Homestays in Naples

Bang in the heart of not just the charming old centre but right on the block where the street partying takes place till the early mornings of the weekends. But no noise pollution due to the small boutique hotel being on the (very high!) fourth floor of the old building that has its entrance in the courtyard off the street. We traveled with our two sons (17 and 10) and it worked but wouldn’t stay with our younger daughters there due to the unconventionality of the accommodation: No public areas or services, just straight up rooms (only six of them all in the one corridor off the reception) which are fitted in modern and marbled design. Room no 3 is spacious with a nice four poster bed, no 1 is less so but both still had room for a bidet in the all tiled bathrooms which has an LED light feature in the shower! Both also have a French balcony: from room 3 you can view the Vesuvius Mountain. Theres a price listed minibar and my husband really liked the mattress Reception is not 24h but communication was very good and personal through WhatsApp. I was looking forward to the roof terrace but it was bare and unused serving merely as a panorama lookout point. Not to worry, the most important thing for us was that the hotel was clean and had some form of luxury for the night we stayed in Napoli!

We booked feeling a little nervous as we read the various reviews but also hesitated with little experience of a B&B Guest house. There seemed very few choices in Naples ( Chiaia district) a prime , safer area ; to have a suite with some kitchenette and a very reasonable price. We were warmly welcomed to our studio suite, spacious , well organised with a lot of thought in the location of design of fixtures and furniture; seating to take breakfast, working desk and or relax on the sofa. Brightly lit room with big “can open” sound proof windows or option to use the air conditioning system . Views of the nearby residential apar**ents actually helped us feel at home ( even though we were not able to enjoy the Naples sea view) Bed, mattress , linen and pillows were fine ( for those who require more specific finer finishes should not go to a Guest house) Bathroom was practical and had all that one needed, with hand held shower and rain shower installed. Kitchenette had electric stove , coffee maker, kettle , Fridge and utensils. Again sufficient for a 4 night stay. Any longer an oven or toaster would have been nice to heat up bread. The highlight worth mentioning, as most reviews have , is Massimo who helped us with recommendations, guided us with a local map, booked day tour to Pompeii, our taxi and so much more.. Honestly, for those of us who have been lucky to stay in 5 star hotels will know that you don’t always get this type of discreet professional reliable hospitality that Massimo has shown us. If you don’t mind staying at a guest house which may sound daunting , or that the entrance of the building may be slightly off the side street but having read this review will reassure you that the 24 hours security guards and the gated premises made it feel like a home away from home. Thank you Massimo and team for keeping our room super clean , daily when we really didn’t expect the service. Likewise appreciated the small touches of receiving disposable raincoats in case of heavy rain on our tour.

Camera pulita, comunicazione ottima!

Все в целом хорошо, предварительно пишите перед заселением, с улицы отель найти будет тяжело. Расположение хорошое, номер в целом тоже. Единственный минус, что ночью, не могли попасть в номер, так как администратор после продления забыл нам продлить код доступа к двери на этаже, пришлось будить соседей на этаже (хорошо что был звонок в дверь) в 2 часа ночи, а в 7 утра уже был выезд в другой город. Извинений со стороны отеля даже не было, как и компенсации. Хотя мы могли потерять на билетах около 200 евро и еще спать на улице, если бы не наша настойчивость попасть в номер, где лежали все деньги и документы!

Terrible experience with this hotel. After confirming the booking and arriving are the area the owner disappears for hours, doesn’t answer texts or phone calls and doesn’t leave anybody in the property to check us in we had to plead with locals to help us get the owners phone number. In addition, when we checked us we had to deal with non English speakers (how do you rent properties internationally without being able to communicate?) and also demanded tax payment in cash even though they carried no change so we ended up paying more than needed. Property itself very nice and clean but I recommend to stay away.

Отель вызвал противоречивых чувства)). Положительное: Удобное расположение в центре города, близко к метро и достопримечательностям. Рядом супермаркет.В номере чисто. Что не понравилось: квест с заселением ( в принципе, всё понятно объяснено, какое кнопки, но нужно пройти 3 закрытых дверей). Расположение кондиционера под окном и за шторкой)). Слышимость от соседнего номера, а именно из туалета ( будто бы у тебя в комнате). И главное - ни утром, ни вечером не было горячей воды, только днём. Поехал бы я снова в этот отель, думаю нет

I had a great experience! It's very clean and spacious. The fridge, coffee machine, TV, and large bed were really all I needed for a relaxing stay. The price is quite good for what you get. Napoli Nationale Stazione is just steps away, and there's a supermarket and kiosk close by too. I'm very satisfied, but I was quite cautious when going out after dark. The neighborhood isn't the nicest.

Staying at Domis Vesuvio in Naples was one of the best travel decisions we’ve made. The location, just a short walk from the main bus station, made getting around the city incredibly easy. The property looked exactly like the photos — clean, modern, and extremely comfortable. What truly sets this place apart is the staff, they all helped us fell like we were home. Sara and Ginevra are some of the warmest and most helpful people we’ve ever met while traveling. They were always available, ready to answer any question, and genuinely eager to help with anything we needed. The restaurant downstairs where breakfast is served was another highlight of our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions generous, and the prices very reasonable. The wine they serve is excellent and pairs perfectly with the dishes. The overall value for money far exceeded our expectations. We honestly cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Naples. Next time we visit, we won’t even look for another accommodation — we’ll simply wait until this one is available. Highly, truly recommended.

Excellent hotel. I recommend it. Even before check-in, I was contacted with all the instructions for getting into the room (everything was extremely easy) and all my questions were answered. Finding the hotel was simple; just make sure to read the signs. The room itself was bright, clean, and spacious. It was a comfortable refuge from the heat, with a rather quiet air conditioner. Breakfast wasn't included for me, but snacks, juice, and milk were provided, along with tea and coffee. There was also a fridge, coffee machine, and kettle. The room was cleaned daily. The windows had mosquito nets and roller blinds. Be aware that if your windows face the city, it can be quite noisy. I don't have trouble sleeping, so it didn't bother me. The bathroom also had everything needed: shampoo, soap, towels, and a hairdryer. The water pressure was good, with both a rain shower and a handheld showerhead. There were no water supply issues. There's an elevator in the building! Right across the street is a small grocery store, and there are several others nearby, as well as a few cafes. The location is excellent: - A few minutes' walk to the historic center. - About 15-20 minutes' walk to the train station. - 20 minutes by taxi to the airport. - 30-40 minutes' walk to the promenade. I needed a hotel near the opera. This is located in the Vittorio Emanuel gallery, i.e. five steps from San Carlo. I was all satisfied, it was quiet, clean, comfortable, everything worked well including the air conditioner. The room was nice, sleeped well. The room has a teapot, tea in bags, sugar and a bottle of water in the refrigerator. The kitchen is in the room for the shape, although there is gas, but only two cups with dishes, three forks, a coffee spoon and a dining knife. My room windows went out into the inner courtyard, not as in the photo, not in the gallery. But I don't have a principle. How to find: From the far sea side of the square at the Municipio Metro turn left to the street, then to the intersection with Santa Bridge and right at once. On the opposite side there will be a long entrance to the Vittorio Emanuel gallery. The first wooden door on the right is the entrance to the hotel rooms, they are on the third floor with an elevator. But you need to pick up the keys in another hotel first. To do this, at the interior of its inner courtyard on the right will be the entrance N83 behind the iron grid, it is closer to the opposite end. It is on the photo. The grid is written code, further on the 4th floor on the 24-hour resepshen. Breakfast is there, I didn't take them.
