Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!

The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is comfortable, the hygiene is very clean, the large TV screen is very smooth, and the view outside the window is also good. It's extremely convenient to eat around. There are many restaurants nearby downstairs and the price is very good. It is very close to the attractions and the city wall. There is a parking lot, which is very suitable for friends traveling by car. The bathroom has a shower room with plenty of water and complete bathroom supplies. The service was very good and enthusiastic, and the restaurants introduced to us were delicious.

We are Malaysians. It is our first time to come to Datong and we are unfamiliar with life. Mr. Yang, Mr. Wang and the two girls at the hotel took great care of us. They helped us reserve tickets for scenic spots, and also found drivers to take us around the route we designed, even as far as Yanmen Pass. Because we are Hui people, they also specially prepared a halal breakfast for us, which was really a very considerate trip. On the last night in the hotel, my wife and two sons gave me a massage as a reward to thank Benben’s father for planning such a wonderful trip. I left the hotel with a lot of reluctance...

He took the initiative to contact us before check-in and informed us of the route and surrounding tips in detail. When we arrived, he personally greeted us at the door, helped us carry our luggage upstairs, and introduced the local characteristics and hidden attractions along the way like a friend. The next morning, she personally cooked a hot breakfast for us and even planned our transportation. She truly met our every request! The B&B environment is impeccable! The room is clean and tidy, the decoration style is warm and tasteful, and the bedding is so soft that it feels like sleeping on a cloud. The most surprising thing is the small garden in the yard, which is surrounded by green plants and has a swing chair. It is very healing to sit and watch the stars at night. The bathroom is fully equipped with supplies, even moisturizing body lotion is thoughtfully prepared, perfect details! Living here is like living at home. Datong was unexpectedly clean and the homestay was very beautiful. I am very fortunate to choose it, not the B&B area of the north gate. On the first floor, each room has a separate yard. The location is very good, about 800 meters away, you can go to the city wall, and then walk to Shanhua Temple. The boss is very good, will introduce the local attractions enthusiastically, and can hear in words that I love my hometown very much. The only regret is that the bathroom in this room is relatively small.
