"Not recommended! This place is in the middle of nowhere and there is no shop nearby. You can only walk or take a taxi to go out. There is only a McDonald's and a convenience store for food within a 10-minute walk, and then it is a rural area. It feels like you can't get away even if you have wings. There is also a time limit to go to Tokyo, and there is no car whenever you want. It was a terrible experience! Every minute I'm here, I want to go back to Tokyo😭It's too painful🥹The so-called hot spring is just a small pool... (help"
"This is a hotel on the court, all aspects are better than domestic five-star hotels, the room size is large, the quality of toiletries is very good, the design and layout of the hotel lobby and other public spaces are also very good! Unfortunately, I didn't make an appointment in advance, and I didn't eat the special dinner of the 25th anniversary event. I must develop the habit of making an appointment in advance when I go to Japan in the future. Playing on this stadium has always been at the foot of Mount Fuji, and the view and scenery are very beautiful!"

"I was very satisfied with the accommodation, which was like a condominium-style villa.
I stayed here on a golf trip, but there are still many golf courses nearby that I would like to play at, so I would like to stay here again next time.
I look forward to staying with you again."
"The location is not good if you don't have a car. I had heavy bags and it took me about 40 minutes to reach the hotel. I took a taxi back to the station after check out which cost 1200 yen. It is in a bit of an isolated area. Closest convenience store was about 10-15 mins on foot.
The hotel itself is nice, clean and new. Rooms a bit small but I had a spectacular view of Fuji from my window. The bed was new and very comfortable. Remember to take a taxi from the station if you have a lot of luggage."
"Parking is very convenient
Opposite is Aeon Maxvalue, Daiso
There will be a lot of cleansing products for girls when they check in.
The double bed is small
The large bathing area is divided into men's and women's time slots. For girls, it is before 9:30 pm, and for boys, it is after 10 pm. The bathhouse is very small and can only accommodate about 5 to 6 people."
"We had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets.
The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious!
The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride.
Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese.
We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba."
"I recently had a wonderful vacation at a glamping hotel near Mount Fuji and left with unforgettable memories. This hotel provides a new accommodation experience and allows me to feel the beauty of nature. The setting is very beautiful, surrounded by dense woods and stunning mountain views. I was able to enjoy a comfortable bed and full bathroom in a luxurious tent while still being able to feel the ambiance of nature. The weather was perfect and sunny, allowing me to enjoy a barbecue and campfire outdoors. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming, always willing to help. This glamping experience left a wonderful impression on me and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy nature and experience a unique stay."
"Location: Near to Shinagawa Station which link to most of the place you will visit as a tourist.
Cleanliness: the room is clean, not feeling any uncomfortable.
Service: We reached the hotel around 8pm after visit Gotemba Premium Outlet, the reception staff is not english speaker but we still able to communicate via google translate & some body language.
Facilities: we do not have time to try their facilities, but in room facilities is well maintained. check out process is simple and is friendly.
View: I forgot which floor we stayed, but the view is awesome, before we checked out we can see the Mt. Fuji which is superb."
"Located at the side of main road in Gotemba with enough free parking spaces, and walkable distance to lots of restaurants around so better drive with your own car as it is 15 min away from train station ). If weather is good and clear, you can see Mt Fuji just on front of the hotel.. Restaurant foods, mainly brekkie, are really basic and without many choices.
Hotels staffs are helpful and polite. "

XXenia GohThis was hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in many - work covered, expensive ”5 star hotels”. We had perfect views of Mt. Fuji. The rooms were huge and super well fitted out. It's not the best location wise if you're wanting to go shopping in Gotemba, but this didn't bother us as we hired a car and drove there on our own.
The service was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive and went way beyond and above.
The driver drove us to our destination (Gotemba train station that we requested) and then realized we were standing around looking where to go - he came over and asked if we were lost and drove us to the correct location (the car rental shop).
The reception gave us a tour of the area to make sure we knew where the lifts were, how to use the various facilities (especially the onsen).
If you have kids or traveling as a couple, I couldn't recommend this place more.
CCY TanI recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable.
The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout.
One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded.
The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated.
Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.
AANNIE LIM NIAN YILocation is far from most of the attractions, will be nice to have a car. It took me 15 mins to walk from Tomei Gotemba Highway Bus station. There are free shuttle buses provided to Gotemba Premium Outlet from this station.
The hotel is very comfy, suitable to chill and enjoy the hit spring, good for family vacation. Free flow soba from 9.30 till 11pm, free yogurt drink and ice cream as well. The view from room is amazing! Basically can just stay in room and enjoy Mt Fuji view
MMake My DayChose this hotel as it is near walking distance from the Gotemba station where it is the meeting point for the Mt Fuji hike. The hotel is simple, decent size room for a comfortable stay.
You can actually have a lovely view of Mt Fuji just outside the hotel front.
It is also within walking distance to the shuttle bus stop where there is a complimentary shuttle bus to bring you to the Gotemba Premium Outlet. You can easily spend the whole day shopping and having your meals at the Outlet.
GGuest UserI took the bus from Yamanakako to Gotemba Terminal. The waiting time was a bit annoying. It was late... I didn't have a good sense of direction. After arriving at the station, I saw that the hotel was nearby, but I walked for half an hour relying on Google. If I was familiar with it, it would probably take 10 minutes. The hotel has a good location. I plan to take the bus to Fuji the next day. It is very convenient as a transit rest stop. Haagen-Dazs must be bought at the convenience store at night~ I can see Mount Fuji when I open the window of the room I stayed in in the morning. It was a surprise... The breakfast was standard, and I felt very full.
Facilities: Complete, everything you need, satisfied
Hygiene: Clean and tidy
Environment: Good location, close to the station
Service: The service attitude is very good, and you are always full of energy...
GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for 5 days and had a wonderful family holiday.
It takes around 5-8 minutes to get to the hotel by taxi from Gotemba station. The hotel also offers reliable shuttle bus service.
It’s nicely located and designed for guests to enjoy the spectacular view of Mt Fuji wherever you go in the hotel, whether you’re having breakfast, bathing in the onsen, drinking coffee in the lounge or staying in your room. Staff were also very helpful and enthusiastic.
GGuest UserWe are a HK family w 2 kids, this hotel is fit for the ppl to have car, as it’s just next to the IC, and there’s a convenient store opposite to the hotel, and we only can drive car to find the nearby restaurant & Aeon supermarket, we are very satisfied w the hotel tidy, clean and provided w onsen, thank you.
RRafiq9673It was good overall. The distance a little far from the station. A few convenience shop around. Service was good but lacks water bottle and water dispenser. A nice and chill city.
CCarl the WandererI’d be highly likely to recommend this to my family and friends coming to Gotemba for the first time.
1. Very accessible to the JR Gotemba train and Gotemba Eki bus stations (they are just across the hotel. Nice great restaurants around this hotel.
2. Good services, friendly reception
3. Good value for money
I could have stayed for more days here but all rooms were already fully booked by then.
KKennethI booked a room for a night to stay before my early morning Mt Fuji climb. The staff were excellent, helped me with taxi booking and also held my bag the next day for me to retrieve it after my climb. Two nice surprises: free dinner of curry rice or noodles is provided, also there is a Men's bath (like an onsen) onsite, which the staff let me use after my climb to clean up. There is also a large supermarket nearby for supplies.
