**Cleanliness**: The entire room, including the floor, is all white, which demands very high standards of cleanliness. However, they've done a really good job, even my germaphobic self approves.
**Ambiance**: It's a designer hotel, and both the exterior and the rooftop design are quite impressive. The rooftop view, in particular, is fantastic. You can even watch fish lanterns there at night. It's a bit of a shame though, as part of the rooftop seemed to be undergoing waterproofing and wasn't accessible.
**Service**: The front desk lady was very thoughtful and recommended a sightseeing route that was both scenic and less crowded. The butler also helped with our luggage, thumbs up! 👍
**Dali Ancient City (West Gate) Shuttle Service**: The shuttle service to the Ancient City is a great touch. All the nearby attractions are very close, and it's also convenient to get a taxi for slightly further places!
The cats at the hotel are just too adorable! 😍 I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Dali!

This is such a fantastic experience staying here.
What is so impressive is the SERVICE and the actual room facilities. The staff is soooooooo friendly and helpful - he basically helped me plan my itinerary every day because I came with zero plans and only wanted to relax. He helped me to plan my route and book a car for day use. And the driver is amazing too - he brought me to try 扎染 tie dye even when I didn’t know anything about it. He made sure I went to a local experience instead of expensive tourist trap. And he’s great at taking photos too!
Back to the staff. He would understand what I’m interested in and then give suggestions that I’ll like. Amazing. And there is even a whole list of things to watch out for when visiting all the tourists attractions. When you arrive, they’ll also message you all the places to eat. There is also a convenience store right downstairs if you want to buy anything. They also gives you instructions if you want food delivery. So detailed!!
And they are so proud of the fact that their rooms are exactly what it looked like on the app. So clean so new so amazing. Look at that view! You wake up to the view of the vast sea. And there is a giant bath tub for you to experience soaking in bubble bath (also given) at the same time.
The toilets are always the make or break when travelling. And the toilets are amazing again. AUTOMATIC flush and the seat cover automatically opens and close. My goodness. And the shower has different outlets if you want some form of water acupuncture 🤣 very modern. And they even have a towel dryer/heater!!! You can dry anything small and it’ll be dry and crisp.
Normally hotel pillows give me headaches. But not here! They have the latex foam pillow and also the normal fluffy pillows. It is so suitable and comfortable for me who is accustomed to memory foam pillows. How can accommodation get so detailed and excellent?
Breakfast is another wonderful experience. You go the dining area and an aunty cooks porridge or noodles or meat buns or corn or sweet potatoes and serve them to you. There is even soya bean drink and fritters and lots of sauces and seasonings and small bites. And there is unlimited bottled beverages like honey jasmine tea or oolong tea and fruits and coffee. How do they even make a profit?
And there is even a place to rest and relax and drink tea if you come with friends. I can’t wait to come back here with more friends and family and let me experience what I enjoyed so much here. Thank you to the staff and to the boss! 😁😍

MM278948****The B&B owner was very welcoming and helped me with my luggage. They also recommended places to eat and things to do. You can tell a lot of thought went into the room facilities, and the cleanliness was excellent. The B&B is located inside Erhai Park, which has a playground and animals to see, so the kids had a great time. There's even a swing at the B&B that the kids didn't want to leave! 😂 The owner was really nice; they recommended we visit Wenbi Village and even suggested accommodation there since we hadn't decided on our plans for the next few days. They told us we could go check out the place first before deciding. Overall, it's highly recommended!

LLixiaobaoI was initially concerned that the Xiaomei King Room, which lacked air conditioning, would be hot and small. However, it was nothing of the sort – it was absolutely stunning, and the service was impeccable! My elderly companion did mention that the noise from duvets being washed at night made it difficult for her to fall asleep. Despite this, overall, we were very pleased. I had planned to visit the wetland park for the sunset, but a staff member advised there was no need, as we could enjoy the view directly from their property! They even provided a complimentary farewell gift upon our departure!

The rooms are incredibly cozy and clean, and each even has a small table and chairs for relaxing and soaking up the sun – a really thoughtful touch. From check-in to check-out, every day here was filled with warm, attentive care. The owner is a veteran, and when he was around, he'd often offer to drive me to the nearby bus station, which was super considerate. The common areas are designed with such attention to detail; every corner is a photo opportunity. I highly recommend this guesthouse!

EEnnaService was fantastic, the host was superb! Place was clean, convenient, and included all that one could need on a vacation. In the heart of Ancient Dali, this was perfect for food, entertainment, and shopping. It is also minutes away from the famous Cangshan mountain, and the host is very considerate in assisting you with any arrangement you'd like, including cabs for railway and airport transportation.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the room matched exactly the photos that are on the site. Very often this is not the case. So, all in all it was a very pleasant experience at this location.
Would definitely stay again and certainly would recommend this to anyone travelling to Dali. As a single female, I found this place to be very safe...especially with a considerate host, who looks out for you!

XXiaoyang121Very good, very cost-effective, the hotel is located on the Erhai Sea, close to the ecological corridor, a few minutes walk to the Erhai Sea, surrounded by natural landscapes such as redwood forests, goose* stone beaches, not only from the dust, but also suitable for cycling, walking and viewing. It is also close to the ancient city, Longqi Wharf and other places, and the transportation is convenient. The room is spacious and bright, the sound insulation effect is good, the view is wide, and the room can see the view of the Bohai Corridor. Suitable for daze and taking pictures. The hotel owner and warm and friendly, there is a parking lot shuttle bus pick-up service, providing itinerary planning, attraction recommendations and car rental and other intimate help. The homestay is quiet in the middle of noisy, the surrounding environment is quiet, suitable for like to relax and enjoy nature. There is not a lot of traffic around, and the noise of excessive commercialization is avoided. All in all, it was a great experience.

The entire house is spotless, creating a calm and relaxing feeling the moment you step through the door. They also provide a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils you need if you feel like cooking. The neighbourhood itself is incredibly instagrammable, with picture-worthy corners everywhere you turn. On top of that, the host was extremely helpful, answering all our questions quickly and making everything smooth and easy. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dali.

ZZhuozhuangchengzhangdeguziThe room was as excellent as ever. Having just come from a fantastic stay at Anyu Hotel in Lijiang, I had no hesitation in choosing Anyu again for my visit to Dali. Dali Anyu is nestled within the ancient city, offering convenient access to transportation. The entire hotel beautifully captures the essence of Dali, providing a serene, welcoming, and high-end atmosphere. Though not large, this charming three-story wooden hotel exudes a strong retro and ethnic vibe. Staying here felt incredibly peaceful, immediately shielding us from the ancient city's hustle and bustle.
The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Upon my arrival, I initially had trouble finding the entrance, but a staff member promptly came out to greet me, helped carry my luggage directly to the room, and even presented a lovely welcome tea ceremony. Every member of the Anyu team, from the dedicated butler to the general service staff, greeted us with warm smiles and soft-spoken kindness. Their hospitality made us feel truly cherished, as if we were guests in our own home.
Inside the room, the amenities had a charming retro design, complemented by high-end, incredibly comfortable bedding that invited immediate sleep. The toiletries were top-notch, alongside a Dyson hairdryer, premium mineral water, and an exquisite laundry service. In the evenings, they thoughtfully provided Tremella soup, known for its calming properties. Every detail contributed to a truly warm and cozy stay. A charming, distinctive touch was the room key – a long-handled, retro-style key. Room cleanliness was impeccable, far surpassing similar hotels; even the smallest crevices in the bathroom were spotless.
Another highlight was the afternoon tea and breakfast. They were truly bespoke, freshly prepared upon order – absolutely no pre-made dishes or buffet lines. Everything was served individually, featuring fresh, unique, high-quality, hygienic, and delicious ingredients. I was even delighted to find sea cucumber on the menu! Upon departure, all the Anyu staff came out to bid me a warm farewell – a truly wonderful and memorable gesture. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I stayed at the Jupiter Castle Hotel once before, right after it opened, and it left a deep impression. So I returned to Wenbi Village. Compared to a few years ago, Wenbi Village's commercial offerings are much more developed, and this hotel's service is even more meticulous. The overall aesthetic is perfect for photos. My room booking included complimentary pick-up service from Dali Airport, taking me directly to the hotel. The butler kept in touch throughout my stay. That very evening, I saw a 'burning cloud' sunset, which hadn't appeared for many days. The next morning, I witnessed the rare sight of the sun illuminating Cangshan Mountain. Wenbi Village is situated at an elevation that offers a panoramic view of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, arguably one of the best locations. Although it's been open for three or four years, the hotel is very well-maintained. The mini-fridge was stocked with many complimentary items, including face masks, jellies, and drinks, all free to enjoy. The hygiene was impeccable, and the overall environment was fantastic. Just staying in the room, curled up on the sofa, with the warm sunlight streaming in and bathing me, instantly made all the stress and exhaustion from work disappear. MM24576****Highly recommended! This B&B was a delightful surprise, full of thoughtful design. As soon as we arrived, the owner and the lovely lady at the front desk greeted us warmly and politely, making us feel right at home, like visiting a friend's place. You can really tell they put their heart into running this place, from the service, to the coffee bar setup at the front desk, the B&B's decor, and even the bedding and amenities in the rooms. Both the rooms and common areas were spotlessly clean.
Three of us girls spontaneously decided to rent a sports car for a self-drive around Erhai Lake and asked the owner for help. To our surprise, the owner was incredibly enthusiastic and trustworthy; he helped us solve the big problem of renting a car. The whole car rental process went very smoothly, and our experience was fantastic – it felt like we were being looked after by a local, haha. This is truly a hidden gem of a B&B, with a gem of an owner. Next time I'm in Dali, I will definitely stay here again.
P.S. The B&B's location is great; it's quiet, and parking is seamless, so no need to worry about finding a spot.
