Dali City Hotels with Balcony

This stay is the best ever. Not only is the guesthouse clean and beautifully located right across from Erhai Lake. But what impressed me most was the hospitality and service—especially from Joy. From picking us up at the train station, to helping us arrange an EV bike rental (even though we eventually decided not to), to personally taking us to dinner and recommending dishes, trusting us with her dog Hamburg, and specially arranging for us to be dropped off at the station when we left even though she was busy with work. Joy made sure everything was well taken care of. She is a true asset to the guesthouse: friendly, sincere in her kind gestures without expecting anything in return, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. What we admire most is that Joy treats her dog as a family member. She is truly a person filled with loving kindness and will always be blessed for this. The part we appreciated most was getting to spend quality time with her dog, Hamburg, who brought us so much happiness and filled our days with joy. Hamburg is a loving dog with a heart of gold. Anyone especially dog lovers would truly fall in love with him. Together, Joy and Hamburg make the best combination. They brought smiles and joy to us. They are the real assets of the place. We hope they will be greatly rewarded. Thank you, Joy, for giving us the best souvenir in China—Hamburg's most loved toy. This is the best gift ever! And thank you for keeping in touch with us whenever you can, including sharing updates on Hamburg. It means a lot to us.😊 Great hospitality was also shown by others on the team. Miki served us breakfast every morning with a smile and was always at the reception keeping Hamburg company. She not only looks after him but also make sure he is in good hands, safe and happily running about. Miki carried Hamburg to bid us farewell. She also updated us on Hamburg's progress daily, which we greatly appreciated. knowing that he is happy made us happy.👍 Most importantly, the owner, Krystina, made us feel at home and welcomed. She has a warm personality, is friendly, and treats her staff like family. She is also in the midst of learning English for self-improvement. She has the willingness to learn and the kind of down-to-earth attitude that most hotel owners don't. We felt comfortable being with her, and she even hosted a farewell dinner for us. What we love most is that she is an animal lover and even included Hamburg in the dinner. She has a heart full of compassion. We had a great time together, and the night ended with smiles and laughter. We started as strangers but ended as friends.🙂 We were reluctant to leave after three nights, and if given the chance, we would love to extend our stay to a week in the future. This place is truly a gem, thanks to the wonderful management and the people behind it. We will surely recommend friends to your guesthouse—it is a gem hidden in Dali. The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

This stay is the best. The owner is a great human, from greeting us to taking care of anything you need to keep providing us with plenty of drinking water, all the recommendations you need he has got it all, even with the language barrier, he tried his best to communicate which really counts as efforts and how a place makes you feel. The room we stayed in had a great view of Cangshan Mountain, the balcony is just a cherry on top. You can get a full 360° view from the rooftop with amazing sunrise views. The location is very convenient. You can walk to all the good stops or take an electric vehicle from the stay itself as they have it available if you need it. There’s washing machine on the rooftop incase you need to do the laundry. Overall we had a really comfortable time here, we will definitely come back here. 10/10 recommended.

We had a great stay at Country Inn by Radisson in Dali and would happily stay here again. It offers excellent value for money, very friendly service, and clean, comfortable rooms in a convenient location. Location: The hotel is around a 10-minute Didi ride from Dali Ancient City, the Three Pagodas, and the Old Tea Horse Trail and 15min ride to Longkan Pier, making it easy to explore the main attractions on the West side. There are also plenty of convenient shared rental scooters available outside each morning, and taxis arrive quickly. Room & Cleanliness: Before arriving, we requested a non-smoking room. Our original room was still undergoing a smoke removal treatment, so the staff kindly upgraded us to one of their ”Pure Stay” rooms on the second floor. It was also much quieter, which was appreciated as I needed to work during our stay. The room was clean, spacious, had no smoke smell at all and even had an air purifying system. The hotel feels very new and is well maintained all lights and curtains in the room can be controlled with smart panels. The bed was soft and comfortable, with thick, good-quality duvets that made for a great night's sleep. The air conditioning was excellent and a welcome relief from the summer heat, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom was equally clean, with an automatic flushing toilet featuring a built-in UV sanitiser as part of the Pure Stay room. The shower had excellent water pressure, and as someone with very long, thick hair, I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the shampoo and conditioners. Service The service was one of the highlights of our stay. The front desk staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and eager to help. A special thank you to the two gentlemen at reception who went above and beyond to communicate with us, organise the room upgrade, and even print several work documents for me free of charge. We were also welcomed with a small gift at check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. Facilities: The hotel has a lovely garden with several attractive spots for holiday photos. There is a convenient 24-hour tea and coffee station in the lobby, as well as a large power bank rental station before heading out for the day. The only small suggestion would be to also provide coffee sachets in the guest rooms for added convenience. The complimentary WiFi is an open network, which is a bit risky. It was a little slow for heavier work tasks but was perfectly adequate for normal browsing and everyday use. Breakfast: Breakfast was the only area that did not quite match the rest of our experience. There was a reasonable selection, but we found it fairly basic, particularly for international travellers, and chose to have breakfast elsewhere on our second morning. Overall: This hotel offers excellent value, outstanding cleanliness, genuinely helpful staff, and a convenient location for exploring Dali. If you are looking for a comfortable, modern hotel with friendly service, I would happily recommend staying here.

An absolutely wonderful hotel! It's located right in the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient to walk to all the attractions. Yet, it's a rare find that manages to be peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle; you can't hear any street noise once you're inside. The facilities are complete, and the interior design is elegant and serene, making you naturally want to slow down, enjoy a cup of tea, and read a book. The service is gentle and thoughtful; the butlers were very responsive to our requests. They arranged our transfers and private tours perfectly. They also carefully confirmed meal reminders, housekeeping, and even bedtime desserts with us every day. And the choices they offered were abundant! From the daily breakfast dishes to everyday beverages and the brands of toiletries, there were so many high-quality options, making each day an exciting and interesting experience. Looking forward to coming back!

The B&B's location is fantastic; you can drive right up to the entrance, and getting around is super convenient. It's just a short walk west to the old town's core, but the soundproofing is excellent, so it truly offers a peaceful retreat despite being in a lively area. The owner has great taste and an eye for aesthetics. The courtyard is spotless, and they offer a breakfast set. Guests are also very considerate. For this location and price, it's definitely a good deal. Highly recommended! However, in summer, you do need to be mindful of humidity and mosquitoes. But the owner provided mosquito repellent and an electric mosquito swatter, and surprisingly, we had no issues at all at night. We even turned mosquito hunting into a fun game, which my kid absolutely loved!

This hotel perfectly met our expectations! The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the surrounding area is lively with easy access to taxis and restaurants. It's also close to the pedestrian street, yet the hotel itself remains wonderfully quiet. The owner is incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. They have a washing machine but no dryer, so if you plan on doing laundry, I'd recommend bringing quick-drying clothes as they'll be dry overnight. It rained every day during our stay, and cotton items would probably take two days to dry. We stayed for five nights with our child, and our little one never got bored, often strolling in the courtyard or playing with the cats. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Dali.

Our stay in Dali was absolutely fantastic! I have to give Moguwu B&B a huge full score 💯. First off, the location is superb – right outside Dali Old Town, making it super convenient for sightseeing and finding food. We didn't have to worry about transportation at all. Secondly, the B&B's design is aesthetically pleasing, and the overall environment is clean and tidy, giving off a very comfortable and relaxing vibe. The room amenities are also very thoughtful, coming with a washing machine and dryer, which is incredibly practical and convenient for travelers like us! What surprised me the most was the self-service breakfast; the variety was extensive, and the food tasted great, helping us start each day feeling energized. Lastly, I must commend the owners – they are incredibly friendly and warm, providing us with many useful travel tips. It felt just like coming home. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali; it's definitely great value for money!

I'll cover prices, floor choices, hidden costs, and food and drink, so first-timers can just copy this plan! 💰 Room Prices & Floor Pitfalls ▪️ Standard Rooms: 400-600 RMB/night No underwater view, great value for money if you just need a place to stay. ▪️ Underwater View Rooms: 1600-1900 RMB/night Prices vary by floor, and here’s the key thing to avoid! ❌ Definitely don’t choose the 1st floor! The floor is too low, the window is quite small, you can only see corals and small bottom-dwelling fish. Photos turn out very ordinary, and the experience is poor. ✅ Go for the 2nd floor first! Best value for money overall! The price is moderate, the viewing window is super large, and the view is expansive. You’ll get great photos effortlessly. Call the front desk in advance to reserve a room with a good view. We stayed in room 8220, and the view was quite good. ⭕ The 3rd floor is slightly more expensive. The view isn't significantly different from the 2nd floor. If you're looking for value, just go for the second floor. ⚠️ Charged Activities The mermaid and golden storm performances, which used to be free, are now all charged! 200 RMB per show. Other self-funded interactive activities: ▫️ Touching dolphins for a photo: 100 RMB ▫️ Feeding seals: 50 RMB ▫️ Feeding penguins: 100 RMB ✅ Perks Worth Praising Booking a room includes a complimentary diving experience 🤿. There are no hidden secondary charges, which is really thoughtful! 🍜 Food and Drink ▫️ The mini-bar in the room has a rich variety of snacks and drinks, all free of charge. ▫️ There are very few restaurants around the hotel. If you want a proper meal, you'll need to take a taxi for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can order takeout or dine at the hotel. ▫️ The hotel’s own breakfast is of good quality, and the à la carte dishes in the restaurant are also very reasonably priced. (It’s advisable to order takeout in advance, as delivery times can be quite long.) Many people think almost 2000 RMB for one night is expensive. But seeing the kids pressed against the window, watching the underwater world with eyes full of surprise and wonder ✨, makes all the expenses feel super worth it! A true fairy-tale experience exclusively for children! 👧🏻

Decided to come to Dali last minute. I was worried the hotel photos might be misleading, so I asked the butler to show me two rooms first. The B&B very thoughtfully upgraded our room. I have to commend the butlers for their excellent service; they were incredibly attentive and patient throughout our stay, not letting us carry a single piece of luggage. The B&B also offers a free professional photo service, and my mom had a blast taking pictures. If you're looking for great photos, this is the place to be! Watching the sunset while feeling the sea breeze is truly the best way to slowly, leisurely waste time.
