Riva Vista Riverfront Resort Chiangrai
4.6/562 Reviews
Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai
The hotel is very new and has a nice view on the river bank. It may be a bit noisy during the day when there are cruise ships, but it is very quiet at night. It’s a 5-minute walk from the Blue Temple and provides free bicycles, which is very convenient! The hotel waiters don't seem to be very enthusiastic about Chinese tourists and hope to improve. There is a riverside Western restaurant not far away. The environment and products are very good. It only takes about five minutes to walk. It is recommended as a five-star restaurant.

I can no longer remember how many times I have stayed at the hotel. It is still our favourite, even if it is small and a bit old-fashioned. Even so, the river, the pool and the location are still my favourite places. It is true that there are other hotels, more luxurious, modern, with more facilities, on the river that can offer the same, but they are much bigger and always noisier. The rooms at IMperial are super spacious and we have everything. The only thing I would like is that at least, after having stayed there almost 10 times, we feel like they should be a little bit more attentive with us trying to provide the room we like and make our stay even better. Even so, we will continue to go there and Chiang Rai will remain one of our favourite destinations and places.

Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai
This hotel has had a major makeover! It's a large hotel where sections have been refurbished. We stayed in a Grand Deluxe pool Access room that was big, clean, comfortable beds and direct access to the pool. It was great for the kids and easy for us. The best part of our experience was a staff member named ”Fah”. Far was awesome and went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to all types of traveler and will definitely be back soon.

The room is clean. The hotel doesn't have a lift. It's cheaper in the app. It is very close to Wat Rong Suea Ten. The view is beautiful. There is a small balcony, but be careful of the bathroom being slippery.

Location is a bit out of the busy town area and it is at a small lanes area, which is 5 to 10mins driving to the town center or night market places and malls. Car park is limited in front of the guesthouse (maybe around 7 lots). There is free bicycle, but I not use it as we have rental car here. Room is not new, but all things are function well. TV only Thai channels. Breakfast is included with american style with coffee, tea, toast and fruits. The reception lady is very friendly.
Baan Nukanong Guesthouse

Amphoe Mueang Chiang Rai
We had an amazing stay here and extended several days. The guesthouse is a little way out of the centre of Chiang Rai, but they are also aware of this and offer lots of information and help for booking taxis/tuktuks or bike hire. Great place, if you do hire a bike, as this place is much better value than the places in the centre. It is also only a half hour walk from the Blue Temple, which we found helpful. The room is bright, spacious and very clean. The Reception area is a comfortable place to sit. There is a water boiler and microwave available 7am-10pm along with free teas and coffees. They also have a selection of frozen/microwave meals, snacks and drinks for sale. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They send postcards home for us, and helped us book our slow boat up to Luang Prabang. Cannot recommend enough, if you don't mind being a little outside town.
