Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort

We arrived late to a friendly and warm welcome. The golf - shuttle buggy was a quick ride to our room from reception. Clean well equipped room -with a small balcony with airer to dry clothes, 2 chairs and table to relax too(room 619), just what we needed for 11 days in the sun. The food options are great but for 11days, I’d recommend local restaurants as you’d quickly get bored. However the a la carte options are excellent and worth it 10/10, and the food is tasty with plenty on offer. The bars are friendly and busy, The beach is a short distance and great break from the heat by the pool. The Aqua park is excellent and part of the extended complex. Again well organised and what you would expect. Food 10/10 but take plenty of sun cream and get ready for very hot weather! Insect repellent is a must. The only down side is the hotel underground toilets! “Disgusting ” and we had to go back and forth to the room. BUT We’ve had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel. We organised a private transfer and took 30mins.!

Amazing hotel for family. A lot of swimming pools scattered in the hotel area. superb water park suitable for all ages and great staff. The hotel has a lot of activities for all ages, equipped kids club , excellent spa anf more facilities. Highly recommend.

The hotel was good as we came 4 families with children (5-8 yrs old), but I am not sure if I would returned there What is great about the hotel: - great and large pools - nice and well maintained shared areas - great ala carte restaurants (especially Asia and the seaside one) - amazing aquapark (both for kids and adults) - good drinks and bar service What was not working for us: - the room we got was very dated, 3 stars hotel level - the noise at night from the next hotel (Stella Island) was terrible- every night I felt like on the disco as rooms were not soundproof and the music was very loud till 23.30-24.00. Our son couldn’t sleep and we couldn’t rest as well. If you stay at the hotel please ask for a room on the other site of the hotel- our friends there haven’t heard the music. As hotel was fully booked they couldn’t change us the room. They send us small gift (wine & fruit) and provided free of charge late check out which was nice, but didn’t solve the problem of lack of sleep during entire week. - not big choice for breakfast in both buffet restaurants, lunch and dinner were ok.

We stayed her for a night (2 days) when travelling from the other side of the island. It’s a really lovely hotel that overall feels clean and contemporary and perfect for families with kids. We would probably stay for a full week in the future. Staff were lovely and friendly and children’s entertainment was great. Our daughter didn’t want to leave. The food was lovely at the buffet. Lots of choice and something for everyone. Replenished constantly we never experienced that much queuing. The alcoholic drinks around the pool bars were great. Mojitos were up there with the best I’ve had. Staff were super friendly too. The waterpark was good albeit quite busy. The ice creams at the waterpark were great too. There were a few things that let it down marginally for us (albeit not enough to put us off coming back). In our room, our balcony door didn’t lock and the toilet window didn’t shut but everything else was great in the room. Room 536 if management want to get someone to come out and take a look at it. The only other thing I would suggest would be sanitiser stations (or even a few bottles) around the resort. (They might have had some but we didn’t notice any in the buffet and food service areas). Whilst the buffet area did feel really clean so I can’t fault it in that sense, there were a lot of people coughing and using the same utensils. I think post pandemic a lot of places have relaxed on this but it just makes a buffet area feel more hygienic in my opinion.

We had a fantastic time at Stella palace. Staff were brilliant, the all inclusive food was lovely and so were the restaurants that you could you once in each if staying for 7 days. The whole place was lovely and clean. Staff were lovely and friendly. The water park was a massive hit, and all the other pools were great. All in all we had a wonderful family holiday!

Let me tell you about this amazing hotel ! We have been traveling with my friend for a week in Crete, 7 different hotels, 7 different nights. The only one night we enjoyed and will remember in term of Hospitality 5 stars was here at Stella Palace Aqua Park. We received the best experience ever in term of the check in process, the warm welcoming staff at the desk by Damir, at the door and on the wheel by Manos, in the rooms by all housekeepers making it happen for an early check in, at the restaurant by Ladislav, Kostas, Maria and their colleagues, at the bar by Konstantinos and at the pool by Ian and June and in term of amenities we made a travel back to the future in childhood also having access to the Aqua Park, really fun activity. This place, if I had kids to bring, is the best on the island... The restaurants are amazing, the food it offers is really fresh and savory, you must try the Umami experience fine Japanese fusion cuisine, Nikkei rolls, Slow cook salmon, the rack of lamb revisited, the crème brulée, the matcha cheese cake... I travelled the world and many islands in Greece. I was a bit disappointed during my week, the weakness of this island is the quality of the hotels but if you choose the Stella Hotels Collection, Aqua Park or the Island adults only that we visited, trust me the only reason, I would come back to this island next year is 90% due to the quality of my last night of holidays at the Stella Hotel Collection. It is because I was disappointed by other properties that this Night here was the key to make me come back in Crete and want to discover more !!!!!
