Dali City Hotels with Balcony

The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.

This stay is the best. The owner is a great human, from greeting us to taking care of anything you need to keep providing us with plenty of drinking water, all the recommendations you need he has got it all, even with the language barrier, he tried his best to communicate which really counts as efforts and how a place makes you feel. The room we stayed in had a great view of Cangshan Mountain, the balcony is just a cherry on top. You can get a full 360° view from the rooftop with amazing sunrise views. The location is very convenient. You can walk to all the good stops or take an electric vehicle from the stay itself as they have it available if you need it. There’s washing machine on the rooftop incase you need to do the laundry. Overall we had a really comfortable time here, we will definitely come back here. 10/10 recommended.

This stay is the best ever. Not only is the guesthouse clean and beautifully located right across from Erhai Lake. But what impressed me most was the hospitality and service—especially from Joy. From picking us up at the train station, to helping us arrange an EV bike rental (even though we eventually decided not to), to personally taking us to dinner and recommending dishes, trusting us with her dog Hamburg, and specially arranging for us to be dropped off at the station when we left even though she was busy with work. Joy made sure everything was well taken care of. She is a true asset to the guesthouse: friendly, sincere in her kind gestures without expecting anything in return, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. What we admire most is that Joy treats her dog as a family member. She is truly a person filled with loving kindness and will always be blessed for this. The part we appreciated most was getting to spend quality time with her dog, Hamburg, who brought us so much happiness and filled our days with joy. Hamburg is a loving dog with a heart of gold. Anyone especially dog lovers would truly fall in love with him. Together, Joy and Hamburg make the best combination. They brought smiles and joy to us. They are the real assets of the place. We hope they will be greatly rewarded. Thank you, Joy, for giving us the best souvenir in China—Hamburg's most loved toy. This is the best gift ever! And thank you for keeping in touch with us whenever you can, including sharing updates on Hamburg. It means a lot to us.😊 Great hospitality was also shown by others on the team. Miki served us breakfast every morning with a smile and was always at the reception keeping Hamburg company. She not only looks after him but also make sure he is in good hands, safe and happily running about. Miki carried Hamburg to bid us farewell. She also updated us on Hamburg's progress daily, which we greatly appreciated. knowing that he is happy made us happy.👍 Most importantly, the owner, Krystina, made us feel at home and welcomed. She has a warm personality, is friendly, and treats her staff like family. She is also in the midst of learning English for self-improvement. She has the willingness to learn and the kind of down-to-earth attitude that most hotel owners don't. We felt comfortable being with her, and she even hosted a farewell dinner for us. What we love most is that she is an animal lover and even included Hamburg in the dinner. She has a heart full of compassion. We had a great time together, and the night ended with smiles and laughter. We started as strangers but ended as friends.🙂 We were reluctant to leave after three nights, and if given the chance, we would love to extend our stay to a week in the future. This place is truly a gem, thanks to the wonderful management and the people behind it. We will surely recommend friends to your guesthouse—it is a gem hidden in Dali. Let's start with the positives: 1. The snacks at the front desk were a thoughtful touch. I arrived late and hadn't eaten, so the biscuits and fruit were much appreciated. 2. The hotel's location is decent. You can walk to the old town, though you have to cross a busy main road where cars don't seem to yield to pedestrians, which can be a bit intimidating. 3. I booked a loft room, which was really nice. The view was good, facing the courtyard, and it was incredibly quiet. There's a maternity center next door, and honestly, this place would be perfect for a postnatal retreat. I slept so well here at night; there wasn't a single sound. 4. Parking was convenient, right in front of the entrance, which is great if you're driving. If we had driven into the old town area, it would have been a real headache. Glad we didn't book a B&B inside the old town itself. Now for areas that could be improved: Firstly, the breakfast was quite simple and the taste was just average. However, the dining environment was nice, with outdoor seating available. Secondly, the laundry room couldn't be used after 10 PM. Luckily, we were staying for two nights, so we managed to do our laundry on the second day. We went out, and the front desk even helped put away our clothes.

An absolutely wonderful hotel! It's located right in the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient to walk to all the attractions. Yet, it's a rare find that manages to be peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle; you can't hear any street noise once you're inside. The facilities are complete, and the interior design is elegant and serene, making you naturally want to slow down, enjoy a cup of tea, and read a book. The service is gentle and thoughtful; the butlers were very responsive to our requests. They arranged our transfers and private tours perfectly. They also carefully confirmed meal reminders, housekeeping, and even bedtime desserts with us every day. And the choices they offered were abundant! From the daily breakfast dishes to everyday beverages and the brands of toiletries, there were so many high-quality options, making each day an exciting and interesting experience. Looking forward to coming back!

This absolutely deserves a full score for a sea-view guesthouse! The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. You can watch the sunrise from your bed and see the sunset paint the lake. The 270-degree unobstructed view totally exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and all the bathroom amenities were provided. Both the guesthouse's terrace and courtyard are perfect for photos, and it's just a few steps out to the Erhai Ecological Corridor, which is super convenient for walks or cycling. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, taking care of pickup and breakfast with great attention to detail. This was the most satisfying stay I've had in Dali. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Erhai Lake. Highly recommended!

The B&B's location is fantastic; you can drive right up to the entrance, and getting around is super convenient. It's just a short walk west to the old town's core, but the soundproofing is excellent, so it truly offers a peaceful retreat despite being in a lively area. The owner has great taste and an eye for aesthetics. The courtyard is spotless, and they offer a breakfast set. Guests are also very considerate. For this location and price, it's definitely a good deal. Highly recommended! However, in summer, you do need to be mindful of humidity and mosquitoes. But the owner provided mosquito repellent and an electric mosquito swatter, and surprisingly, we had no issues at all at night. We even turned mosquito hunting into a fun game, which my kid absolutely loved!

Our 'butler service' means you get a dedicated butler providing one-on-one service from the moment you check in. They'll contact you in advance to confirm your arrival time, arrange shuttle pick-up, and send friendly reminders about breakfast times and other important notes via group chat. Facilities: The hairdryer's airflow is really weak, not even as strong as the wind off Erhai Lake! The bedside lamp isn't working, but everything else is okay. Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and no strange smells – pretty good. Environment: The space is large and bright. My only complaint is the view from the window isn't great. Service: The service is excellent; anything we needed was delivered to the room very quickly, and the breakfast tasted good. Honestly, the view from the guest room window is quite disappointing.

By chance, I booked a stay at the Meishan Inn in Dali Ancient City and ended up staying for 4 days. The entire trip was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The Bai minority-style courtyard is truly charming and unique. The inn manager was attentive and thoughtful, and the facilities were well-equipped. The room was clean and tidy, and the inn's breakfast was absolutely delicious. The courtyard boasts beautiful flowers and scenery, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling surroundings, yet its excellent location makes getting around very convenient.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a family of 3 adults and 1 child. We paid approximately SGD600 extra to upgrade to the 2-Bedroom Family Suite. While the extra space was appreciated, we felt the upgrade did not provide good value for the additional cost. Pros * The suite is spacious and comfortable, with two separate bedrooms. * It provides good privacy for family members or caregivers looking after a child. * The hotel staff were responsive to my messages via Trip.com and accommodated my requests whenever possible. Cons 1. Family Suites are only located on Level 1. Although advertised as an ocean-view room, the view is much more limited compared to rooms on the higher floors. 2. Limited mermaid show experience from Level 1. Even if you pay for the mermaid interaction, the mermaids do not swim down to Level 1, making it difficult to enjoy the experience from the suite. 3. The Level 1 aquarium view mainly features large marine animals such as sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and large fish. Guests who prefer colourful reef fish may find the higher floors more enjoyable. 4. The upgrade does not include hotel privileges. After paying for the Family Suite upgrade, we were surprised that benefits such as complimentary Ocean World admission were no longer included. We had to purchase the entrance tickets separately. 5. Housekeeping needs improvement. After the second day’s housekeeping service, the bathrobes were left on the TV console instead of being neatly arranged, and the coffee cup in the coffee machine had not been cleaned. 6. Strong cigarette smell in the toilet. Although the room was designated as non-smoking, the bathroom had a cigarette smell throughout our stay. 7. Insufficient towels. Our booking was for 4 guests, but housekeeping consistently provided only 2 bath towels. We had to request additional towels on both days. 8. The bathroom layout is not ideal for a family. Although the suite has 2 toilets, there is only 1 shower area, which can be inconvenient when multiple people are getting ready at the same time. 9. The corridor lighting system is confusing and inconvenient. When we left the room, it was normal for the corridor lights to switch off. However, when we returned, the motion sensor did not activate the lights. Pressing the regular light switch also did not work—we had to press the “Meeting” button to turn the corridor lights on. As a result, the corridor was often completely dark at night, and we ended up hanging our own portable light near the shoe rack for better visibility. Overall The room itself is spacious and suitable for families. However, considering the significant additional cost of the upgrade, we expected better housekeeping standards, a smoke-free environment, and the same guest benefits offered with other room categories. Unless you specifically need the extra bedroom space, the standard ocean-view rooms on the higher floors may offer better value for money.
