Let's start with the false promise. I have knee issues and asked them if there were stairs; they said 20-25 small ones. Did not say that they were raw steps on hills. My knee pain became worse after this trip. The food was mediocre, to put it mildly. Plus, there were no options; you only get what the cook is in the mood to cook. The day we left, we got rice balls and neer dosa for breakfast. We had to ask for a basic thing like a bread omelet, and that, too, buy the bread ourselves. We had a kid with us who almost could not eat anything for all 3 days. The cottage floor had carpet, which was filthy. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is that the service staff was very polite and tried their best to accommodate with whatever limited resources they had. Also, did I mention that the cottage smelt of mold and damp? There were dogs there too who are not pet so please be careful if you are not comfortable with stray dogs.
