LLynneMy stay started out disastrous because this is one of those self-check-in places which I cannot stand. The check-in codes and room information usually gets sent out while you are traveling and not in touch with wifi at all. Well, I am one of those people that refuse to buy a data plan, so I was stuck in the narrow alley outside and couldn't get in quickly. I arrived well after the time allowed to enter, but without wifi, data, or people there, it took a while to get in. I must have been very tired not to notice the self-check-in fact. I see it is very clearly stated actually. And I was very tired as well when I arrived there. However, the room was neat and comfortable, with wifi and everything else. I had made a two-night booking, and enjoyed my stay very much! After that rickety start. I can recommend this place to people with data plans, which is probably everyone.

QQn. ShaidaThe room has everything you need, 4-5 minutes walking distance from Samyang metro station. With this metro line, you can reach the most touristic places of the city after a few stops. There are markets and a large shopping mall around. If you like walking, there are street food stalls within a 20-minute walk in the evenings. The hotel owners are a nice, friendly couple. You can communicate with them via English Korean Google translation.

We recently stayed at a hotel in the heart of Myeong-dong, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality, clean environment, and the unbeatable location.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Myeong-dong's vibrant shopping district, making it incredibly convenient for exploring street food stalls, fashion boutiques, and beauty stores. It was a dream for any traveler who wants to be in the center of the action.
Our room was cozy, well-maintained, and surprisingly quiet despite the bustling streets below. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water, daily housekeeping, and fast Wi-Fi. The bathroom was modern and spotless, stocked with all the essentials.
What stood out the most was the service. The staff were friendly, spoke good English, and were always happy to help with directions, restaurant recommendations, or any questions we had about getting around Seoul.
If you're planning a trip to Seoul and want to stay somewhere that combines comfort, convenience, and great value, we highly recommend staying in Myeong-dong. It’s perfect for first-time visitors and anyone who wants to experience the city’s energy right outside their door.

GGuest UserThe room was decent. It's a bit of a walk to the subway stations, but they are easy enough to find. To catch Line 6, exit and turn right, then walk straight. For Line 1, turn left and walk straight, though it's a bit further away! Otherwise, everything was fine. The main selling point is the affordable price, which makes any minor issues completely negligible.

AAjasan zamI recently had the pleasure of staying at Cave Myeongdong for six nights. From the moment i checked in, the staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met throughout my stay. The location was perfect for my needs, situated in a central area with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. Whether i wanted to explore local shops, dine at nearby Halal restaurants, or visit popular tourist spots, everything was within a short distance.

Plus points:
1) Value for money, no frills, simple breakfast included
2) Excellent location by DDM History & Culture Park Station, Bus Stops and short walk after you alight from Airport Bus 6001 alighting at Toyoko Inn
3) Near to DDP and DDM shopping area, food options, and convenient stores nearby
4) Able to store luggage
5) Water cooler on every floor for hot and cold water
6) Aircon is great during summer!
7) Elevators! (though a little slow at times)
8) They provided towels and shower toiletries
9) Faces main road not along alleyways, keycard access, main entrance and lifts have to be operated by keycards after 11pm, so pretty secured imo
10) There's a small fridge in the room, and I believe you can use the common kitchen to cook or reheat simple meals if you want to.
Points to note (not exactly negatives, dependent on tolerance levels):
1) Cleanliness, overall ok, but I don't think they clean the corners and under the beds
2) Old linen, sheets
3) Very old building, tiles cracking along the hallway, definitely in need of better maintenance
4) The shower is connected to the sink, which means no separation of toilet and shower. Everything will get wet if you are not careful
5) Small space, but manageable imo, we were able to fit and pack 2 x 24” luggages in the twin room.
6) Wash your own dishes after having your breakfast, not an issue for us, though
Overall, it's an old, budget, no frills guesthouse. Will recommend it for short stays, and I would return if I am travelling alone for the price point.

GGuest UserThere are mixed reviews by other travelers for this place. Personally I would say my 3 nights here have been pleasant and enjoyable. The staff went out of the way to clean my room first to enable check-in upon my unannounced super early arrival. There was a large window in my room giving a panoramic view of the vicinity. The air-conditioner functioned well. The room was clean and I didn’t have any issues with the provided bedding. My room did not come with a private bathroom so no molding concerns and the shared bathroom/toilet was clean and not piled with garbage as one might experience in other hostels. I did not have to line up for my turn for the bathroom at all during my stay, probably because the people here stay for a longer term and thus did not all hit the bathroom at times day travelers would. I noticed the members of staff washing/hang-drying the used towels and the comforters of guests who have checked out every day. There was a water dispenser for hot and cold water in the kitchen, which was convenient. The fridge was stuffed with food but that wasn’t a concern for me as I put beverages and snacks in the mini fridge in my room. I did some simple cooking (instant noodles) and found the cooking utensils, stove and sink to be well maintained.

LLemonade_The Location was really nice, 5 min walk to the subway station and there were lots of food in and around the area. The only thing about the location is that walking at night it’s kinda sketchy, but generally alright if you don’t linger.
Service was great for the price. When I checked out, the person manning the service department that day helped me carry my luggage down and also gave me a free drink. They gave me an extra blanket when I asked for it and were generally really nice and helpful.
They have free wifi, free water and free paper cups and coffee bags. They also have free drinks in the fridge as well, though I didn’t drink any. They have a hair dryer in the room, a water boiler, shampoo and soap as well as face cream and vanity mirror for the room I stayed in. Generally pretty good. The only complaint would be that they don’t have an elevator, which I didn’t mind because I only had a hand carry and a back pack, but for those that are coming with heavier luggage, you will need to lug it up the stairs.
Not exactly the cleanest of places, but it was clean enough. The furnitures aren’t new but they are clean and usable. The floor is clean. The bathroom however does have stains and isn’t exactly pleasant but for the price you pay, decent and usable.
Generally speaking, a great place to stay for the price. Not the best quality, but over my expectations and definitely alright if you’re just looking for a place to clean up and sleep. I’d definitely book it again for a short get away.
