The hotel’s owner (Mr. Chon) was unexpectedly very humble and kind which he himself brought us to the place where my family n I can get a beautiful spring spots in Seoul. The hotel’s reception also very helpful and kind👍👍 very recommended you to stay here since the hotel is nearest to the airport transfer checkpoint (Bus 6013: Jangan Hill Officetel — 2 minutes walk distance)"

"My stay at HOTEL BOTANIK's Deluxe King Room in Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room had a modern, apartment-style feel with brand new facilities and full amenities, making it ideal for those planning a longer stay in Seoul. The in-room amenities were definitely the highlight. The air conditioning had a control panel for temperature adjustment, and it came equipped with an AirDresser, a washer-dryer combo, a separate fridge and freezer, an induction hob, and a microwave oven. Inside the cabinets, there was even a wine cooler, wine glasses, and mugs, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. Charging was also convenient, with both USB and Type-C outlets available, and the bidet toilet had a full range of functions. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, and the water pressure was consistent, making for a very comfortable shower. However, there were a few things to note: The kitchenware provided was quite basic, with only two plates, which might be insufficient if you plan to do a lot of cooking. Also, laundry detergent wasn't provided in the room, but you could purchase it at the front desk if needed. There are several construction sites near the hotel, but surprisingly, the soundproofing was excellent during my stay, with no noticeable noise at night. My sleep quality was quite peaceful. Overall, this hotel is more of a ”high-functional type” accommodation. The facilities are new and highly practical, feeling more like staying in a well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. It made for a very comfortable stay."

"The location of this hotel is such a big win. It’s literally just across the Yongsan station and just nearby Sinyongsan station too. I love the service and the hospitality of the staff! The room is great for a solo traveler like me. It’s a plus point that they gave me a view of the Hybe building (cause I’m a BTS Army!) Had a lovely stay here and I’ll definitely come back!"

"Pros: My room was incredibly clean, especially the bathroom. The sink gleamed, every corner was spotless, and the large mirror was perfect for makeup. The spacious counter was a huge plus for all my toiletries (girls tend to have a lot of skincare products!). The room size was typical for a Korean hotel, with enough space for two people's luggage. It's quite close to the subway station, with a convenience store and a few restaurants nearby, and a chill coffee shop just across the street. Although it's on a slope, it's a very short one. The elderly gentleman who checked us in at the front desk had an excellent attitude. There's even a tax refund machine in the hotel lobby. Cons: The soundproofing was poor. The two men in the next room were very loud. If it weren't for the language barrier, I think I would have known their entire conversation – there was absolutely no privacy. Luckily, we didn't stay on a weekend, so we didn't hear any bar-goers or drinkers. So staying here really depends on luck; if you get considerate guests who keep to themselves, it's great. But if you encounter loud ones, it's just bad luck. Also, at 1 AM, the TV (or possibly some other electronic box) suddenly blared an ear-splitting alarm, like an ambulance, which startled us awake. Since I take sedatives, being abruptly woken up is very disorienting for me. My girlfriend quickly unplugged all the power cords behind the TV, and the sound instantly disappeared. I don't know what caused this; I forgot to ask the front desk when we checked out, and I still have no idea what happened."

"Overall a good option for solo travelers. Located right near Dongdaemun subway station, very convenient to get to main touristy areas. There’s a 7/11 right outside the hotel and lots of restaurants in the area, some of them open 24/7. The room isn’t too small, enough to unpack your suitcase. There was a huge TV in the room with various streaming services available, nice to unwind watching a show at the end of the day. All necessary amenities were provided like towels, bathrobes, even hygienic product samples like lotion, cotton swabs, washing cloth etc. The lock is automatic, and I felt pretty safe in the hotel. Personally not a fan of Korean style bathrooms (no separation between showering area and the toilet), but you can get used to it. Please note that cleaning is upon request only."

"I had a pleasant one-week stay at this hotel during my solo trip to Seoul. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for a solo traveller. It was generally very clean, although the housekeeping standards were not always consistent — on a few occasions my bed wasn’t made, but clean towels and bottled water were still replenished daily. I appreciated the convenient facilities such as the laundry room and water dispenser in the basement. The hotel staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay."
