Find the Cheap Barcelona Hotels

The staff and location were great! The 24 hour snack buffet was below average and the attendant was very cranky. The hotel is in dire need of repairs and updating. The interior is very dated, room carpeting was dirty with no luggage racks provided, leaving us to place suitcases on the floor. The sliding shower doors made a hideous screaching noise with each use and did not contain the water, creating a floor flood with each use. The towels need replacing- worn and rough. The bathroom fan didn’t work. The drapery was detaching from both windows. Overall very disappointing.

Stayed here recently for five nights and would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of travelling to Barcelona. The hotel itself is 30mins from the airport cost us €35 and has a bus stop right outside the door to get you to all the major attractions in Barcelona. The H16 bus gets you to Placa del. Catalunya in 20 mins and the 59 will take you to las Ramblas via the seafront in about the same time. If you don’t want to pre-buy a bus ticket you can just tap as you go for each trip. Although the area is very quiet at night time the buses run late and you get dropped directly at the hotel door. There was a few nights we got off one stop early to use the supermarket and walked the 5 mins to the hotel and we felt very safe as its well lit up and the street is good and wide and we only encountered a few locals out walking their dogs. Pobelnou is 10 min walk away if you want to check out that area and the beach is a 5 min walk. We had a room on the 6th floor over looking the pool which was very quiet even during the day as the hotel seemed to be favoured by a slightly older crowd. Breakfast was very well presented good choice of foods to suit everyone. Room was spacious and the air con worked great when you finally mastered the controls nothing too technical. All in all we had a lovely 5 night stay here and would definitely return

The interior, service, and breakfast were all perfect. It takes about 30 minutes from the airport on the Aerobus A2 line, and for sightseeing you can access the L1 and L2 lines at the nearby metro station, making it a very convenient base for sightseeing.

Just came back from our trip to Barcelona and our stay in Hotel California. The Hotel is set within 200 metres distance of The Rambla Main Street, market areas and plenty of cafes and bars to choose from, the rooms are clean & tidy and breakfast perfectly adequate. The staff are pleasant especially one particular receptionist Jaine who was very helpful who even carried our two cases upstairs whilst the lift was temporarily broken and also guided us which locations to go. Only one downside was one receptionist who seemed to work the late shift looked like he just fell out of bed and probably had as he seemed half asleep. All in all I would recommend and definitely go back. A+

The location of the hotel is quite central. It is next to the main church. It is very convenient for eating and shopping nearby. I regret not booking a hotel with breakfast. The environment and service are no less than domestic five-star hotels. The environment is designed to be quite high-end. The three of us girls just entered the hotel. From the front door, two gentlemen came running from a distance to help us carry our luggage. They were warm and considerate. They also took the initiative to help us take a taxi to the train station when we checked out. The only drawback of the hotel is that the sound insulation is relatively poor. Just checked out and I can recommend this hotel 100 per cent .. we booked throu jet2 the breakfast option and a junior suite that had the privilege room access with drinks and snacks plus free spa entry per day and mini bar free usage in room Roof top bar and pool does get busy but we spent time up there and was no problem finding loungers Spa was fabulous and used twice and we had a meal one evening that was very good … staff very nice and had no problem Junior suite was perfect and has kettle / hairdryer/ toiletries etc .. no noise issue due to ongoing building work that we had been advised of before we arrived Metro 5 minute walk and taxis plenty of them Went to sitges on the train .. beautiful place for 9euros return Will gladly come back here and not sure why some reviews were not so good Thank you for a perfect stay !

Hotel was an amazing location close to amenities and most of the iconic places in Barcelona. Clean and very helpful staff.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous; every detail, perfectly appointed. The pool, sauna and steam room were 100% worth the price of admission. It would be a mistake to skip. The bed was comfortable. The service was amazing and one of the servers pretty much made our trip (I forgot her name but I know she speaks Bulgarian). The front desk lady had great recommendations for vegetarian restaurants. I think that hotels of this caliber should always have a Nespresso or something like that in-room. I don’t care for getting ready and dressed to fetch coffee. There was a lot of street noise. Again, I picked a hotel right smack in the middle of town, but I did not sleep the second night. Lots of Americans everywhere. I would stay in a different part of town next time.

The room was clean. Good location, seven or eight hundred meters from the beach, about two kilometers from the Sagrada Familia, and about two kilometers from the sailing pier (the casino is here, the tourist gathering place), one kilometer past is the passenger terminal, and another one or two kilometers past is Monte Hui Qishan. Barcelona is the largest city in Spain. Although the population is only 1.6 million, in this big city, it is impossible to choose a hotel not far away. I especially like the streets of Barcelona, leaving two lanes on both sides, with a wide open space in the middle, and nearby shops setting up tables and drinking at night. Probably because of its large area and small population, it is so suitable for living.
