There were 2 sitting areas in our room, one with chairs and the other on the tatami with heated blanket. The onsen was good and not very crowded. We stayed one night and was able to try all 3 public onsens. The hotel has a system which allowed guests to check crowd condition of the onsens so that we could choose to visit when they were less crowded. At check in, an employee escorted us to the room and gave us an orientation to all the locations in the hotel and our room. He explained clearly how we could utilize the facilities and the system to check onsen conditions. Employees were generally knowledgeable and friendly. We managed to book the half boarding package which saved us a lot of trouble as we didn’t find many dinning choices in the town. However, only reason why I did not rate this hotel a 5 is because of the dinning experience. I feel that the food quality could be improved. The buffet breakfast was mediocre and quality of food for the set dinner could be better. This place is definitely worth a visit with its good location, good rooms and great service.
