Impressive entrance with a short walk to anything you might want/need in Hanoi. Check-in was a breeze when we arrived mid-afternoon. The lobby on Level 1 and restaurant on level 2 are opulent and well-served with competent and English fluent staff. The room I had was well presented, very clean and well-serviced. Great pillows!! Small, but functional bathroom with a great two-way shower. Money can be exchanged at reception at around market rate. The breakfast on level 2 has something for everyone. Vietnamese, western and excellent pastries. Fresh fruit and a great noodle bar. The wait staff and chefs are expert and can create pretty much anything on request. The room service menu is spartan but reasonably priced and well presented and delivered hot. Pasta, pizza, burgers and (of course) Pho. For those not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, fasten your seatbelt before trying. This beverage will wake the deepest sleeper in seconds. Concierge services are effective and non-intrusive. There is a mini-supermarket about 100 metres from the front door where you can find that razor you forgot amongst other necessities. This hotel is brilliantly located near the lake, which is a great location for a stroll. Within a five minute walk you can find pretty much anything that you can think of. There is a roof top bar and pool on level 10 and, to be honest, this was a little disappointing. The pool works, but the surrounds are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. Not a showstopper by any means. The lifts work, the electricity is 100% available and the wifi is fast and consistent. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. If you want to outsource laundry, there are several services available close by for USD$1.50 per kilo. My team of 3 stayed here for 12 days and very much enjoyed the facilities and hospitality. I would stay here again any day of the week!!

La Siesta Classic Hang Thung

Hoan Kiem District Hanoi|0.69km from Mido spa
I recently stayed at La Siesta Classic Hang Thung for one night, and honestly, it wasn't enough! Hotel Property: 1. The hotel's location is great. It's right in the middle of Hanoi's Old Quarter, so you can easily walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy the lively atmosphere. 2. What's cool is that the hotel is only two months old and it looks amazing. The rooms are a good size, and the modern design is Instagram-worthy. It's pretty impressive they even squeezed in a pool in the middle of the tight Old Quarter spaces. Service 1. We got to the hotel really early from Sapa, and our rooms weren't ready, but Mr. VP at the front desk was super nice. He went out of his way to arrange a shower for us. It was a real help to get us cleaned up from the long train ride. 2. I accidentally booked a room for 3 persons when there was only 2 of us. Mr.VP immediately noticed it and upgraded us to a junior suite without us knowing. That was a pleasant surprise and definitely made our day. The Not-So-Great Stuff: There were a couple of small issues that could have made the overall experience even better. 1. We asked for more water and ice around 9 pm, but they never brought it. Eventually, we went out and buy water, and reminded the front desk to send some ice to the room. But even after reminding the front desk personally, no ice came all night. 2. Food at breakfast was good, but the service could he better. When we wanted to sit by the window, the server insisted that we sit at another table. She rolled her eyes at me when I told her that we prefer to sit by the window. She then cleared our table quite unwillingly. She just changed the cutlery but did not replace the used placemats. We didn't bother her after that as she seemed annoyed. But despite these minor hiccups, I'd definitely recommend La Siesta Classic Hang Thung to anyone looking for a great stay in Hanoi. It's a lovely place with pretty and clean rooms and lovely front desk staff.

Little Hanoi Deluxe Hotel

Hoan Kiem District
It is situated in the very heart of the Old Town with easy walking distance to pretty much everything on the tourist attraction list. It's also opposite the Hanoi cafe ( same ownership) where we ate dinner every night and lunch a couple of times. Rooms are kept very clean and breakfast is cooked to order and I had the best omelette ever. Think French bijou hotel and you have it. Clearly passionate about customer satisfaction.

Reception were very friendly and helped to book my taxis (cheaper than getting a Grab taxi). The room itself was very clean and housekeeping were attentive and cleared out bins etc everyday. The location is also very good - near old town area and great to visit by going around the lake.

We booked for 3 nights but had to check out after just 1 as we just didn't feel safe there. The hotel was storing its laundry outside our room on the 5th floor landing creating a fire hazard. All stairs/landings etc should be free from objects at all times, especially flammable objects. The laundry was partially blocking our fire exit (the stairs) and completely covered the fire extinguishers. Fire risk all around. We did raise this as a concern and ask for a different room. We did get offered another room lower down but not till the 3rd night. We just felt unsafe sleeping there. So decided to move out, even though this meant paying for the second night. Also the hotel looks nothing like as lovely as the photos, I know its a budget hotel but I can't see how people keep saying its ”exceptional” on these reviews. The rooms are tired looking, feel a bit grubby, the double we had was small and the bathroom grouting was black and the shower had no power to the flow. The window felt like it was going to fall out when we opened it and door handle felt loose and unsecure. We just didn't feel like we could relax in the room, as all felt a bit manky. On a positive note: well located (but so many hotels in the area so not a real reason to choose it) and staff nice.

Stayed here for the first 3 nights of our Vietnam holiday. So pleased when we pulled up on the first day, although in a busy part of town, first impressions were good A great greeting, easy to sign in and found they had upgraded our two rooms to suites! It would appear that there is only one per floor so we had our rooms on two different floors, but since we were only travelling with our 18 year old son that was not a problem. The rooms are great, and the staff are very friendly. There is a great international breakfast choice. We did not try the restaurant of an evening, but what we saw looked good. There is a small alcohol selection available in part of the restaurant which I assume also functions as a bar but we never really tried that either. It is located on the western edge of the Old Quarter and we walked from the hotel all around it and around the Sword Lake, so very well located for tourists. Overall though very satisfied. It is great value for money in our experience and we would definitely recommend.

I've been to various hostels in Hanoi and this is the best. At the beginning of 20,000 won, the room was very spacious and I only stayed for one night. I asked if it was possible to just take a shower after paying for it, and when I turned back, I said just do it. I was very satisfied. If I come to Hanoi next time, I will go here again.

Anna 💕 ANNA's response was really good. I spoke a little English, and it was so cute and kind that it was great ☺️ Please let me know when you stay in Vietnam again♪ He tried hard to tell us that he only understood Japanese, and he was worried about the taxi for pick-up and drop-off, and the hotel was beautiful ✨ The breakfast was delicious!
