"Stepping into the room, I was instantly wowed by the seamless blend of technology and aesthetic design! The in-room smart voice control was incredibly responsive. The bedding felt like sleeping on clouds, and the separate wet/dry bathroom design was absolutely perfect. Every detail exuded a light luxury vibe; staying here felt like a top-tier reward for both body and mind~ 🌟 The location is super convenient, close to everything. It was easy to get to popular foodie spots and explore the ancient city's attractions. The hotel service was also excellent; they helped with luggage storage, and there was even traditional clothing available for a fun experience!"

GGuest UserThis is the third time my family and I have visited Datong. The first two times we stayed in hotels, but this time we wanted to try a guesthouse. After checking reviews on Dazhong Dianping, we chose Bo.Yuan Guesthouse (Huayan Temple Branch) because of the traveler comments and its 4.9 high rating. The experience was excellent, so I wanted to share my review. The day before our trip, the guesthouse manager proactively called us to discuss our itinerary in Datong and our mode of transportation. She also offered a pick-up service, so we provided our travel details. Before we arrived at Datong South Station, a lady called to confirm the pick-up time and location, and informed us of her arrival time. When we got to the waiting area, we waited for about two minutes. The guesthouse lady called again, repeatedly apologizing for being two minutes late. She reconfirmed our waiting spot and described what she was wearing so we wouldn't miss her. When we met her, she didn't look like a typical pick-up driver, but rather a very elegant and young lady. She greeted my family and me warmly, saying, ”I'm so sorry for being two minutes late. The hotel is quite busy today, and the regular pick-up driver couldn't make it. After they told me, I rushed over to pick you up myself. Our hotel values integrity, and since we promised a pick-up service, even if there was no available car, I couldn't use a ride-hailing app. So, I truly apologize for being a few minutes late.” From this conversation, we learned that she was the female owner of the guesthouse. Throughout the journey, she was very talkative and friendly, making us feel completely at ease. She introduced us to the guesthouse and the unique features of Datong, and soon we arrived at the guesthouse. We chatted a lot with her during the short half-hour drive—perhaps it was fate. **1. Guesthouse Environment and Service:** Upon arriving at the guesthouse courtyard, we found it to be a very distinctive Siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard). The staff were all very enthusiastic, proactively helping us with our luggage and offering us tea. Since we arrived before check-in time, our room was still being cleaned. To minimize our waiting time, the owner personally urged the cleaning staff to finish quickly. She also used the waiting time to introduce us to the guesthouse's room features and restaurant. Once the room was ready, our room was on the second floor. The staff proactively helped us take our luggage up and turned on the air conditioning. Inside the room, it felt wonderful. Although the room retained the ancient charm of a Siheyuan, the infrastructure was very modern and high-tech, featuring central air conditioning, button-controlled panels, a projector instead of a TV, and an electric toilet. The hotel amenities also catered thoughtfully to modern women, such as essential oils in the toiletries, and provided toilet seat covers, disinfectant wipes, and wet wipes. Additionally, the welcome fruit quality was excellent; the owner mentioned she personally selected and purchased everything herself. The room was very quiet. I usually have trouble sleeping, but this time, I didn't experience insomnia due to changing locations. Instead, I slept exceptionally well because of the tranquil courtyard. **2. Guesthouse Breakfast:** From the room to the restaurant, every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly. In the restaurant, the staff proactively introduced the breakfast options and asked if we needed any help. The breakfast selection was very rich, combining Western and Chinese dishes to satisfy every guest's palate. There was vegetable salad, fruit platters, coffee, milk, yogurt, sausages, grilled chicken wings, stir-fried baby cabbage, bread, sweet potatoes, corn, purple rice paste, knife-cut noodles, wontons, and dumplings. The ingredients for these dishes were all personally selected and purchased by the owner, ensuring their freshness. All dishes were freshly prepared by the chef and tasted excellent. Although the restaurant might not be as large or offer as many varieties as four or five-star hotels, the quality of ingredients and taste were certainly on par with their culinary standards. Escaping the hustle and bustle of the big city for a weekend in Datong, our short two-day trip is coming to an end. The cultural heritage of Datong, its unique cuisine, and our stay at Bo.Yuan Guesthouse have all left a wonderful impression on me. Next time I visit Datong, I will definitely choose Bo.Yuan Guesthouse again. I wish the owner great success in her business! See you next time, Datong!

GGuest UserI highly recommend Huazhu Lan Zhu Ting. The environment is lovely, offering a peaceful escape while still being centrally located. It's within a ten-minute walk of many attractions and incredibly convenient for transportation. The Datong scenic shuttle bus station and the ancient city entrance are less than a ten-minute walk away. The breakfast served at the hotel is also exquisite. The staff are wonderful, both beautiful and kind-hearted, providing excellent service. The day before my arrival, the front desk contacted me regarding airport pick-up and informed me about the weather. The pick-up driver, and especially the manager Wang Xiaowei, were incredibly attentive and made me feel very welcome. (On my first morning, I had to catch a scenic shuttle bus, and the manager, worried I wouldn't find the station, took the time to drive us there. When we checked out, he was concerned about our heavy luggage and specially came to help us carry it. My heartfelt thanks again!) My trip to Datong was unfortunately rushed, but on my next visit, I'll definitely choose Huazhu Lan Zhu Ting again.

GGuest UserAs a solo traveler, I was a little apprehensive before my trip, secretly hoping there wouldn't be any unpleasant surprises, but it turns out I worried too much. This place boasts an excellent location in Wulong Alley, with beautiful surroundings that are safe and comfortable, and fully equipped facilities. Because it's not right next to the busiest snack streets, it's very quiet at night, allowing for a truly restful sleep – huge thumbs up! It's close to the North City Wall and convenient for visiting attractions like Huayan Temple, Daiwangfu, and the Nine Dragon Screen in the ancient city. It was also easy to reach all the eateries on my must-try list, such as Longjuxiang, Zini 369, Heshengcai, and Xijindao Snacks, and I managed to check them all off! I passed by Kuixing Tower and its wishing doll countless times; perhaps it was fate, haha 😄. For those who are too lazy to even walk a kilometer, there are shared bikes available. The owner is incredibly welcoming; they contacted me half a day in advance, added me on WeChat, and waited for me at the entrance. They went over all the important details and even asked about my breakfast preferences for the next day. The breakfast itself was perfectly portioned, exquisite, and nutritious. This place exceeded my expectations, another big thumbs up! Choosing this accommodation has made me even more excited for future solo travels. I hope the owner's business thrives, and I look forward to returning with my child and family sometime in the future for another visit.

GGuest UserThanks to Nanshe, our trip to Datong was incredibly enjoyable and pleasant, offering a sense of security just like home. The guesthouse is located inside the ancient Datong city wall, which is an excellent location, making it very convenient to visit famous attractions and long-standing restaurants, all within walking distance. The room was clean, tidy, and well-arranged—small yet cozy. We even had foreign guests in the room opposite ours 😉. The two housekeeper sisters provided attentive and responsive service, always ready to offer advice. On our first day, they recommended the nearby Dongfang Xiaomian restaurant, a local favorite for sliced noodles; you can't go wrong with anything you order there! 😁 On our second day in Datong, we experienced a sandstorm, a rare experience for someone from the coast. We stayed at Nanshe for three days, and because of Nanshe, I fell in love with Datong.

GGuest UserFacilities: The design is excellent, and all the amenities are thoughtfully arranged and very practical. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable; lying down felt so therapeutic, and I fell asleep almost instantly. Hygiene: The hygiene was impeccable. Environment: The location is perfect, within walking distance of Daiwang Mansion, Drum Tower, and Huayan Temple. After watching the iron flower performance at night, it was just a short stroll back to bed. Service: The service was incredibly attentive and prompt. The butler recommended many delicious local eateries, and they were all indeed fantastic. The tea at the front desk was also delightful; I'd fill my thermos every time I went out – it was so comforting. They even offered a thoughtful bedtime gift, making the overall experience incredibly pleasant.

1118942****On this trip, after leaving my job, I've stayed in many places, but Datong was the most surprising city. It's full of historical sites, delicious food, and a vibrant, down-to-earth atmosphere. But what surprised me even more was the guesthouse I chose. I did extensive research and ultimately decided to stay within the ancient city, which turned out to be incredibly convenient for dining, lodging, and getting around. It was fantastic and perfectly suited me. Initially, I considered guesthouses in the Southeast District, but they were all new, and their styles were quite similar and unremarkable, much like guesthouses in other cities. So, I picked one with unique traditional Chinese characteristics, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was exactly to my liking – nutritious and light. The room was warm and cozy, and the toiletry kit was amazing, with thoughtful items inside. Even though it's been in the ancient city for ten years, the decor and renovation show no sign of age; it's incredibly well-maintained. The housekeeper mentioned they had just upgraded all the rooms before my arrival, haha! 😄 This guesthouse truly helped my restless mind calm down. It felt like staying in a museum. The aunties and housekeepers working here told me stories about every single object and corner, which deeply moved me. This is what a guesthouse should be – unpretentious and full of stories. The biggest surprise this time was having the chance to meet the owner, a wonderful lady. She was so nice, I initially thought she was just another staff member; she had absolutely no airs. More importantly, her experiences and background are incredible – she does extreme sports and has even climbed Mount Everest! Talking with her made me feel so comfortable and helped me let go of a lot of things. Thank you for the encounter; it was truly destiny. This was the most unexpected gain from my trip to Datong, and I will definitely go back if I get the chance! It felt just like home, with no sense of unfamiliarity whatsoever.

QQingzhebabaThe hotel's location is superb; it's the perfect choice for exploring the old city, with all the sights and great food nearby. The hotel is very clean, the restaurant food is delicious, and the staff provide excellent service. As I was traveling alone and wanted to try local specialties, the staff kindly reduced the portion sizes, which was great – tasty and no waste! The room facilities are new, but there's a minor issue: the sink and shower are in separate areas, and the bath towels are kept under the sink. This makes it inconvenient to grab a towel after showering. If you take it into the shower beforehand, there's nowhere to hang it. Perhaps a hook could be added?

__WeChat375008****This guesthouse is located right inside the ancient city, which is a great spot. It's really close to the city walls and Kuidxng Tower, and you can walk to Huayan Temple in about ten minutes – super convenient. They have underground parking with charging stations too. The decor is very tasteful, and since it gets quite dry in winter, every room has a humidifier. The pear soup at the front desk was especially delicious. The breakfast spread is quite good, all homemade by the hostess, especially the knife-cut noodles – they're just as good as any noodle shop outside, absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back next year if I get the chance!
