Beach Hotels in Coles Bay

Once known as the Eco resort this resort has amazing views. They are absolutely great HOWEVER. Access is via a 4km dirt rough road and the vehicle of choice IMO is an SUV it took us over 13 mins each way and the distance to Coles Bay is another 10 from there We took luxury sedans and we were stressed each time we left the resort. It's also quite remote and far from the already small village of Coles Bay The cabins are cute but very small. The shower is smaller than one on a cruise ship. The bathroom is obviously cramped. It's suited for travellers with backpacks and not 2 suitcases like us. The breakfast was ok. Mainly carbs. No eggs no bacon or salmon We found it expensive for what it is If you seek remoteness and isolation it's perfect. They are in the process of extending the resort so the roads are atrocious getting in . Be careful of animals at nightine if driving in

The hotels are located in Fischenna National Park. They are all independent cabins with different room types. Each one corresponds to a parking space. Very suitable for self-driving. Breakfast is semi buffet style. You can order some staple food, bread, coffee juice are all self-service. There is a kitchen in the cabin, and you can make your own food. It's just that there are no supermarkets in the national park and you can't purchase ingredients. The nearest town is about half an hour's drive. Without self-driving, you may not be able to buy things. The oyster farm, which is about 15 minutes away from the park, is recommended. The oysters are very fresh, as well as lobster, prawns, and salmon sashimi. You can buy these and eat them back at the hotel. In addition, there is a fee for entering the park.
