GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the Summer Resort, which is very convenient, and there are many dining options nearby. Although it's in a bustling area, the hotel rooms are surprisingly quiet, with modern and complete facilities. However, not all rooms have a mini-bar, so if you need one, it's best to carefully compare room types in advance. The service was incredibly thoughtful and warm; since it was my birthday, the hotel even thoughtfully sent a small cake and a fruit plate, and also gave a souvenir when I left. Many thanks! The surrounding environment of the hotel is a bit messy, but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

GGuest UserThis was my first time in Chengde, and after comparing several hotels, I chose this one.
The location is close to the city center, though it's on a hillside. However, entering the hotel from the north gate is very convenient.
The hotel's facilities and service are excellent. The staff greeted us with smiles, were warm and attentive, and politely welcomed us upon check-in and departure. The front desk even gave a gift of candy to our child, which felt more personal than what you get at some so-called five-star hotels.
It happened to be my mother's birthday during our trip, so we arranged her birthday dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant on the second floor. The food was just as good as the Xin Qianlong restaurant we'd eaten at the day before. The hotel even helped decorate the private room, making the birthday celebration more festive.
I've traveled to many places and stayed in all kinds of hotels, but the service and warmth here were outstanding in every aspect. I'd like to give them a thumbs-up and say thank you!

SSteve HKNew hotel, with spotless facilities and friendly staff. It's very close to the Chengde South Station, which is handy for high speed trains - though is a bus ride or taxi ride away from downtown Chengde and the Mountain Resort area. (Bus 29 takes you down there, but takes a while). Breakfast was good, and there are snacks in reception wheel you come back. The restaurant is only open in the morning - no bar/other facilities, but there are places to eat/shop nearby, though the area feels very new and developing. It was a great choice for me as I came in and out of Chengde South Station and I used the hotel as my base.

CCocodaiTraveling with both the elderly and young kids, we made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get away for the weekend. I had already set my sights on this hotel, and the drive here was smooth. The hotel grounds are lovely, very peaceful and comfortable. No TV is actually a genius move, really good! It really helped my family focus on relaxation and the outdoors.
The kids absolutely loved the private hot spring. They were a bit disappointed they couldn't go into the public one, so for 468 for 2 hours, we booked a private one for them to enjoy. It was fantastic, especially the little milk bath – so refreshing and cool.

LLui Fai GerryBrilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices

Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location
I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets.
The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be.
The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot.
Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat.
No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it.
Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

GGuest UserProbably my favorite hotel of the trip, it was the low season and the hotel was pretty empty with staff aplenty hence the excellent service. It was clean and they even had complimentary dessert soup in the evening. Location was reasonable and there were plenty of eateries around. Definitely enjoyed my stay here!

GGuest UserThis is the second year of my family Fengning Bashang-Xilingrad side for the summer. Before my daughter came, she said that she would stay at the Squirrel Inn and revisit the colorful forests. Outside the Squirrel Inn, you can often see cute chipmunks (squirrels can be seen in the colorful forests), and you can also find many interesting plants and animals. Children in the parent-child room like swing seats (adults can sit) children's tents and Trojan horses, these seemingly simple layouts have made the room suddenly enter the world of role-playing children. Breakfast (in the colorful food workshop) has the most flavored camel milk and milk tea = milk + tea + salt along the way. The most worth mentioning is the sincere reception of the front desk as last year. Somehow each room - there is a room card, but my family and the Squirrel Inn service team say hello to the door contact is a pleasant memory every day.

LLanseguoziliThe hotel is conveniently located, with a bus stop just outside the door. It is about a ten-minute walk from the Mountain Resort. It is also very convenient for eating and shopping. Just across the road from the hotel is the Jinlong Shopping Plaza. The front desk service is very enthusiastic, the breakfast is quite rich, and the room is fully equipped and clean. Chengde is also beautiful in autumn.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and they were quite good. After checking in and resting up, we hiked the Great Wall after 3 PM. We didn't take the cable car at all. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to Zhuanduokou, and we took our time enjoying the scenery. The path down from Houchuankou has stairs. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Jinshanling!
