Guest UserHighly recommend Saihanba Nursing Homestay! The overall homestay is very warm and comfortable, the room is clean and tidy, the layout is very atmospheric, and the living is particularly comfortable. The boss is a particularly enthusiastic young man, the service is meticulous and thoughtful, and the heart is sincere and warm. Also intimately took us deep into the grassland to travel through the play, the experience was full. The accommodation experience is full, the price is super high, and we will pick mushrooms again in September!

I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm.
But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable.
The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He
eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station.
They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”

LusidaieryujuluoBeijing is about to get a heat stroke, so I chose a two-day and one-night grassland trip. I looked for many B&Bs (because I was with a puppy, so I couldn't talk about hotels). Finally, I chose this one. First, pets don't need cleaning fees, and second, this store is one of the few hotels with air conditioning in Datan Town! Although it's a small detail, if you go to the grassland to escape the heat in summer, it's inevitable that it will rain, and the room of the B&B will inevitably be damp. Turning on the heater in summer is a joke. At this time, the air-conditioned room will make people feel dry and cool. Although it's a small matter, the improvement in comfort can only be known by comparison. There are not many guests in the B&B, it won't be noisy, and it's very quiet at night. The location of the B&B is very close to Ma Town, about half an hour's drive from the grassland sky road.
The room is very large, very new, and very clean. There is also a small courtyard outside the room. It's very comfortable to be alone in a daze, look at the mountain view, and have a little drink. It's very enjoyable to watch a movie on the huge projection. After a day of play, taking a bath in the big bathtub at night can eliminate a day's fatigue. There are also drinks, souvenirs and afternoon tea on the day of arrival.
The owner and staff of the B&B are very kind and down-to-earth. The owner also recommended a free attraction, which is great!
Picture 1 is the room, and the last two are the section of Tianlu closest to the B&B. I personally feel that it is much better than the section in Zhangbei, with pure beauty. I hope that I can still see this level when I go again.

It exceeded my expectations! First of all, the campground's atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. Nestled amidst lush greenery, it overlooks the entire village's hillside, offering views of the distant mountains. It also boasts a wealth of amenities (a children's playground, a mountain reading bar and art studio (said to be converted into a pottery area), an observatory, light hiking trails, a greenhouse, a deer park, and more). It was my first time experiencing a tent camp, and while it certainly wasn't as well-equipped and insulated as a typical B&B, it was small and well-equipped, and the small terraces in front of each tent were incredibly cozy. The mountain air was cool and close to nature!
The food was especially surprising, with its nostalgic breakfast and evening bar, as well as the delicious hot pot, open-air barbecue, and wood-fired iron pot stews. While breakfast options might seem limited, every one was incredibly delicious, featuring homemade salted duck eggs, handmade lamb and cilantro buns made the night before, and eggs from the farm's own pheasants.
I look forward to returning once the private hot spring room is renovated!

Guest UserThis is my second time staying at this hotel, and the main reasons I chose it again are its excellent location and spaciousness. It's conveniently located, making it easy to cross the road to watch free sunrises and sunsets from the hill opposite. Plus, being a little set back from the main road ensures it's quiet. Its biggest advantage is the large courtyard with flowers and plants, perfect for a peaceful evening stroll. The attached photos show the hotel exterior from different distances, as well as pictures taken from the small hill. It rained this time, so I missed the sunset, but I'll catch it next time!

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section.
This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport).
The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

This is a nice and clean hotel close to restaurants and shops, and they accepted me as a foreigner without a problem.
But it was the very first time on my two year long bicycle journey that I had to leave my bicycle outside the hotel in a car park. I know that China is a safe country, because there are security cameras everywhere, but if something happens to my bike, it might be the end of my journey.
The other disturbing thing was that the staff was talking very loud in the corridor at 6.30 am and I couldn't get enough sleep. Please keep in mind that people want to rest and sleep .You can talk to each other in a more polite way.

The room is in line with the price, some simple but very clean. The boss and the waiter are very warm and the service is in place. The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first.

The B&B is in a prime location. There is a No. 28 bus to the Mountain Resort and a No. 516 bus to Chengde South Station at the door, which is very convenient for going out. The large glass windows in the room provide a wide view and good lighting, and you can have a bird's eye view of Chengde City. The interior layout is warm, the lighting is soft, the sanitation is clean, the quilt is of appropriate thickness, and the surroundings are quiet, suitable for sleeping. The most thoughtful thing is that there are snacks such as candy and biscuits in the house to relieve stress and relieve hunger. The building is backed by Sengfeng Mountain, surrounded by lush vegetation, and there is a winding mountain road. There is a scenic spot, Kuixing Tower, on the mountain, with a wide view and most of the city. I am very lucky to choose Aidu B&B and enjoy it very much.
