Baan Sakuna Hotel
4.8/531 Reviews
Our two day stay was a wonderful experience. This small hotel is very much a family-run affair and is clean and comfortable with a lovely garden and views. The reception area, open to the air, is full of beautiful objects and photographs and is a relaxing place to sit. Delicious food with special bread and jams. Mai, the owner, is a delightful, warm and interesting person who does everything she can to help everyone. For us, she provided delicious, beautifully presented vegan food. We talked at some length to Mai which was fascinating and delightful. The whole experience was charming. The hotel is the last pick up for at least one of the companies operating the slowboats on the Mekong so it was easy and quick to get to the Laos border and through to the slowboats from the hotel. Altogether an impeccable, memorable and unique experience. Could not have been better in any way. Gill and Dave (stayed 10th till 12th February)
Chiangkhong Green Inn Resident
4.4/56 Reviews
The spacious room is conveniently arranged: a desktop with a chair, a table with two chairs (which is rare). Snow-white bedding. There is a public area for free coffee. The hotel is two minutes from the beautiful embankment of Mekonga. Access directly from the main street, it is not necessary to look for. From the downsides - parking only for three car seats.
Sleeping Well Chiangkhong

I had a great stay at Sleeping Well in Chiang Khong, a cozy and comfortable guesthouse in the charming town of Chiang Khong, near the border with Laos. The owner, Nok, was very friendly and helpful, she gave me a warm welcome and arranged a transfer to the border for me. The room was spacious, clean and well-equipped, with a balcony overlooking the Mekong river. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The breakfast was delicious and generous, with fresh fruits, eggs, toast, coffee and juice. The guesthouse also has a lovely garden and a common area where you can relax and meet other travelers. The location is convenient, close to the main street, the market and the pier. I highly recommend Sleeping Well in Chiang Khong if you are looking for a peaceful and pleasant place to stay in this area
