GGuest UserThere's no check-in process; a code is sent via email, so you can head straight to your room, which was great! The washing machine and microwave were a big plus, and being able to watch Netflix on the TV was fantastic. The only downside is it's a bit of a walk from the station, which could be tough if you have a lot of luggage.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to Sinsa Subway Station, and if you stick to the main road, there's no steep hill like some photos online might suggest.
It's right next to Seoul Forest, and you can walk to Apgujeong in about 10-15 minutes. There's also a three-story Olive Young just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, which is super convenient! While the rooms aren't huge, the soundproofing is pretty good, and the shower water pressure is absolutely fantastic!
If you stay here, definitely make sure to check out the cafe on the top floor – the views are amazing. Overall, highly recommend. (Pics 1 & 2: Hotel rooftop cafe/bar. Pics 3 & 4: Views from the room)

GGuest UserOverall, I had a good stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the facilities were nice. The location in Gangnam is very convenient, which makes it easy to get around the area.
However, the bathroom was a bit small, and the hot water was not very consistent at times. The price is slightly on the higher side, but that might be expected since the hotel is located in Gangnam.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is decent, making it convenient to get around, and the room was clean and tidy. However, the service was just average. My partner and I stayed for three nights and four days. We didn't request room cleaning during our stay because on the first day, upon check-in, we only received two small sachets of shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, and a tiny bar of soap. When we asked for more, the front desk said they would have the housekeeping staff leave them at our door, but they never did.
Another major issue is the emergency exit. The stairs on the second floor are designated as an emergency exit, but this passage is actually used to store hotel items (as shown in the picture), making it very difficult for anyone to pass through. In an emergency, like a fire, how would guests on the upper floors escape? Our room was on the second floor, directly facing these stairs, and we had to use the elevator to get around. Sometimes, we had to wait a long time for the elevator, and we couldn't even use the stairs. Emergency exits should always be kept clear and unobstructed!

GGuest UserMy evaluation of this hotel reveals that most of my dislikes stem from the design of its amenities.
First, you primarily pay for the hotel's location. It has an **excellent location** in the heart of Hongdae, surrounded by numerous restaurants, shops, and cafes.
Second, in comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed at, I would rate the service here only **3 out of 5**. One employee was particularly helpful and always cheerful with guests. Seem like it is their culture , not really friendly to tourist.
Lastly, the design of the room's amenities is quite peculiar. The bathroom is cover by a curtain, which is understandable, but the restroom is right next to it with a wall in between. This means that after using the restroom, you have to walk through the bathroom to wash your hands. Additionally, the toilet door is made of frosted glass, allowing anyone outside to see your silhouette. There are gaps in the door, making it evident that it is not soundproof at all. If you’re staying with friends, it can be really awkward to use the toilet.
Overall, the design of the toilet and bathroom is very inconvenient.

MMattyFThe room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

AAlex®Great hotel service and in middle of Myeong-dong! Do note the Uber/Taxi apps can’t set pickup point right outside the hotel entrance, you got to walk out to main street, all else is good about the location
They offer free beer and nachos or popcorn for the movie room. They went out of the way to find me birthday candles which I forgot to bring and can’t find anywhere in Myeong-dong. The room is great and cool concept except there are no windows. Late check-out is also not tolerated. Check-out after 11:10am is chargeable, I requested a-bit more time and only offered till 11:20am else charges start at 20,000KRW. No toothbrush and toothpaste as well, is sold for 6,500KRW for a pack of 2 toothbrushes and toothpaste. Bring your own!

GGuest UserIt's always a nice stay here! The location is very great, olive young is downstairs , and the subway station also downstairs, it's near the airport bus stop too! They have bidet and the toilet is scpacious, the room also spacious, you can store many luggages, they have tables and chairs too for you to eat or have some work, their receptionist lobby and all the staff also very helpful during my stay, definitely recommended, not to mention they have 24h convenient store at the 3rd floor and laundry room

As a dad from China with two children, a 9-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, this trip to Korea was to meet a long-time Korean friend. Before our formal reunion, our family of four stayed at The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul.
It was still Chinese New Year, making our family time even more precious and the trip more special.
🏨 **A Rare Find: A Room for a Family of Four**
It’s often hard to find hotels that can accommodate four people in one room these days. Most standard rooms are for 2-3 guests, meaning a family of four usually has to book two rooms or pay extra. The Designers Hotel Jongno, Seoul, allowed all four of us to stay in one room, and we were incredibly satisfied with this.
* Kids didn't have to be separated from parents.
* Parents felt more at ease.
* The travel atmosphere felt more complete.
* It was also more cost-effective.
This was especially important since our 6-year-old daughter is still quite dependent on us, so sleeping together was a big plus.
👶 **Proactive Offer of a Crib – Very Thoughtful**
During check-in, the staff proactively asked if we needed a crib. While our children are 9 and 6 and didn't need one, the fact that the hotel offered it and showed concern for family needs left a great impression on me. Any family with kids will understand how much this kind of thoughtfulness is appreciated.
🧺 **Laundry & Dryer Available, and Staff Cleaned Them First**
Traveling with two kids means laundry is almost a necessity. The hotel provided a washing machine and dryer, which was very convenient.
What touched me even more was this: when we were about to wash the kids' clothes, the staff member said that hygiene for children's clothing is very important and then proactively cleaned both the washing machine and dryer for us. This detail truly gave us peace of mind. It wasn’t just about having the facilities but also about their attentive service.
🌿 **Cheonggyecheon Stream Nearby, Perfect for Family Strolls**
The hotel is right near Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천). It’s perfect for taking the kids for a walk after dinner. Walking along to the sound of the water keeps the children engaged, and the environment feels relatively safe.
🍽 **No Worries About Kids' Meals**
There are many kid-friendly restaurants nearby, offering:

* Dumplings
My children are picky eaters, and they especially love dumplings. Luckily, there's a dumpling shop nearby, which was incredibly convenient for us.
