39kiyo32Check-in and check-out were easy, and whenever I had a question, I received a quick response, which was great. It felt like a home away from home. Many hotels in Korea don't have curtains or partitions in the shower, but this one had both a partition and a door, and was generally clean, which I appreciated. The location was convenient, close to the subway station, with many restaurants and even some trendy shops nearby, plus a popular bakery, which was a plus. However, since it's in an entertainment district, the area didn't feel particularly safe, especially at night. Also, there are a lot of smokers in Korea who often litter, so the streets are quite dirty and smelly. It's worth considering these points when deciding whether to stay here.

BasGTiny little hotel room but it was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel pyjamas were an unexpected amenity and cute. Breakfast at the rooftop bar was especially tasty, with a supply of blankets, and beautiful views that made it one of our highlights. The lobby scales to weigh our luggage also helped alot with packing for our flights. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and looked after our bags while we explored after checkout.

Sim To UiMy second time staying here but this time as a solo traveller. For the price, I think what was provided in the room was pretty good. Layout and chair could be improved to allow for people to work better in the room. Definitely the plus is its location, and its quietness as well, near the train station and lots and lots of shops around the area, inc many cafes, as this is a university area. Near to Dongdaemun and Myeongdong as well by train.

Guest UserThe room itself was decent, aside from the lack of soundproofing. The only real issue was that if you weren't careful upstairs, you'd constantly bump your head – I did it about four or five times! However, it's still pretty good value for money, given the low price.

The room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

This hotel was lovely. It's about a 12 minute walk from all the shopping in Myeongdong, and it's not a bad walk to the cable car to Namsan tower. The subway is also conviently located as well as the bus to the airport.
The staff was wonderful and super helpful. We were able to leave our luggage in the lobby after we checked out, and there's a scale to weigh your bag, too. Also, a cute rooftop deck with tables. There's a convenience store across the street, and I think it's open 24 hours. The room didn't have a microwave, so we used that one. The room does have a mini fridge and electric kettle.
Even though our room was near the elevator, it was super quiet. My only problem was it was a little too quiet. Even with the air conditioner on, there was no fan sound, so if you like white noise at night be aware. The curtains worked well. The door had two locks, and every floor and the rooftop were only accessible with your room key. Very safe. 10/10 recommend

Stayed at Myeongdong Merlin Hotel for a short transit and overall it was a good experience. The location is convenient about 15–20 minutes to Myeongdong Night Street, which is great if you want easy access to shopping and food.
We arrived quite late (around 10pm) after traveling from Busan and checked out early at 5am to head to ICN airport. Even with the short stay, everything went smoothly. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, which we really appreciated after a long journey.
We were traveling in a big group (18 people), and the hotel managed us well. Rooms were clean and facilities were sufficient for a short stay. Service was also efficient.
Overall, a solid and convenient choice especially for short stays or transit in Seoul 👍

Guest UserIt's always a nice stay here! The location is very great, olive young is downstairs , and the subway station also downstairs, it's near the airport bus stop too! They have bidet and the toilet is scpacious, the room also spacious, you can store many luggages, they have tables and chairs too for you to eat or have some work, their receptionist lobby and all the staff also very helpful during my stay, definitely recommended, not to mention they have 24h convenient store at the 3rd floor and laundry room

The room was very old. When I wanted to extend my stay, they told me that the weekend rate was over a thousand dollars. This hotel is so old and the room is so small. I didn't think it was worth it, so I stayed in another hotel. The other hotel was also cheaper and newer on weekends than theirs. The interior was also bigger and more beautiful. I think others are stupid and have a lot of money. I don't recommend it.
