Xiaodu smart control and a decent-sized Hisense TV. Other facilities are not old or dated. I particularly liked that the toilet and shower are separated, which is a great design. **Cleanliness:** The room was kept very clean. **Service:** The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. They even upgraded my room, which was a nice bonus!"

"I booked a discounted room for one person, which was supposed to be the same as other rooms except for a narrow window. Why was there no hot water in the shower? Luckily it was afternoon. I contacted the front desk, and they said they'd send someone to check it right away. Half an hour passed and no one came. I called again, and a repairman finally arrived after 10 minutes. He fiddled with it for a while before getting hot water, but it wasn't much. I managed to take a quick shower. Before leaving, I told the front desk I'd complain and ask them to fix it again. Only then did they say there was a bath and sauna at the new location 200 meters away, which was included in my room booking. They didn't even tell me where the bath and sauna were when I checked in. Last time, I also booked the Ni's Haitai Resort on Ctrip, and the front desk didn't mention the included hot spring bath. We only found out after check-out that our room booking included it. The air conditioner was old; the remote didn't turn on the lights. I thought it wasn't working, so I called the front desk staff, who operated it, but it took a while to start. The hotel's location is quite good, opposite the Wulie River walkway, which is nice for a stroll in the evening. This is the main branch, which also caters to tour groups. The new branch is not far away and is larger."

"The hotel has taken in stray cats at the entrance to its backyard, and the staff are warm and caring, which alone deserves full marks. The rooms and public areas are well-decorated, new, and exactly as pictured. The bed is very comfortable, and I personally think the quality of the decor far exceeds that of 7 Days Inn. The location is also excellent, making it convenient for ordering takeout or going out to eat and shop. There is parking and charging stations in the backyard, which is perfect for those driving. The only downside is the smell of smoke and sewer odor in the room (but you can mention it, and the staff will actively help you change rooms). If they could improve the sewer odor and differentiate between non-smoking floors, it would be perfect."
