Mountain View Hotels in Seoul

Location wise, Marguerite Hotel is almost perfect - nearest exit is Myeongdong Exit 1 (bonus as it comes with escalator), the Daiso that is a must visit for all tourists, near to Namsan Tower, airport limousine bus (right across Hotel Prince), and of course, just opposite the Myeongdong shopping heaven. You can always return to the hotel to stash your stuffs or for a quick refresh. For Muslim travellers, ”Lepakla” restaurant is just 5 steps away from the hotel, and near to Kampungku and Mari Meokja. Facilities like water dispenser (located at Ground Floor and second floor), tea and coffee is available 24/7. Iron is available upon request, bur ironing in your hotel room requires a bit of creativity as the size of the room could not accommodate luggages, let alone an ironing board. The projector in the room was a nice touch, I asked the receptionist how to use it and he said I need to connect it to my own laptop. But I don't carry HDMI cables around, especially when travelling. So after fiddling with the remote, I found out that I don't need to conect it to my laptop after all, as YouTube and Netflix is already readily available on the projector. The down side is, the size of the room. I managed to lay open my 26 inch luggage, but that leaves me no more room for other things. But the worst part is, the service of the hotel. Due to my bad knees, I have made a request for a room on lower floors via Trip. Upon check-in, I politely requested again for a room on lower floors. However, I was assigned to a room on the highest floor. The staff said nothing could be done, which was really disappointing. The staff offered to bring my luggage to the room, which I was grateful for, however, I had to drag my luggages all the way from fourth floor through the narrow staircase all the way down, resulting damage to my luggage. So if going up and down the staircase (there's no elevator/lift), is an issue, you might want to check out other places instead.

The lobby is gorgeous and has a great style. The room isn't big, but I found it quite cozy, and it was very quiet at night, so I slept soundly. We booked a twin room, but the two beds were quite small, only about a meter wide each. We had two small children with us, and the front desk charged an extra 200 yuan or so per person per day, which I found quite unreasonable. If they had provided extra towels, toiletries, or even an extra duvet, or a small toy (without being asked), it would have felt like we were getting something for that value. But as it was, there was no difference compared to not paying, especially since even toothbrushes cost extra. As for cleanliness, don't scrutinize the details too much; a germaphobe would have to turn a blind eye. For example, the bathtub felt dirty to the touch, and there was hair wrapped around the faucet, but we probably wouldn't use it anyway, so don't dwell on it too much.

Great location right by Myeongdong Station. Ideal for first-time visitors who want quick transit and easy access to everything. Staffs speak great English, and check-in was fast. Rooms are clean and modern. The rooftop foot spa after a full day of walking is a great touch. Solid stay overall!

Originally, I booked a hotel in Gangnam, but considering factors like shopping and sightseeing, I decided to switch to Voco Myeongdong at the last minute. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. In terms of service, from the front desk reception to the lounge, the swimming pool, and breakfast, every staff member was smiling and dedicated to providing excellent service. It was really good. For dining, the breakfast selection was extensive and the food tasted great. Enjoying a hot bowl of Vietnamese pho in the morning was very comforting. The lounge also had a good selection; happy hour offered three hot dishes, along with cold platters, desserts, drinks, and alcoholic beverages, all of high quality. The room was also quite satisfactory. It was well-equipped with all sorts of amenities. The first round of the mini-bar was complimentary every day, and the quality was decent. The smart toilet and bathtub were very convenient. There were also USB and Type-C chargers. The only minor issues were that the USB charging port seemed to be of poor quality and often disconnected. The 0.8m bed was a bit narrow, and there was a slight risk of falling off when turning over. Also, upon check-in, there were two bottles of shampoo and one conditioner in the shower, and I had to inform the front desk to get a bottle of body wash sent up. Furthermore, the swimming pool closes quite early, at 8:00 PM. The location is truly excellent. There's a subway station and several bus stops right downstairs. From the lounge, you can directly see Namsan Tower. Namdaemun Market is right across the street, and it's a direct walk to Lotte and Shinsegae Duty-Free Department Stores, as well as Myeongdong's main shopping street, making it very convenient for shopping. The hotel also has a GS25, Burger King, and coffee shops, making it incredibly easy to grab a bite or a drink. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

If you are coming to seoul for the first time, this hotel is necessary!!! ideal location, near metros such as myeongdong station, euljiro-1 and many more. you'll have quick access to buses as well specially if you come from Incheon Airport. Just take the bus at the airport and drop by Namdaemun bus station. The hotel provides the strict necessary items, such as shampoo, conditionner and body wash. As well as towels, hair dryer and specially their coffee. IFY, there is a laundry place near the Emart !!! And the Namsan tower is on a walkable distance. I would definetely come back. Plus if you're not aware, they just opened this September 2026, so all the equipements are new !

I simply love this hotel!  Of course, it has aged over time ( like myself! ) so it is not as shiny as I remember it, but the location is great and the staff are all very nice.   The first 2 days, I was not able to encounter one staff member I remember from my previous visits, but when checking out today, he happened to be present!!! Exactly as I remember him, warm, friendly and wonderful hospitality.  He is the reason I will stay here whenever I visit Seoul.   Thank you for making my trip to Seoul wonderful every time!!!

Perched on a hillside, getting around was a bit of a hassle, but the hotel itself felt very high-end. The entrance and lobby had a very elegant, old-school luxury hotel vibe, and the service was incredibly professional. From my room, I had a panoramic view of the city. The room hallways and the rooms themselves felt a bit dated but were very clean, with an older decor style. The hotel has a gym, pool, and tennis courts. It's a really large property, nestled against the mountain, offering beautiful and comfortable scenery – perfect for a relaxing getaway.

I traveled to Seoul alone, and overall, this hotel provided a great experience. Next time I'm in Seoul, I'll definitely consider staying here again! 👍🏻 Pros: 1. The location is excellent, right in Myeongdong and very close to Myeongdong Subway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. There are many restaurants nearby, a coffee shop and a self-service beverage store downstairs, and a convenience store a short walk further – super convenient. 2. The room was quite clean, equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a full-length mirror, a desktop mirror, a hairdryer, etc. There's a common lounge area on the first floor with a microwave, a refrigerator, and a water dispenser (which provides both hot and ice water). 3. Self-check-in is available. I checked in late at night, and it went very smoothly. Free luggage storage is also a big plus. 4. There's a rooftop terrace with a direct view of Namsan Tower, and the scenery is quite nice. 5. The staff's service attitude was very good. Cons: 1. The hotel is located on a steep hill. Going down is easy, but climbing up can be a bit challenging. If you have a large suitcase, it might be quite tiring. 2. There's no elevator for guests, but there is a luggage lift. Since I stayed on the second floor, it wasn't a big issue, but if you're on the fifth floor, it might be tiring to walk up. 3. My room was a bit small, just right for one person. For two people, it might feel a bit cramped, and the bathroom was small, making showering a bit inconvenient. 4. The mini-fridge was a bit noisy. I had to unplug it at night when I slept and plug it back in during the day. I had a wonderful time in Seoul and look forward to my next trip! 🥰

I booked a twin room this time, and for someone like me who's used to a firm mattress, it was a bit too soft. The location is excellent, right by Jongno 3-ga Exit 14, which has an escalator, so it's less than a 2-minute walk. The room amenities include a TV (no YouTube or Netflix, but paid movies are available), air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a wardrobe, a bedside table, a safe, and a hairdryer. The room itself isn't huge, but the bathroom is a decent size, and there are plenty of outlets. The basement offers free self-service laundry facilities, complete with detergent, which is super convenient for travelers.

The wallpaper of the room was quite worn out, making the room ambience look very old and dull/boring. However, it was clean and overall acceptable although it felt more like an apartment rather than a hotel. Despite that, the amenities were excellent, we appreciate the free flow drinking water dispenser and coffee, biscuits etc. at the lobby pantry. The only downside is that for a room for 5 people, they only provide 1 room card allowed, which is quite an hassle for obvious reasons.
