10 minutes walk from Dresden Hauptbanhof and 15 minutes walk to Neumarktplatz. Big shopping mall next door and PragerStrasse has all kinds of shops and restaurants. All in all a great location. Our room was an unusual layout with a large foyer and even larger bedroom but with sp**** furniture. We liked it as we had plenty of room to spread out. All the staff we met were smiling and helpful.

In the centre. Park in one of the many underground parkings and go out to the square with the Frauenkirche in front. The parking is expensive (EUR 25 per day), but to have a two-step car in the centre of a city can be stayed. We book by signaling that we will arrive between 19 and 20, we receive confirmation mail without the indication that the reception closes at 19.... We arrive, there is a telephone number on the door and the indication to go to the reception some doors further: It is not easy to call a German number when the German is not known. After a few minutes, a girl will come up and tell us to go to the Suitess Hotel at a few hundred meters and the key will be given there: a few hundred meters is true, but if you have the baggage and if it isn't the best rain. A poster in front of the door or a response mail with the info would be appropriate. Mini-apartment large, clean, with bathroom and cooking angle, nothing to say, perfect and comfortable.

The hotel is located next to the Frauenkirche in Dresden. There are many attractions around it. We are a family of three, a couple with a nine-year-old child, the hotel fee is paid through Ctrip in advance, the child does not have an extra bed, and an extra 5 euros per night will be charged when checking in. It feels that European double beds are made of two single beds. The overall feeling of staying in was good, the second and third photos were taken hurriedly and unclearly. There is a dedicated living room, which is very convenient for watching TV and eating. The kitchen and toilet are not photographed. The kitchen does not have an oven and has an electric stove. The toilet is not small, there is a washing machine, but we haven't used it.

We spent seven nights in Dorint Dresden for a private stay in Dresden. A major advantage of this hotel is its traffic-friendly location: the old town with its attractions is in a footing distance, the tram driving in Dresden at close distances holds almost outside the door. The hotel itself is not new, but the public areas make a well-treated impression and our standard room to the indoor courtyard on the second floor was clean, spacious and very quiet. The room design is originated from another time, which has not disturbed us, but modernisation should necessarily be accompanied by additional sticks. The service in the house was professional, the staff were friendly and accessible to the guests' concerns at any time. The breakfast offer was in line with the ”international standard” for a hotel of this category, the fresh egg food and the associated supplements were much better than in many other hotels. Critically, the great offer of sauce and bakery products in Dresden and the surroundings was only extremely limited - backbrushes, cutting etc. were acceptable standard products as they exist everywhere, But with which you don't even get off. Damn. The high prices in the deep garage (17 Euros per day) criticized in other reviews can easily be handled with a 10 Euro cheaper parking behind the hotel. However, this price policy is incomprehensible. On the house policy of non-cleaning of rooms for sustainability reasons, note: The daily cleaning of rooms can be logged in at check-in - you are explicitly asked by the receptionist - that then works without any mistake. It is only strange that Dorint does not give incentives to refrain from cleaning - targeting a bad consciousness is rather contraproductive. Finally, the daily opening of the bar in a well-booked hotel should be obvious. The bar staff makes a great job. Overall, Dorint Dresden is very recommendable for a short stay, even if there and there is still ”air up”. We would come back.

Location is good. Facilities are a bit too old to be rightfully at the Hilton brand standard, but acceptable and understandable at this price level. On the services, there is substantial room for improvement. Staff are responsive but badly need to be trained with better protocols and practices.

Furthermore, the breakfast served daily was a highlight of our stay. Each morning greeted us with a delightful spread of culinary delights, impeccably presented and fabulous service. It provided the perfect start to our days of exploration and adventure. Our room surpassed all expectations. In contrast to typical European standards, it was remarkably spacious and boasted a charming view overlooking a picturesque street.

Best positive surprise on my whole trip. Very good location, not in the center but few steps to the train station Dresden-Neustadt, tramway in front of the hotel and also around the corner, 5 min to the Barock Viertel with lots of restaurants and bars and approx 15min walking right into the center/ old town. Very clean and modern rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly helpful staff and moderate rates.
