"It is an old city center hotel that was popular in the past.
It looks old and worn, but is well maintained, with tiled marble floors, good central heating and boiler heating, and a half-moon bathtub in the large bathroom. Good for couples to enjoy.
In particular, it is a hotel that will take care of Gangwon-do’s winter with the best value for money."

"I wanted to sleep in the mountains, not far from the Gangneung beach (around 30 minutes). The owner was very kind and prepared a meal that he cooked himself, so I was very grateful. The location is surrounded by mountains and located high up (vehicles allowed, of course), so the view is also good. I came here while listening to the sound of the mountain breeze without any external noise. It is an old pension, so there are limitations in facilities, but I recommend it to those who want to relax in comfort and hospitality in the mountains."

"The location was good because it was close to the beach. There is a dog (?) dog in front of the house, but it looked scary, but it was nice to be gentle, and it was nice to have a whirlpool in the hostel."

GGuest UserI made a reservation at the lowest price and was given a room on the first floor with a parking lot view, so I paid extra and got a room in the middle with a sea view on the third floor. It's the same as the introduction, and the sea view outside is pretty. It was nice to be able to enjoy the daytime sea, the night sea, and even the sunrise. Cleanliness was good, and the bedding and bed mattress were quite good. Using the jacuzzi was also okay. It was okay because it was the season when there weren't many people, but since it has full-length windows, you can see everything from the roadside if you stay close to the window. No one will want to look closely. Highly recommended for those who want to sleep and relax while watching the waves of the sea change from moment to moment.

AanonxStaff greeted warmly, was able to check in slightly earlier even if it was 30mins early. Room was relatively clean and bed is comfortable, the view was astounding. It was worth the price I paid for! (Glad to come across the discounted prices)
There's BHC chicken, minimart and CU convenience store too, also other restaurants. Should you prefer another convenience store, there is a e-mart next to the hotel and a lot of the raw fish restaurants down the road. Though quite of a distance from the downtown city, taxi fares are relatively affordable. Great experience!
Nevertheless will definitely come back to stay again if opportunity arises.

TTheGiantPandaIf you are looking for an easy sunrise experience, this hotel is for you! You can set the alarm, then open the curtain. Once the alarm goes off, open your eyes and there you go! Sun is rising in front of your eyes!

DDrCraqIt was a very nice experience - of course the hotel is more expensive due to its unique ”design”, but for us it was worth it (we only stayed one night). The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean and parking was included. Only thing is, that there is a little walk from the parking lot to the reception, but there are carts that can be borrowed. Also the surrounding area is nice and has some viewing spots worth exploring. We had nothing to complain.

AAThe service surpasses our expectations. The staff are polite, efficient, and always ready to help. Special credit goes to General Manager Hong who speaks good English and would always walk an extra mile to give us assistance.
The environment is commendable. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a chic design. The room is brightly lit and spacious. We appreciate the practical design, such as power points conveniently equipped right in front of the working table.
We like the cozy meeting area on G/F where we can gather for a chat and savor a cup of complimentary tea or coffee. Besides, we recommend the Italian restaurant, Brother & Brother, on the 9/F. The menu mainly offers pizza, pasta and risotto. Breakfast, which must be booked in advance, include orange juice, coffee, cereal and a sumptuous sandwich fully packed with healthful vegetables, egg, ham and cheese. Anyway, the food is delicious, sometimes with a Korean twist. It is good value for money. The restaurant also has a good view overlooking the mountains and the wind turbines from afar.
Overall, we are very satisfied with The HongC Hotel. The stay was pleasant and happy.

UUnyoung GleasonHotel tops 10 was a nice hotel on top of a big hill. The service was good and the ameneties were good, we got a big hotel room with a large TV and good view of the water. Unfortunately the hotel is quite isolated from the rest of the town and makes you rely on the hotel for things like food and other attractions. We did not experience any restaurants or the bath house due to our short stay, so unfortunately cannot comment on that. There is a convenience store in side the hotel that we ended up getting our dinner from, which was still good :) overall we wished we had done anything at the hotel if we go again. If you have a car you should be able to go to the town..

It was a bit crowded and chaotic because there were a lot of people staying there during the holiday,
but the owner and the uncle were kind and had a great sense of making welcome coffee themselves. The breakfast was like a line of kimbap in the reviews, but it was toast, eggs, cereal, milk,
and because it was winter, I was impressed by the soup fish cake.
After eating a lot in the morning, I felt very hungry~~^^
I recommend this place for the price^^

Ssunbeam98It is in a great location, literally in front of the beach.
There is a self check-in available at the front desk, but for some reason it didn’t work so ended up talking to the reception staff anyway, which is okay.
While the main features of the room were clean (bedding, bathroom…), the air con unit was completely black with mould inside. Unfortunately I have some mould allergies, and so I had some reactions overnight.
The room also had some strange marks on the wall.. I think that the quality of the room looks better in the photos than the reality…
While I did book this place a little bit last minute (a few weeks in advance, but during peak time), it was overpriced for what it was (150,000₩ per night with a coupon).
It’s certainly not the worst place in the world, but I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had to choose.

GGuest UserSuper nice sea view , room look exactly like the photo . Room with simple cooking equipment that u can cook ramen or little snack . Dryer , towel all those basic things are provided. But 2 things u have to take notes , this homestay type of property doest not have reception or person incharge at the area , even during check in , so make sure u contact with trip.com to get the check in information before u reach there , or else if u can speak korean or u will need to at-least have a number that can call Korean number to contact property management when u arrive and tell them u need check in , i think simple English like “check in “ they can understand. If u don’t have any number that can call or did not contact trip earlier on to get the information, u will be there and wait and u can’t check in smoothly for sure . Secondly this location is far from the city area (like ktx/ bus express terminal and anmok beach ) this location is only near to sundubu gelato by foot about 20min. My suggestion is if u wanna stay here , prepare food and drink and stay whole day just in room to enjoy the view of sea and nice room if u did not driving . Basically for the view and nice room , I will come back again .
