It's my top choice for any trip! The Italian aesthetic is fully embraced; the room is clean and comfortable, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. The courtyard common area is cozy and relaxing. The overall living experience was fantastic, definitely worth returning for! The location here is excellent. It's right by the Erhai Gate, and nearby there are snack shops, convenience stores, dining options, and even makeup services. It's also very close to Erhai Gate, with many car rental options available. It’s a great base for exploring!"

The inn itself has a scenic rooftop tea room. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the Wi-Fi is fast. There's also a free self-service laundry room. The owner is very welcoming and provides great tips for sightseeing and dining in the ancient city. It’s a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, offering excellent value for money. Definitely my top choice when visiting Dali!"

Since it's a scenic spot, it can get a bit noisy from 8 AM to 9 PM due to tourists, but other than that, there are no drawbacks. Highly recommended!"

I stayed in a large terrace room for three days and a double bed balcony room for one day. All very nice. A family of three can live in a large terrace where the children can play, and two people can live in a balcony room, where they can watch the sea while lying on the bed. Very comfortable. It’s good to check in and take photos on the rooftop."

They also offered us local Mooncake as it was Mid-Autumn Festival during our stay. They provides many freebies, eg: earplug, steam eye mask etc. our booking also comes with complimentary pick up service from Dali station which is very handy. Cons - There isn't any hanger in the bathroom, and no door at the main entrance to bathroom area. So it may be awkward if you travelling with friends."

The heated pool had children's floats available, and the service was thoughtful, even providing kids' toiletries. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options. It's very close to the Erhai Lake Greenway, making it stress-free and comfortable for family travel. Getting to and from the ancient city was convenient, and our whole family was very satisfied."

"Initially, I was hesitant about staying inside the ancient city, but then I thought about how convenient it would be for dining and shopping. So, I ultimately chose Honglongjing, which seemed like a fairly large hotel. The room itself was really spacious, and the twin-bed room even came with a bathtub, which was a pleasant surprise. We spent New Year's Eve here, and watching fireworks and the sunrise from the rooftop garden was a truly special experience – it was the most lively New Year's I've ever had. The breakfast was also excellent, with both Chinese and Western options that my child loved. It's quite rare to find such a tranquil spot amidst the bustling ancient city. It would have been even better if the toilet was a smart one. One minor drawback of being in the ancient city is that you have to walk outside to catch a taxi, but thankfully, it wasn't too far. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year and very busy, one day our room wasn't properly cleaned, and they just hastily replaced some towels and disposables. I would recommend this place to friends next time, and perhaps the experience would be even better during the off-peak season."

"This guesthouse is right next to Dali Old Town, so stepping out means instant access to all sorts of snacks and shops. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the old town and trying local delicacies. The overall design of the guesthouse is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly matches my aesthetic! It's a super healing Wabi-sabi style with Bai ethnic courtyard features, and you can get great photos anywhere without needing to search for specific spots. The room has a very high-quality feel, and the bedding is so soft and incredibly comfortable to lie on. The staff are all incredibly gentle and attentive, helping with luggage and promptly resolving any issues, which made everything so stress-free. For breakfast, there's freshly made Dali rice noodles, and a variety of Chinese and Western simple meals, all with fresh ingredients. Overall, my stay was genuinely super comfortable~"

I originally thought there would be a lot of mosquitoes and insects since it's at the foot of the mountain, but there weren't any. The room hygiene was also very thorough. Service: A butler proactively added me on WeChat and asked if I needed any help. During breakfast, the staff were also very enthusiastic and friendly, especially towards children."
