The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the beef and omelets. I was surprised it's served until noon.
Electric scooters are available for rent right next door, which is super convenient for a leisurely ride along Erhai Lake.
The stay was quiet and relaxing. The entertainment options like curling, foosball, and billiards were all great too.

GGuest UserI've lost count of how many times I've stayed at Meishan Inn. It's truly my favorite inn in Dali Ancient City!
The location is superb, extremely close to all the fun spots around Renmin Road and the ancient city, yet it's incredibly quiet at night, not noisy at all. The owner's service is incredibly thoughtful and meticulous; any questions or requests are handled perfectly. The inn itself is beautifully decorated, making it a perfect place to unwind and relax. I could easily spend an entire afternoon doing nothing but sitting in the courtyard. I genuinely recommend everyone to stay here!

GGuest UserTraveling with my elderly parents, convenience was key, and I'm so glad we chose this hotel instead of staying in Haixi. Xiaguan District is where the locals live in Dali, and it's incredibly convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment. Right downstairs from the hotel, there are all sorts of local specialty restaurants. The hotel's location is excellent, and the views are simply stunning; you open the door and Erhai Lake is right there. The breakfast selection is rich, with rice noodles and regular noodles available all day. Since my elderly parents prefer simple dinners, we often asked the hotel to stir-fry two vegetable dishes and prepare some rice vermicelli for us, and they always accommodated our requests without hesitation. The service is truly exceptional – the front desk young lady was gentle and warm-hearted, and the restaurant young lady was also incredibly kind and enthusiastic. Overall, among all the hotel staff I've encountered, everyone, from the airport pick-up to the front desk and even the maintenance staff, was patient and welcoming. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance; it's particularly well-suited for families and friends traveling together.

Ccytt1The location is easy to find, just a ten-minute walk from the Old Town. The environment is clean and there's a private courtyard. Plus, you can pet the resident cats! The front desk staff at the Garden Hotel provided excellent, all-in-one service. The young man was super friendly, helping us with our luggage up and down the stairs, and even did our laundry and drying. We'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right by Erhai Lake and not far from Dali Old Town. Our room offered stunning, direct lake views and was incredibly quiet. The large bed was super comfortable for sleeping. All the in-room facilities and amenities were comprehensive and of high quality. Stepping outside, you're right on the Erhai Lake Ecological Corridor, perfect for a run or a bike ride to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Plus, there are quite a few local specialty restaurants and coffee shops nearby. It was delightful to spend an afternoon in a coffee shop, enjoying the lake view – truly relaxing. The hotel service was exceptionally warm and attentive. They proactively helped with luggage and offered shuttle service, which was a very thoughtful touch.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and the hotel is filled with thoughtfully designed gardens and charming details, including a rooftop terrace perfect for photos! Beautiful scenery, the vibrant colors of Yunnan! Thank you to the butler for the attentive service! This is my first review on Ctrip, and I genuinely think this hotel is excellent! While my experience exploring Dali Ancient City was rather lukewarm, this hotel left a lasting impression.

GGuest UserWe had a comfortable five nights stay at this hotel. It is located on the South Gate of the ancient town. The lady boss greeted us as soon as we alighted from the taxi and helped us with our luggage. She even got ready a fruit basket for us when we checked in. She gave us helpful advise and helped us book a driver to take us around to different places of interest a bit further away from Dali ancient town. The same driver then drove us to Shaxi and dropped us off in Lijiang.
The hotel has a washing machine with complementary washing liquid. And a patio area where we dry our clothes.
The hotel is opposite a bustling market with lots of food and restaurants around. I love to walk around the market everyday just to see all the different fruit and vegetables on sale. The main night market is just 5 minutes walk away and it has a lot of interesting street food and restaurants .
I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

GGuest UserTheir service is incredible and the hotel is very clean. Staff were friendly and really helpful, thanks to them for offering a suitable solution for my sick friend who needed more rest.
We didn’t get the time to walk around the hotel, so the pictures I took were mainly the surrounding area which was beautiful. (Didn’t expect to see so many 蓝花 still at the end of May)
As for the room, it was big and spacious. First picture is view, last picture was when we were stargazing. The only things to note is that there isn’t really a place for clothes in the shower area, only a small place to hold shower bottles.
Another would be the need to plug the insect repellent to the switch upon entering the room. We were oblivious at first so there were many mosquitoes in the common area, and thankfully none in the other room.
Finally a tip, you can ask them to transport you to 理想邦 and there is also a discount.
Overall, we had a lovely stay thanks to the hotel’s hospitality☺️

You can take pictures on the rooftop, which is good for physical strength. There is also breakfast in the morning, which is made by their local aunt, and it's super delicious rice noodles. Unlimited refills. It's also very convenient to go out in the town. When you walk out, you will see Yang Liping's Sun Palace, and on the other side is Nanzhao Fengqing Island.

GGuest UserWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!
