The room is relatively clean, there is no strange smell, and the overall environment is quite good. The soundproofing may be poor, but holiday hotels are hard to find. There is a park opposite the hotel, not far from the ancient city, just a few minutes' taxi ride away. There is a paid parking lot next to it. It's quite big, but it's enclosed and easy to miss. I took a picture of the parking lot.

XXiarenpaodanYunzhong Inn is the hotel that impressed me the most and left the best impression on me during this trip to Shanxi... The hotel is located in the center of Datong Ancient City. The staff waited for us in the parking lot at the scheduled time. When we arrived at the hotel, we were busy checking in. When we got to the room, they introduced various facilities... It was so warm and homely. The hotel's atrium design is unique, and the well-preserved and very old door makes us feel the collision of history and modernity. It seems like we have traveled through time here! The layout of the room is also unique, with gorgeous patterns on the roof, red sandalwood Ruyi placed in the room, and trash cans that look like stools, etc., all of which give people a different visual experience. It's a pity that due to the schedule, we checked in and left less than 24 hours this time!! There are still many places that we haven't been to deeply experience - for example, it has a sun room like a botanical garden, a cigar bar and a tea room, etc.... Although the time was short, it was the most impressive. I look forward to staying at their home next time I visit Datong!

Liked the corner stall near to Museum ( a few units away), noodle w clear soup & chicken shreds, which was not heavily laden w chilly oil. Good restaurant food at ” 3 Dish Menu”. Commendation: The lady boss was extremely attentive & warm. Help us with reliable transportation arrangements to Wooden pagoda, Hanging monastry & Yungang Grottoes. Appreciated her help - booking tickets to a cultural show & going the extra miles to fetch us back in the rain.

If you say the reason for coming to Datong again, this homestay accounts for more than half of the reason. The children don’t want to go out every day, just like staying in the homestay. The most worth mentioning is the hotel’s pick-up service, which can arrange cost-effective chartered car services. There are many drivers, and they are good at geographical location, scenic environment, and historical culture. They took fewer detours and avoided many pitfalls. It is strongly recommended to charter a car to save worry and safety and ensure the travel experience. Come again in August

HHOWEIMINGThe biggest advantage of this store is of course its location, as it is located in the ancient city’s bell tower scenic area. When I arrived at the ancient city of Datong, I saw customers queuing up next to the hotel waiting for their number to be called at the internet-famous noodle shop ”Xijindao”, as well as the high-decibel noise of the surrounding shops using loudspeakers to attract customers. I suddenly felt a chill in my heart, and worried that I would not be able to sleep well in the next few days. Unexpectedly, after moving in, although the windows faced the downtown, the noise could not be heard as long as the windows were closed. The soundproof windows had a very high coefficient. I felt relieved immediately (in fact, the noise from the crowds died down after 9:30 pm). The sound insulation between the room next door is not very good, if the other party speaks loudly, we will hear it. Maybe the partitions in the old house can’t completely block it off!
The store's service attitude is super good and super friendly. Because I was traveling alone, I originally booked the smallest room online, but the hotel took the initiative to upgrade me to a larger room. I am very grateful. Moreover, the staff at the counter are very friendly to the customers, just like the older brothers and sisters next door, and their enthusiasm is not at all pretentious. The facilities in the room are also very clean and generous, with great attention to detail. There is also a washing machine available on the first floor. At this price, it is very good.
The downside for me is that there is no breakfast which is a little annoying. The restaurants nearby are all popular online restaurants in tourist attractions. The earliest one to open is ”Xijindao” at 7 o'clock, but it is not good to eat knife-cut noodles every day. It is difficult to have porridge, steamed buns, etc. for breakfast, as you have to walk to a residential area far away. Also, there is no larger supermarket nearby, so if you want to buy some fruit you have to go outside the scenic area.
But this is a good thing but it cannot be fully enjoyed. After all, being able to take a walk in front of the Huayan Temple every morning or take a look at the tranquility and leisure of the Grand Mosque next to it are all worth it.

GGuest UserVery good location in the heart of Datong's old town, in a restored complex of traditional houses. The breakfast (traditional Chinese) was very good, although it doesn't include coffee or tea. The staff doesn't speak any English, but they are very friendly and prepared breakfast very early one day so we could leave early. The room is large and comfortable, the mattress a bit firm, and the towels are disposable (that was the only detail we didn't like, as they don't dry completely and are not very sustainable). Otherwise, it's a highly recommended accommodation!

GGuest UserIt is very convenient to stay together as a family. The location of this hotel is amazing. The center of Datong is the ancient city, and the center of the ancient city is his home. My family likes the decoration style of the room and the hotel very much, and we look at them repeatedly every day when we go in and out. The room is fully equipped and clean, with plenty of hot water and an automatic toilet seat. The boss was also very nice, I don't know if they were father and son, he was very welcoming and gave us a gift before checking out, which was a big surprise for us. If I come to Datong again, I will choose to live here

ZZhudiziOverall it's OK, the location is very good, the decoration is OK, the service attitude of the lady at the front desk is very friendly, but the overall infrastructure has some problems and I hope it can be improved. One is that the curtain in the shower room cannot be closed because it is a screen. It can be seen clearly from the outside. I have to leave the bathroom door open these days and then make a self-made block before I dare to take a shower and go to the bathroom. The second is that the shower is not connected to the electricity. The problem is, I feel a slight electric current when I touch the shower switch. I have to unplug the power before I dare to take a shower.

GGuest UserI went to Datong Ancient Town during the May Day holiday. The room in this inn was clean and had no odor. I liked the small sofa next to the bed. The boss was very considerate in providing disposable towels and bath towels, and there was plenty of hot water. Parking is also convenient, not far from the inn, only a five-minute walk away. The location of the inn is very good. It is right next to the clock tower of the ancient city. It is convenient to go anywhere. There are many small restaurants downstairs, which is also convenient for eating.
The landlady was very enthusiastic and we had a great time chatting. I like your dog the most. I will come to your house next time to play (๑°3°๑)
