Dali City Hostels

A very comfortable guesthouse. The owners were very welcoming; the owner was lovely, had a story to tell, and was very talkative. The whole family was very friendly and helpful, even helping with our luggage – thank you so much!! Actually, I wasn't really into the food in Dali this time, and was a little disappointed, but the owner recommended some nearby ”non-trendy” restaurants: Blueberry Fish and Ganggang Rice Noodles. They were within walking distance, delicious, and in a great location – right next to the March Street Market, and there's also a Lotus Root Shop nearby, which is great for browsing. It's also very convenient to walk to the Old Town. And!! Peach the dog is so cute! A chubby little dog, so adorable and easy to pet. He even got up later than us this morning, haha! Hope to see him again sometime!

The large dog at the front desk was adorable, and the landlady was very friendly, sharing a map of authentic local restaurants. I stayed in a double room, which was a bit small. I hope they can replace the curtains/bed curtains with blackout ones. The location is quite convenient; Didi (ride-hailing service) can get you to the door. There's a communal area on the balcony for drying clothes.

This hostel is really fun! You can cook and share meals with other guests, and the volunteer staff are super interesting. There's a dedicated game room for playing Werewolf, mahjong, and they even have a projector. Sometimes at night, people play music, so you can sing along and chat.

Enjoy my stay here. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is big and inside the room. The atmosphere of the hostel is nice. And it is near 大理古城. I can also store my luggage there when I checked out. Next time i will go back to Dali if I have chance, 洱海 really beautiful but it is a pity the weather when I stayed there is raining all the time.

The staff are friendly and the location isn't far from Dali Ancient City. It's a wonderful place where guests can all gather together to eat and chat. If you're traveling alone or enjoy socializing and conversing with people, this hotel is perfect. In the evenings, there's true communication over a bonfire and beer. Everyone seems happy and full of energy. Thanks to them, I'm leaving with a lot of good vibes. I had planned to stay for two nights, but I finished sightseeing faster than expected and unfortunately changed accommodations to see the eastern side of Erhai Lake. If I come to Dali again, I definitely want to stay here once more.

Besides my favorite 'Li Li Wan Xiang' hostel, this is my second favorite! They have two adorable cats, the environment is quiet and spotless, and you can rent a car, which makes getting around super convenient. I stayed two nights in a row and genuinely didn't want to leave!

What really caught my eye about this hotel was the desk; it felt so simple and understated. Since this was a spontaneous road trip, we just picked a hotel randomly, but I was pleasantly surprised! When we checked out, they even reminded us not to forget anything. Plus, during our stay, they shared some great hidden photo spots with us.

There are tons of food stalls nearby, and a whole street outside is lined with car rental shops. The first one on the left after exiting is the cheapest, with no mandatory insurance fees. Earning money isn't easy, so I just wanted to travel on a budget. This place was the cheapest online, so the value is pretty good. Facilities: Hot water 👌 No air conditioning, but I guess it's not really necessary. Cleanliness: Clean, because there aren't many people staying here, and they're all very clean. Environment: Cozy and comfortable. Service: Good service; they even helped with my luggage. The bedding was clean, and the comforter felt very sturdy.

The usual hostel is undergoing renovations at the moment, so the actual accommodation is around the corner. I was quite lost until I texted the 'late entrance' phone number by chance and the owners father found me. There is no bar, pool table or restaurant currently accessible but I'm sure it will be great when it reopens. The room was lovely but very cold with a big gap under the door and a hole the size of a postcard in the bathroom. I think a more updated profile to reflect current amenities would be beneficial.

The environment is good and the location is easy to find. It is close to the ancient city. There is also a washing machine and a place to dry clothes. It is more suitable for long-term stay
