I looked up onto CQ Central Loop's banner unexpectedly and I didn't expect its location to be so central! There were convenience stores and restaurants and Metros all nearby.
Front Office was also all ready to receive guests, and very kindly directed me to the lounge when they realize that my check in was a while away. The lounger was a perfect cozy escape from the cold and had coffee and tea facilities and wifi.
The room was small but well kept and I slept comfortably.

It was a nice, clean and tidy place to stay. It seems like a lot of Koreans stay here. You can get there right from the airport by subway, and you can walk to all the nearby tourist attractions. I think I'll stay here again next time I come to Chicago.
It is a super hotel, large room with large bathroom.
Friendly staff and the location is great.
We had a corner room so that made it absolutely great.
We had breakfast at Meli and that was also fine, not over the top, simple but tasty.
If we go again we would love to come again.

Overall we had a great stay at the hotel. The location, although it appears on google maps to be a little outside of the city centre, is actually very convenient. There are several bus lines that will get you to the city centre (which for me, means the DuSable bridge) in less than 10 minutes.
A couple of things to note. To access the free WiFi you need to have a Bonvoy account (free to create)
Regarding the breakfast, Trip.com seems to display inverted information. It was available Monday to Friday in the 1600 Club (lower floor of the hotel) but IS NOT available on a weekend.

The hotel is close to the city center, it is very convenient to get in and out, there are many famous restaurants around, the hotel environment is pretty good, but the room price is too small, it feels oppressive, the sound insulation is poor, and you can clearly hear the sound of the corridor and the police cars passing by on the road outside Sound, I guess I won't stay next time, I still prefer hotels near the lake. High factor of safety.

Excellent
GGuest UserWe stayed here on a 2 day vacation after getting married (not the honeymoon). We were on the 7th floor so we thought it would be rather quiet, or, at least, not too much ambient noise from outside. We were wrong. We heard cars, sirens and utility trucks like they were right outside our window. We heard the elevator ding every time someone called for one. The walls (exterior and interior) must be very thin compared to every other hotel we've been to.
We ordered Chinese from a nearby restaurant and it was very good, but we had way more than we could finish. Opened up the fridge and it was turned off! We turned it on high and it never got very cold. We probably should have called the front desk, but instead we told them on the way out.
The ice machine was broken on our floor and the vending machine would not take credit cards. The rooms are dated. The bathroom lights are very bright and only one switch for all of them. When going to the bathroom in the middle of the night you are blinded. This is ridiculous. There should be a way of illuminating in at least 2 stages or at least don't install concert lighting.
The staff were not friendly nor inviting. The pillows and sheets were nice, but the bet was very uncomfortable.
All in all I would never stay here again and wish I had seen a review like this when I researched area hotels.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotelâs robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!
GGuest UserThe hotel has a great location near many attractions, making it convenient for sightseeing. The environment is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. The staff is friendly, and the facilities are modern and comfortable. I highly recommend it for couples looking for a relaxing stay.
SsknoseyThe free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating.
There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm.
There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.
NNicole Plantenis1. Didnât asked for accesible room, but thatâs what I got.
2. AC/heating system had a weird noise all night, you canât turn it on because literally you wonât sleep.
3. Shower had someoneâs else hairs in the shower wall, gross.
- Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects.
- Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself.
-If you still do your rounds but you donât inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldnât be in that position.
Room fridge isnât working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so whoâs fault is it? client or hotel? donât charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service.
Also, if you guys are having a group of âyoung teen/just turn 21â people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didnât required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These âkidsâ were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare.
Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated.
I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but thereâs no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience.
Not sure if I would give it a second try. Canât risk it.
JJuliThe staff were amazing so I want everyone to know that part. This is not the front desk staff. Now on to the badâŠ. The rooms are not clean. I dislike having to say this. But itâs facts. When walking in the room- first thing we notice is a huge pretty fresh stain on floor that screamed puke. It was attempted to be cleaned but the orange stain was disgusting. The windows were smudged. The glass tables had finger prints all over. The walls had dried splashes of who knows what and edges around the room at knee high were full of dust. Soap was left in shower and the floor when the door was opened and closed was disgusting. No liners in garbage cans.
The front desk was very understanding and switched us rooms. Problem was it was a downsize. We lived through it but will all the hotels we have stayed in while in the city - (dozens- as we are only 2 hours away and like to stay at different places) this one unfortunately we will not be returning too.
AAmeliaLocation is excellent if youâre transferring in Chicago, staff are nice, water pressure is a bit low in the shower, the hotel is a bit old, but itâs good so far for a night to wait for the transfer flight
TTamariI was in this hotel for a conference so my need is quite minimal. Generally speaking the hotel is in a great location that is easily accessible. The room itself is fairly simple , I think for this price though the service should be a little better. My room has couple of occasion that the tea and coffee wasnât top up after cleaning and soap as well. The bathtub is a bit stained but it is cleaned. Wifi - there were multiple times that it was a bit slow .
If I have to rank based on the price as well I would say above average
GGuest UserThere is a bus to the airport. The service is good. I checked in early. Later, the plane arrived at 6:00, and the front desk delayed check-out until 3:00. The service is heart-warming, and it is also a good choice for airport transit
GGuest UserChecking in at the
Congress Plaza was so straight forward. I was upgraded without asking to a King size bed with a lake view. The room was perfect. Fridge, safe, TV , Coffee and water.
