"I was so pleased with my stay at the Hotel Saint Clair. I arrived in Chicago very early and they allowed me to check my bag until check in. After a morning of exploring, I came back to the hotel tired from traveling and they were able to get me in my room an hour early. The room was cozy and clean. Great location, friendly staff, I would definitely stay here again."

"We recently stayed at the Warwick Allerton Chicago. The hotel has an unbeatable location right on the Magnificent Mile—perfect for walking everywhere! The room was also very clean and well-maintained. However, a major downside for us was the poor soundproofing. Since the hotel is near a hospital, we frequently heard loud ambulance sirens throughout the night. This made it very difficult to get uninterrupted sleep."

"The hotel is in a convenient location and the price is relatively affordable. Upon check-in, they offered cookies, which was a nice and thoughtful touch. However, the room facilities were quite outdated, and the air conditioning was very noisy, making it difficult to sleep at night. Additionally, the bathroom floor lacks an extra drain, so when showering, water tends to spill out of the bathtub, and cleaning it up is a hassle."

"The hotel was very clean & the bed was super comfy! Check in was easy & they let us check in early which was very helpful. The door man at the bottom of the elevator seemed a little judge mental. We just wanted to go to the bar after attending the baseball game but he treated us like we weren't guests of the hotel, that was a little off putting but the bartender was wonderful!"

It is within 5 kilometers from the city center. The room is quite big and clean. The breakfast is simple and cost-effective.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, next to Millennium Park, and the rooms facing the park have a wide view. There is a supermarket and a restaurant downstairs, which is quite convenient. The room is average, large in size, but the facilities are relatively old. However, the hotel has no swimming pool, only a gym, and no breakfast restaurant. These two points are deducted, which also surprised me a little, thinking that these two items should be standard for luxury hotels. I booked a room with breakfast, because there is no restaurant, and I can only eat by delivering the meal to the room. But the hotel breakfast rules are unreasonable. Although there is a breakfast limit of 31 dollars per person per day (corresponding to the breakfast set of 30-31 dollars on the menu). But this limit does not include the delivery fee, service fee, and tax. It means that you have to pay 30 dollars out of your pocket to have a normal breakfast. When checking out, after reporting the unreasonable policy to the hotel, the hotel promised to waive this part of the fee in the bill, but the bill received after arriving at the airport showed that the full breakfast fee was charged (including the price of the set itself), nearly 100 dollars per day. Finally, through the continuous communication between Ctrip and the agent, this part of the fee was refunded. The result is good, but the process is tortuous.

In my whole life I barely give 2 stars feedback to property, honestly I just wanna give 1 star feedback but the residents are friendly and nice that why I add one more star for them. The location is really convenient, room setting is super clean and organization. However, the black old lady who works at front desk is really mean and rude, she tried to bully me when I was checking in. Her service attitude likes she's guest I'm staff, and I owed her money, too. After check in my mood is really down, so I can't get any reason is why I pay almost $400 a night come here to get treatment like that. If you come to check Chicago I won't recommend this hotel for, or if you like the hotel but don't come to check in around 11am-1pm on Saturday！

We were told by the third party that they would refund us but that the hotel had to release our reservation. We called them immediately after realizing the dates were wrong which was within an hour. The reservation was for two days from then. The hotel said they would not cancel it. They charged us almost $600 for a room we did not stay in and called in advance to explain our situation. They also did not allow for us to change the days to the days we were actually looking for. While the hotel is lovely and the staff was pleasant even delivering the bad news I won’t be looking to book with them again.

If you want to cook in the room, you can request some cooking pots, but they were overused and scratched. Their free breakfast is decent. Very nice gym with a peloton bike. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.
