"The location of this hotel is very good, several small buildings have a sense of design, especially surrounded by a large wilderness, surrounded by mountains on one side, facing glaciers and valleys in the distance.
There is no elevator, the highest should be two floors. It is very close to Hofen (Hepburn), and seafood can be eaten in the town."
"This is the best hotel in the whole Iceland trip. Reception is super friendly and helpful. All corners are new and clean. Restaurant provides nice food at reasonable price. Free hot tub and sauna facing the glacier. I am just unlucky that the weather was so bad that I cannot really enjoy the view. Breakfast is a must add item as it is so worthwhile. It’s a perfect location if you visit the glacier tour or visit Jökulsárlón."
"This hotel is the best I have ever stayed in! The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were very luxurious and comfortable with all the facilities. The quality of the dining was extremely high and every dish was amazing. The massage service at the spa made me completely relax. The hotel is in a great location with a magnificent view. The whole stay was unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel and it is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travel. I will definitely stay again!"

"Very appreciated for the host’s understanding that we can’t arrive to the hotel on the booking date, due to the road closed for the heavy snow. Through the phone call one of the male reception asked where we were and the told us not to move any more just stay in the safe place. And trip.com services help us to communicate with them and we got the full refund days later. Really thankful for all the kindness for the hotels."
"This hotel is located in Hornafieze, the surrounding environment is very quiet, really suitable for travelers who want to enjoy nature. The hotel is located in the south of Iceland, with magnificent mountain views and buried glaciers nearby, making people feel the vastness of nature. Moreover, the hotel is not far from several famous tourist attractions, such as the glacier lake and buried waterfall, and you can easily arrange your trip.
In terms of overall feeling, Old Cottages gives people a warm and comfortable feeling. The room design is unique and full of traditional Icelandic style, which makes people feel a kind of return to the real charm. Whether it is an interior decoration, it is a natural environment outside, it makes people feel relaxed. Living in the city, you can really enjoy a pleasant and unforgettable holiday, definitely worth a try!"
"The reason why I gave it three stars is because the room price of more than 3,000 yuan per night has only one layer of curtains that cannot be sealed. The glacier view room including an extra bed costs more than 4,000 yuan. The toilet is so small that you have to touch the wall when you turn around. Although the hotel looks very modern, But it's not worth the price. The details are worse than other similar hotels in Iceland. If the price is less than 2,000, it is appropriate. After all, it is better than the Vogel Country Inn in Iceland. Must-pass geographical location close to major highways deserves attention."
"The location of the hotel was good. The facilities are very good, but I don't know why the gym is designed to be together with the spa and the glass in the middle is transparent, so I always feel that I am being watched when I soak in the spa. Dinner and breakfast were fine, except for the price lol."
"Our favorite hotel during our entire Iceland trip! Giant bay windows in the rooms with picturesque views, furnishings were very clean and aesthetic, bathroom was comfortable with all essential amenities. It’s also a 3-min walk to Pakkhus which was one of the best restaurants ever"
"The bacon for breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the farm mutton covered with mashed potatoes was good. Ice cream can be tried, and the front desk lady we met was very Nice. It is about half an hour's drive from Ice Lake, but there is no gas station on the road to Ice Lake. It is necessary to fill the gas station in the opposite direction and then come to stay. It saves time.
We saw the aurora here, the front desk lady said, you are very lucky, but we can see 🥹 basically every week here.
Personally feel that this kind of farm accommodation is really cost-effective in Iceland, eat well and charge relatively low. We stayed in a double breakfast twin bed of about 900."

GGuest UserNice big room, beds are very good, pillow ok (soft). Shower etc. also clean and do not smell of sulfur. Good and very extensive breakfast. Restaurant is good and has tasty meals for a reasonable price. Service and staff friendly and helpful. Location is remote. Supermarket is far away.
Diamond beach Is relatively close (30 minutes).
