Hotels with Parking in Chicago

Recently stayed for 5 nights on a business trip and was less than satisfied. When I arrived to my room, the refrigerator and TV were both unplugged and the carpet was wet under the refrigerator from it being off. I had to move the dresser out and plug both back in. While there I had a few articles of clothing dry cleaned and that was a mistake. I followed the in room instructions filling out the form and dialing ”0” to have the clothes picked up but couldn't get a hold of anybody. When I brought them in the provided bag to the front desk the staff looked at me as if I was from another planet before calling somebody to come take them as they wanted nothing to do with it. The clothes were returned late and not by the 6PM time they were guaranteed to be delivered by. To make it worse, when reviewing by receipt after leaving I found that I was charged nearly triple what my laundry receipt showed. I sent an email to the hotel with copies of both the laundry and hotels receipts and over 5 days later now and have yet to get a response. I called yesterday and after waiting on the phone for over 25 minutes I was transferred to accounting. Accounting told there was nothing they could do because that was the amount the outside service they use charged them even though it didn't match the pricing provided in the room. I was then transferred again to housekeeping where I had to leave a voicemail and a day later and still no response. There are plenty of hotels on and near Michigan Ave. If you prefer good customer service stay elsewhere.

This is probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at in the U.S. I've stayed at this hostel twice now. The first time was in 2015 and the second time this past month for Market Days. Location: The hostel is centrally located in Downtown Chicago/the Loop. It's easily accessible to get to and from O'Hare Airport via the Blue Line which runs 24 hours. The closest CTA station is Jackson Station which also has connections to many other CTA lines. The hostel is also located within walking distance to many other tourist hotspots like Millennium Park, Broadway shows, Lou Malnati's Pizza (10 minutes), etc. There's also a CVS Pharmacy at the corner of the street that sells liquor and other essentials. On the weekday, the area is bustling with downtown workers, but on the weekends, it's like a ghost town. Most restaurants and stores close by 8/9pm. The only place to eat at if you have a late night is Taco Bell which closes at 2am. Another downside is that there are a lot of homeless people that have set up camp in front and around the hostel, so some people may feel unsafe walking around. Security: The property is very secure. There are multiple entry points to get into the hostel with a key card. There's another entry point to get access to the elevator banks that lead to the rooms as well as required card access to go upstairs and into the rooms. There's also a 24-hour front desk. This was a saving grace for me because my flight from New York was delayed that I ended up arriving at 3:30am. Keep in mind, if you plan to arrive after 3am, you should notify/call the front desk and let them know otherwise they'll mark you as a no-show and cancel your reservation. They also have storage lockers/a luggage room for a fee. Facilities/Amenities: My original reservation was for a 4-bed male dormitory, but there was someone sleeping in my assigned bunk. When you arrive, there is a fitted sheet, pillow sheets, a bath towel, and a face towel (no comforter). You are expected to make your bed. Since I arrived so late and my roommates were already asleep, the overnight staff (DJ) was nice enough to put me in an 8-bed dormitory that was unoccupied, so that I didn't wake up anyone. Both rooms were very spacious/high ceilings/massive windows with a lot of space to store luggage and walk around. All the rooms have lockers (bring your own lock or buy one at the front desk). In the 4-bed dorm, there is a common area with a kitchen/bathroom that connects with 2 suites. The 8-bed room is setup where the toilet, shower, and sink are all in separate areas instead of all in one room. The shower area has dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There are also common showers and toilets on every floor. The downside of the dormitory is that you can't control the temperature of the room. The hotel is in a great location! Close to main attractions and lots of restaurants! Main staff was not very friendly. Hotel is beautiful when you enter. Rooms are very old and need updating. The toilet in my bathroom had a corroded tank and a broken lever. That was a bit frustrating. Bed was very hard!! Room was very cold! Only one thermostat for the entire hotel. There is no individual thermostat in each room. Had to ask for extra blankets. They did provide that for me. The fitness room is very nice! Every thing you need to have a really good workout! They indicated they are in the process of renovating rooms. They’ve just not completed that project yet. I would stay there again if the price was right. Hopefully next time I’ll get an updated room!

The location is excellent . It is about a two minute walk from the north end of Michigan Avenue very close to the Hancock building/Water Tower. Staff were super friendly and helpful from the moment we came through the door. They assisted with parking as well as giving an extensive list of where to eat in the neighborhood. They also provided personal recommendations when we asked. Thanks Mark, Felicia and Alicia for your great service and charming personalities; you made the stay feel even more special. It is an older hotel that is not likely to appeal to those who want one with all the bells and whistles and an expansive fancy lobby associated with a modern, high-end hotel. Those aspects may be nice but they also come at a substantial price and do not guarantee great service. This hotel is an excellent value for the money. Our rooms were clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The views from the room were lovely so that was an extra bonus. There are refrigerators in the room and plug-in slots for electronic devices along the edge of the desk. Other reviewer‘s have not noticed these items and have complained that they did not exist. There was nothing that we needed that was not there. While we did not request any, I heard from another guest in the elevator that staff was very responsive on bringing them ice when they needed it. Hotel staff also take Covid safety seriously. This was a great stay in a beautiful city. I would not hesitate to return to the Whitehall.

The Chicago Hotel Collection Magnificent Mile The cleaning rules and service is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. You have to request room service I requested room service a day before as the policy says and they still don’t clean the room towels were not switched out the garbage was not disposed of. I complained for a second time at the front desk with the two young ladies and now she wants to argue with me. Then the argument turned into negotiations on what gets cleaned and what does not. She says “we can replace the towels and remove the trash but we can’t make up the bed” (SMDH) I can’t make this Chit up I think it’s horrible that I have to negotiate with the front desk about getting my room cleaned, hotels are supposed to clean the room regardless whether you ask for them or not that’s common courtesy but this place does not. It became a negotiation tactic this should not even be a conversation as hotels are supposed to clean your room daily. The Wifi is shotty at best. Logging on to Wi-Fi seems to be a very difficult challenge as once you connect to the Wi-Fi in your settings then you have to go to your web browser and log in a code and that doesn’t happen. Finally, after about 10 attempts the web login page pulled up. Their Wi-Fi system does not allow your connected device to stay on you have to re-login every time you shut down your device therefore you have the same problem all over again also I found it harder to connect at late night hours as opposed to the morning and I’m not sure if they’re cutting off the Wi-Fi the other problem that I had was it would connect to one device and not the other. I can’t recommend this place at all if you’re looking for good service the hotel room is nice but that’s where it ends. This hotel lacks good service or good customer service at the front desk, they just keep repeating “sir it's policy” to do this, certain policy to do that and if that’s their policy with Customer service and how they handle a problem or three customers it’s not a hotel I suggest anyone going to, especially for the high dollar amount per night I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone if I could! Every single staff member was super nice and answered all my questions fast. The LOCATION is PERFECT! I was staying here for Lollapalooza and it was just a 8 or so minute walk to grant park. Being right on the river was incredible! The inside is very nice and clean and the room was very spacious. Will stay here gain if I ever come to Chicago!

Hotel is very well situated in a really nice location and we always felt safe coming & going...walked a LOT and most things we needed were very close. The Majestic is an older hotel, so the carpet and bathrooms could use a bit of updating, but the amenities were nice. Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows, covers and AC, a MUST in summer. Separate TV room with couch and desk was worth the bit extra. Entrance requires guests to always go by the small front desk which is ALWAYS staffed day or night. This means anyone entering to use stairs or elevator must go by a staff member...a feeling of safety accompanies this arrangement. Front desk staff was always attentive and pleasant with a kind greeting. A stop by the breakfast area, though no breakfast offered since covid restrictions, was a MUST to grab a cup of their special blend coffee they've used/sourced for 10 years...it is absolutely HEAVENLY and always fresh day or night. Quaint, safe, clean and offers a pleasant stay in the heart of Chicago. The area has nice landscaping which makes you feel you are in a neighborhood...pretty & pleasant. Easy access to a bus stop, the lake and lots of nice businesses, cafes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

One of the main reasons my daughter and I picked the Warwick hotel in Chicago was that it was in a good location and had a bar and a restaurant on premises. We like to go have a drink or eat without walking the streets especially when we first check in to relax from a long day of traveling. When we got to the check in desk ,we found out that the bar and restaurant have been shut down for a while and probably not reopening for another year.online shows great photos of delicious food dishes. We were very upset that that was not disclosed prior to our stay, we would have chosen another hotel.we asked to speak to the manager as we were told to do that when I called warwickhotels.com. We were told the manager was off.we then talked to a supervisor that said she would be just as upset as we were but she couldn’t do much about it.we went out to the streets to try and find another hotel last minute.we took our suitcases b/c there was no one to watch them and the hotel sign said they were not responsible. We didn’t have any luck walking around and checking the near hotels. I felt like we were stuck in a situation we did not like and no one cared. There was also no Wi-Fi . I tried to connect as a guest a dozen times- it kept saying turn off browser and try again. We were also checked in as 2 guests only to find out there were no cups for water in the room and only 1 cup for the little coffee pot which was undrinkable due to the old creamers . The smell was a stale smell so we passed on drinking it.instead had to get dressed and walk the streets to get a cup of coffee. Sorry but I feel we were greatly deceived with the whole experience. I gave the hotel a 1 but really should have given it a big zero!,,

An excellent hotel with clean and large room. The cleaning lady is much kind and helpful. Hotel is located in the Center of Chicago. The transport is very convenient.
