Grand Hotel Downtown Reviews

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The area is extremely unsafe, surrounded by crackhouses and drug users — I feared for my safety just walking to the entrance. The room was advertised as non-smoking, but it reeked of cigarettes. The floor was dirty, broken, damp, and likely full of mold. Absolutely no hygiene. But the worst part? The photos online are a fraud. What you see in the pictures is NOT what you get. It’s false advertising and a total scam. This place is a health and safety hazard, and it should be removed from all booking platforms. Avoid it at all costs.

The room is quite small and the wall is thin. You can easily hear your neighbours

The location is very bad! The area is full of drug users and dealers  Many drunk and alcoholic are on the roads and I afraid of my car because they can break the glasses. The reception was not good  I don’t want to go this area again never, around this hotel is redlight district and very dangerous area

Service was good as the counter person was extremely helpful. But during our stay aircond was not working for the hotel rooms so we have to open up the window but was too noisy at night due to all the pubs etc.

The worst hotel I ever stay room size of a restroom and restroom is just a size of fridge. It was that bad I left after an hour and book another hotel and staff was unapologetic

Location is good, very close to the main train station, room is ok for the price in Frankfurt, had a great time here.

The localisation is central but it's a neighbourhood that is quite scary to walk alone at night.

I'm baffled as to how this hotel has a 4-star rating. The room was extremely dirty and in poor condition, with a stale tobacco odour and clear signs of neglect. The shower was coated in grime, the faux leather headboard was peeling, and the walls were covered in stains. The night receptionist was not very welcoming, and the surrounding area felt unsafe, with a noticeable presence of drug users and ********.

I like my little room. Good WiFi and close to many halal shop. Don't out at night as so many weirdos out there .

The rooms were really clean and the people were very friendly are highly recommended it's very close to the main train station

The room is reasonable for it's price. Close to stores and the station. Just the neighborhood is filled with shady and homeless people. I wouldn't advise to go outside when it's dark. But other than that the service is good

The hotel location is near the train station. The hotel service is quite good. Breakfast is nice. The room facility is good. The only problem from hotel was the overcharge which Trip.com solved the problem very quickly and easily.

The location is a bit rough but they do a great job keeping everything clean and cozy. Water in the shower needs a few minutes to get hot but it works fine. Good for solo travellers who don’t mind the location.
