Hotels near Tallebudgera Creek in Currumbin

As an ex local, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Clean, modern, easy check in and good buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed and pillows. I’d definitely recommend and stay again. Been to the bistro many times but not recently, the food was good. Easy app ordering.

I love the villa style accommodation, it suits our family’s needs. To have the kitchen facilities it helps if you just want to eat in for dinner and make breakfast daily. The kids loved the pool and the playground.

After booking a room for 1 night initially, we made a booking for an additional night both via Expedia. The recent reviews on here had me worried as they were much more positive when I made and paid for the booking. Parking - currently free but the hotel provide no detailed instructions on booking etc so I can see why people get frustrated. Thankfully a review on here gave us some tips to make our arrival smooth. I would recommend parking in tower 1 on levels 3, 3M or 4. These floors provide direct lift access to the hotel. Look for gold lifts - these indicate your attached to the hotel. Check in - the girl checking us on (Sara I think) was nice but the hotels booking system didn’t link that there were 2 separate bookings for the same person. The hotel didn’t offer us the lower standard room for the 2 nights so that we didn’t have to move. We opted to pay an additional $60 to stay in the better room for the 2 nights. Pool - is as nice as the photos although some of the cabana cushions are filthy. It is mildly heated and there were no towels, only the ones provided in your room. After house keeping we had 2 taken and only 1 replaced which made it hard to use the pool again. Food - we used Uber eats one night and ate at Harvest Buffet in the ****** on the other. The Harvest Buffet was good. We didn’t eat breakfasts at the hotel. Room - the lounge needs to go, there is no room for it and an additional luggage rack would be more practical as storage is lacking. The room would benefit from a spare pillow and blanket like nearly every other hotel we have stayed in. There are no robes or slippers provided. Gym - the gym was ok however the cable machine was broken, there were no kettlebells or spin bike. Access is via the ****** and in to another lift. Check out - we didn’t bother returning to reception, at 8am we were woken by a drill in the adjoining room/wall to us. Very unpleasant when you have an 11am check out. If we were told about the short maintenance work we wouldn’t have minded but we expect more of a hotel that is part of the Star. Would we stay again? No, it’s not the level we have come to expect as guests of the Star in Sydney.

The hotel is in the heart of Surfers Paradise, many restaurants nearby and just 5 min walking to the beach. The room is spacious and the bathroom is really nice and clean! Also the pool is very nice! The facility of parking the car just paying 25 aud per 24h in and out whenever you want is a plus. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed there for 4 nights, perfect location, good views from the balcony, very spacious, except a bit noisy at night, maybe because we were staying in the lower floor

Whilst it’s not the most up market place on the Gold Coast it’s the best value for couple’s, solo, or families. It’s the perfect location between Rainbow Bay and Greenmount Beach. Staff are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met world wide. Luckily it’s no longer being knocked down for luxury apartment complex so I’ll be able to enjoy many more years there.

So, we booked 18 nights in this 3.5 star resort and the from the photos it looked very reasonable for the price. However, this has been the worst place we have ever stayed in. 1. Room was not serviced for our entire stay, even though the resort policy is longer stays are serviced every 7th day. We have been responsible for laundering the sheets and towels ans buying our own toilet paper. 2. The room wasn't clean to start with, dust on most surfaces including the ceiling and curtains 3. Room in serious state of disrepair and looks like it hasn't seen a paint brush since it was built. 4. We booked a garden view room. Not much of a garden to view and only meters from the drive and carpark. The main contents of the garden are cigarette butts from the filthy pig living in the room above 5. We tried sitting on the patio for breakfast, however this was interrupted by ash and cigarette butts raining down from above. 6. The room has no personality, prison cells we've seen in movies look more appealing. 7. Mattress on the bed is stuffed and should have been replaced years ago. I definitely will never recommend this place as it seems the owners are more interested in collecting the money than making sure what they're offering is worth it

I stayed here about 2 weeks in early Jan. I got a bed next to a balcony in a 6 beds room which gave me little extra privacy. The room was cleaned fine throughout my stay. The bed was not large but comfortable with a nice mattress, light and power sockets. There is a bathroom for a toilet and a shower (not separated) for the room. So, I had to share it with 5 others when all beds were filled. Common area at the basement was pretty good for having nice furnitures. The kitchen and dining areas were cozy and spacious. You need $1 or $2 coins for laundry and dryer ($3 each). If you struggle to prepare coins, apparently there is a self-service laundry and cash dispenser nearby (I didn't try it though). Definitely confusing to find the reception for check-in. You need to walk through between The Island and a teppanyaki restaurant on Surfers Paradise Blvd.

Very convenient place to stay when on the coast. Not far to beaches but in a nice quiet location and with nice rooms. We only had a basic room as this is all we wanted. Staff very friendly. close to train station and football stadium and close to shops and restaurants.
