The accommodation is located at Jinhu Station on Line 3, about 8 minutes walk from Exit 1 of the subway. There is a Homeplus supermarket at the subway exit, and there are also many convenience stores and restaurants on the road. The living function is pretty good. The accommodation is located in the alley of the market. I couldn't find the entrance door by searching the address. After asking the landlord, they said that I could see how to get there from their IG, which was much clearer. The room is on the 2nd floor, there is no elevator, and the shared bathroom is on the 3rd floor (I actually don't think it is very convenient, but I didn't know about it until the landlord provided the room password). Although it is a shared bathroom, it is actually only used in one room, and the other rooms have independent bathrooms. It is recommended to install a shelf in the bathroom to put towels and change of clothes. The shared bathroom on the 3rd floor is a bit like the rooftop, and the door on the 3rd floor is open to the open air! I think the size of the room is just right for a solo traveler, and two 20-inch carry-on suitcases can be fully opened and placed on the ground. The accommodation has washing, shower, hair care, hair dryer, comb and indoor slippers (and night lights), so you don't have to bring your own. It's a pity that there is no mirror in the room. There is a water dispenser on the accommodation floor, and there is also a water dispenser in the kitchen on b1. You can use the kitchen during the opening hours. I personally feel that the sound insulation is not very good. The room I live in is close to the door on the second floor. As long as someone goes in and out, I can hear the sound, even the next room. If you are a light sleeper or someone who is sensitive to sound, you can evaluate it, but it is very close to the water dispenser! 😂. If you have any questions, contact the host through trip.com, there will be AI translation, so you don’t have to worry about language problems at all. The host also replied very quickly, great!

Great location. The administration sent a letter with detailed instructions on how to get there. The hostel is clean. We couldn't hear our neighbors. The room is large. The mattresses are a bit hard, but since we walked a lot, we slept like logs. There is a common area on the roof. The second floor is currently undergoing renovations.

Located along the road lined with yellow tents in Dongdaemun, right in front of DDP! The limousine bus stop is also right there! It's not near an entrance with an elevator or escalator, but it's very conveniently located as it's close to the entrances to lines 2 and 4! The room was 7-8 tatami in size with a double bed, TV, air conditioning (probably only in the summer), a large window with a screen door, 4-5 hangers, and a full-length mirror, and the bathroom and toilet were about 2 tatami mats in size, so it was plenty spacious for a solo traveler. The shower was between the bathroom and toilet, and I used a large plastic bag over the toilet when using it. There was only one toothbrush for my 4 nights. Soap and toilet paper were replenished when they ran out, bath towels and hand towels were changed every day, and the room was cleaned up every day. The towels were fluffy and very comfortable. The washing machine was a very large vertical type, so I had a bit of trouble getting it out of my 160cm tall frame, but it was very well-used. Detergent and other things were provided. There was a simple kitchen, so you could make instant ramen. There was also a microwave there, so you could heat up retort meals. There was no kettle in the room, but hot water was available from the water server in the kitchen. The staff were also very kind and cheerful. They spoke to foreign guests in English, but they also seemed to understand Korean and Chinese. There were often a few young people staying there, so there was no soundproofing, and there was always a lively atmosphere until late at night, so sensitive people may not be able to sleep. Also, before arriving at the hotel, there were only stairs in the hotel. It may be a bit difficult for people with a lot of luggage. There were only female staff, but when I called out to them, they said in English, ”I'll carry it for you! I'm strong!” (I'm quite strong, so I carried it myself...) The location is great and the cleanliness is top notch, so I'd like to use it again if I have the chance, but the stairs leading up to the second and third floors are very narrow, so I'd prefer to use it on the first floor if possible.

Overall it’s pretty good. However, it was a bit difficult for girls to carry the luggage up the stairs by themselves. I didn't see the reception during the whole process. When I checked in early, I just made a phone call to the front desk and was told to just drop off the luggage. The lobby feels like you can come and go as you please and there is no one supervising you. The room feels clean and tidy, with a good sense of space! You can pour hot water outside, which is great!

I used a room with two bunk beds, and the location was also very satisfying because it was in the middle of Insadong, if you turn right, it comes out. However, as soon as I entered, the smell of cigarette smoke was so strong that it didn't go away even after I ventilated. I think it's just like that. I got used to it while sleeping, so I didn't notice, but if I went out to the convenience store and came back, there was a cigarette smell. 🤣🤣 I want to come again next time, and if I get a different room, I'll give it 100 points.

You have to ask for the password to enter the room over the phone, so if you don't speak Korean or English you might be worried. We were speaking in Korean, but I'm not good with numbers so I couldn't hear them, but they told me the numbers in Japanese, so maybe we could have a conversation in Japanese too. When I entered the room it was pretty clean and I'd like to stay here again, but it seems to be popular so it's hard to find vacancies!

The guesthouse is within walking distance from Hyehwa Station. The nightlife around this estate is also very lively, so rest assured should you need to return back later in the evening. The complimentary breakfast served is decent - you get a choice of toasted bread with spread, instant ramen or oatmeal. This is coupled with some milk, fruit juice, coffee, tea and water. However, you will need to prepare the meals yourself and clean the dishes after that. A caution that the room can seem rather small and cramped (for those needing a spacious design when selecting your overseas accommodation). My individual shower facilities also had a stench odour of what seemed like sewage, which was the main disappointing portion. If not, the rest of the facilities are good enough - e.g. The toilet bowls are clean and fitted with smart toilet seats, providing a warm sitting experience for those relieving yourselves during the winter season in Korea. The hosts were also very friendly, despite their limited proficiency in spoken English Language. There is also a shared desktop computer for your internet usage in the balcony, as well as a smart television in each room with internet-based programmes (e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Disney Plus etc.). I will strongly recommend this accommodation to those seeking a value-for-money option, solo travellers wanting a communal yet safe space to have a roof under their heads for the night. Not for the introverted nature - you will have plenty of opportunities to interact and dine with many strangers, of which some might become your global friend!

It's only one subway station away from Hongdae, and it's convenient to go to Yeoe Island. 🏘It's very close to Hapjeong subway station, about a 5-minute walk from the station. There is a ramp, which is tiring if you carry a heavy suitcase. The room is fully self-service, the boss has WeChat, and can communicate in English. You can add the check-in and check-out time in advance before you go. Check-in is actually very simple. There are many envelopes on the door. Find the one with your name on it, and there is a card and room number inside. I personally think the room is average, but it does look pretty good in the photos. If there is a next time, I should choose it again. Finally, a picture of the facade of the homestay is attached to help you find the way.

I think it ’s great. It ’s not as good as the ones in the circle of friends. The boss is also very good. After all, the price is there. Some people may ask too much.
