This guesthouse offers a fantastic experience! As soon as you step through the main gate, you're greeted by a charming garden with beautiful flowers and plants. Plus, there are 10 cats and 2 dogs to play with. The room itself is spacious and tidy, and they've added some really thoughtful touches like a foot bath tub, a clothes dryer, complimentary fruit and snacks, and a direct drinking water dispenser 👍. There's also a laundry room on the rooftop (with both a washer and dryer) and a drying area. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Dali! [Awesome]

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The front desk team provided incredibly warm and thoughtful service, making us feel like family. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We also received complimentary fruit upon arrival, a sweet treat at night, and a farewell gift when we left. The sea view room offered breathtaking views, with Erhai Lake right outside our window. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with smart features. The hotel's location is super convenient, right on the ecological corridor, perfect for snapping beautiful photos. It's also very quiet at night, making it an excellent choice for relaxing and unwinding on the west side of Dali. I've already secretly recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely choose Tingyun again next time I'm here. It truly deserves a five-star recommendation!

We stayed with Sister An at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn for 4 nights. Her comfortable inn offered a fantastic mix of home and resort, providing a relaxing retreat after the busyness and urbanity of Kunming. Our 6-year-old daughter absolutely loved the property. The fish in the central pool, the cozy coffee shop lobby, the swinging pavilion across the glass bridge, and the upstairs mountain view deck kept her thoroughly entertained. Sister An’s inn was just perfect. Every morning started with a wonderful breakfast of eggs, tea eggs, free-flow coffee and tea, a variety of buns, millet porridge, and pickles. Furthermore, Sister An provided timely advice on transport, sightseeing, and local holidays. From the moment we booked a few days before our arrival, Sister An maintained constant communication via WeChat and a translation app to coordinate our arrival time. She even sent a complimentary driver to pick us up at the train station, which sat about a 30-minute drive from the hotel's central location in Dali Old Town. She also responded within minutes whenever we had a question throughout our stay. She is the true gem of this hotel. Some highlights of our stay included: The Public Areas: Excellent spaces, including the upstairs view decks. Convenient Amenities: Free washing facilities (essential for our month-long voyage with a party of four), a microwave, a mini-fridge, and ample closet space. The Suite Layout: The divided rooms gave our brother his own private space, complete with a sliding glass door, desk, and privacy curtain. The Bathroom: A powerful, beautifully hot shower with both handheld and rain options. Location & Value: An economical price for a very central location close to all the sights and restaurants of Dali Ancient Town. Bonus: Sister An whips up a very delicious latte! Because we ran out of time to do everything we wanted in Dali, we will definitely be back—and we will absolutely stay at this hotel again!

This stay exceeded my expectations. The breakfast selection was rich, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes, and even offered freshly cooked rice noodles. The ingredients were fresh, and dining with a view of Erhai Lake was a truly healing and leisurely experience. The room's cleanliness was impeccable; the entire space was spotless and odor-free. The bedding was soft, and the bathroom was dry and clean. Housekeeping did a thorough daily tidy-up, paying attention to every detail. The butler service was attentive and efficient, coordinating our itinerary in advance and responding promptly to requests, quickly resolving any needs. They even provided sweet soup and fresh fruit in the evening, adding a heartwarming touch. With its prime Erhai Lake view, it's perfect for both leisurely vacations and short-term stays. A highly recommended choice when visiting Dali.

The environment is clean and tidy, with a courtyard and a large terrace. The breakfast is rich and delicious, and can even be delivered to the room. When we went out without hats, we saw one at the front desk and asked the lady if we could borrow it. She immediately handed it to us! In the evening, there was also a delicious golden ear soup, which is quite suitable for girls. This is my second stay here. My first experience was great, and the environment was lovely, with four cats and a Border Collie. Because of that good experience, I chose this place again. This time, I didn't confirm my booking time early enough, so I had to book day by day, which meant changing rooms every day. However, on the second day, the front desk staff thoughtfully upgraded our room for the third day, saving us a lot of hassle! There was plenty of breakfast. As someone who doesn't usually like rice noodles, their minced meat rice noodles opened up a new world for me; they're still delicious 😋. Next time I'm in Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again. It's great value for money! The service is attentive and highly recommended! It's not noisy at night, and the soundproofing is good. They basically grant every request; when I asked if they had a thermometer, the staff immediately brought one up! So thoughtful ❤️. I highly recommend everyone to stay here. It's also super photogenic for pictures!

The moment I opened the door, I was instantly wowed. The view of Erhai Lake from the room is absolutely spectacular — photos can only capture about 70% of its beauty. In person, it's a hundred times more stunning. . The room is extremely comfortable, with a well-designed bathroom layout featuring separate areas for the toilet, shower, and vanity, plus a beautiful soaking tub. Every amenity in the room is perfect and of very high quality — especially the toilet, which comes with both a bidet spray and a fully automatic function. . The bed is incredibly soft. After a full day of sightseeing on foot, I slept like a log — and a relaxing warm soak beforehand made it even better. . Upon arrival, afternoon tea and snacks were served, which was such a lovely way to unwind after the journey. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful in every way. . Breakfast includes noodle soup and congee, along with fruit, hot dogs, and yogurt. . The hotel also offers airport and train station transfers, which is very convenient. . The location is not far from attractions such as Santorini and other nearby sights. . For getting around Erhai Lake, renting a car to explore at your own pace is the most efficient option. If you don't have a rental, you can use Didi (ride-hailing) or take the sightseeing bus — though with the bus, you can only board and alight at designated stops. . One more tip: Didi is available around Erhai Lake until quite late at night and can drop you right at the hotel, so don't worry if you want to stay out a little longer before heading back. ---

We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City. The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere. A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of. Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases. For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us. Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨

Returning to Dali from Jizu Mountain, I temporarily chose to stay at Jinsuo Island. I have been to Dali many times, and this is my first time on the island. This hotel is indeed the most satisfactory one. The room has an unbeatable sea view. You can see the sea and the sunrise while lying on the bed. The facilities are very smart and the hygiene is also very clean. Super cost-effective! The breakfast in the sea view restaurant is also a little surprise.

Nestled in Shuanglang Ancient Town beside Erhai Lake, this beautiful hotel's location was a pleasant surprise. Situated on Yuji Island, you can enjoy the shimmering waters of Erhai Lake from a lounge chair on the terrace – a tranquil oasis right at your doorstep. The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and the hotel is filled with thoughtfully designed gardens and charming details, including a rooftop terrace perfect for photos! Beautiful scenery, the vibrant colors of Yunnan! Thank you to the butler for the attentive service! This is my first review on Ctrip, and I genuinely think this hotel is excellent! While my experience exploring Dali Ancient City was rather lukewarm, this hotel left a lasting impression.

This was easily our favourite accommodation and the best butler service we experienced throughout our entire Yunnan trip!! Before we even arrived, the staff contacted us to confirm our ETA so they could prepare accordingly. When we reached the accommodation, they were already waiting outside to welcome us and were practically “fighting” to help carry our luggage 😂 Our butler then introduced us to the activities available, recommended nearby attractions, and showed us around our rooms and the amenities provided. Some of the things we especially appreciated: • Service: Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Any request was just a WeChat message away, and they were always quick to help. They also helped us receive quite a number of parcels we had ordered online, which made things so convenient for us. • Rooms & amenities: The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. One of our rooms had an amazing view of Erhai — waking up to that view was definitely a highlight! However, do take note that not every room has a view. Our other room did not have a view and was located directly beside the room door. There were also useful items available for guests at the lobby, such as sunscreen, insect repellent and sanitizer. • Afternoon tea: We really enjoyed this! There was a good selection of tea and coffee, the fruits were sweet, and both the flower pastries (鲜花饼) and rose cake were delicious. One day we were out and couldn't make it back for afternoon tea, so they actually saved our portion and left it in our room for us. • Little extras: We were each given a complimentary ticket to 小普陀 (XiaoPuTuo). Our room for 4 pax also included a complimentary photoshoot with 5 nicely taken and edited photos. • Night drink: The rose vinegar served at night was surprisingly good and refreshing — especially nice for tourists like us who had been eating all day 😂 • Thoughtful send-off: On our last day, we had to leave before breakfast time. Our butler prepared breakfast packs for us with milk, probiotic bread, fruits, steam eye masks and wipes. ----- There are just two small things we feel could be improved. 1. The toilet paper is currently placed inside a recessed hole in the bathroom wall, so having a proper toilet paper holder would make it more convenient. 2. It would also be great if the accommodation's outdoor logo/signage had lighting, as the area gets quite dark at night and the entrance can be a little difficult to spot. ----- These were very minor issues compared to our overall experience. We stayed at several accommodations throughout our Yunnan trip, and this was hands down the one that left the BEST impression on us. The butler service here was the best we experienced during the entire trip, and we genuinely felt very well taken care of from before we arrived until the moment we left. ❤️
