GGuest UserLocated right in the heart of the ancient city, this hotel is a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The room was spotless and exceptionally well-appointed, featuring premium toiletries, an electric toothbrush, a Dyson hairdryer, and even a smart toilet. The entire courtyard is incredibly charming, offering a true taste of traditional Shanxi architecture. Breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight, and even when it poured rain on the second morning, we enjoyed a unique experience having breakfast under an umbrella. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and approachable; we could even communicate with them easily via WeChat.
My only minor point of feedback is that the duvet felt a bit too thick for summer; we were still quite warm and sweating even with the air conditioning on. However, this might just be a personal preference. Overall, this place is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Datong who's looking for a unique and memorable accommodation experience.

When we arrived, there was a little bit of confusion, as Trip seemed to have cancelled our reservation, but the host was super nice and upgraded us for free to another room, which was even better. Nice night views, perfect to walk to the ancient city, calm but lots of restaurants around. We will definitely come back!

MM40994****We were very lucky to stay in this inn on this trip. The owner was very welcoming and even added me on WeChat, introducing all the food, accommodation and entertainment options in great detail. The inn is also very clean. Every day when I come back from going out, the room is cleaned and the supplies are neatly arranged. The location of the inn is excellent. Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple are very close and can be reached on foot. The Dai Palace and the Nine Dragon Wall are not far away, which saves a lot of time and transportation costs. Opposite the inn is the internet-famous knife-cut noodles Xijindao, which tastes great! In addition, Zini 369, Longjuxiang and Fenglin Pavilion, which is said to have invested hundreds of millions of yuan in its renovation, are all nearby. This stay experience is very good, I will choose this place next time I come here!

GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

AAnonymous UserSatisfied, the location is very good. When you go out, turn left and you will see Huayan Temple. Turn right and you will see Fahua Temple, Nine Dragon Wall, and Prince Dai's Mansion. The price is also quite suitable. The service is warm and the hygiene is very good.

AAnonymous UserThe sanitation is generally not very careful. The toilet was not cleaned when I first checked in. There was a suspected ** on the sheets. 😩 I asked the aunt to clean it again. The breakfast arrangement was not careful. The location was relatively remote. The advantage was that it was close to the airport high-speed rail station, but it was not very good. Take a taxi, But it's not expensive to take a fast train in Datong.
