Not only did he check me in quickly, he also introduced me to Datong's attractions and food. It felt like meeting a long-lost friend. The room we stayed in was very cozy, with warm lighting and simple yet stylish furniture, making people feel particularly relaxed. The bedding is soft and comfortable. Lying on it feels like being gently wrapped by clouds, and the fatigue from a day's work disappears instantly. There is also a small balcony in the room. Through the window you can see the streets of the ancient city. Red lanterns are lit at night, creating an antique feel and a special atmosphere. The public area of ​​the homestay is also very distinctive, with a spacious courtyard. Although the green plants in the courtyard lack vitality in early spring, the red lanterns under the eaves give it a unique charm. You can bask in the sun here during the day, and chat with other guests at night and share interesting stories from your trip. During the few days I spent at Huazhu Yunzhou Taihe B&B, I not only had a warm and comfortable ”home”, but also felt more deeply the charm of the city of Datong. Advantages: The room is big enough, the shower is dry and wet, the bedding is comfortable, and the heating is sufficient. Very quiet during the stay. There is a bath center next door. Disadvantages: The shower has weak water output, slow drainage, and no elevator upstairs in the hotel.

This hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though. Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

這地方真不賴，乾淨衞生還很有山西古建築特色，位於古城北面，遠離鬧市但是離中心又不遠，停車免費還很寬敞，房間挺豪華的，有投影，孩子可喜歡了，躺在床上看電視就像單獨的電影院，衞生間也很乾凈，還是智能馬桶，性價比真高！
