Hualien Hostels

The Hualien Station branch of Kindness Hotel offers excellent value for money. The room rate is incredibly inclusive; not only does it cover breakfast, but also afternoon tea and a late-night snack, so you practically don't have to worry about food from check-in until evening. The hotel also provides free ice cream, washing machines, and dryers, along with laundry detergent, which is super convenient for travelers needing to wash clothes. The location is also great, very close to Hualien Station—just about a seven or eight-minute walk. This makes it really easy for catching trains or planning your Hualien itinerary. Even though it's a 3-star hotel, the actual experience exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was also more varied than I anticipated. Overall, the stay felt thoughtful in terms of service and practical in terms of facilities. It's truly ideal for travelers looking for convenience and great value.

My first impression was how incredibly warm and attentive the service was. Every question I had was met with a satisfactory answer, and they even proactively helped me with directions for dining out and cycling routes around the island. Since we had two bikes, the staff thoughtfully asked if we needed to switch to a larger, more suitable room. Their service attitude truly deserves high praise. The room was also perfect, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. This was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my 11-day island-wide trip in Taiwan.

Right opposite Hualien Station, this is an incredibly convenient location! It’s perfect whether you’re traveling solo or with a few friends. The prices are reasonable, the facilities are complete, and a simple breakfast is even included. The common area is spacious, making it very convenient for a group of friends to chat and eat together in the lounge. We even met the owner when we were checking out, and they were so nice, even helping us take a group photo. I'm really grateful for the owner's dedication over so many years. With tourism in Hualien declining recently, it's truly commendable that they've managed to persevere and continue providing such a great place for travelers to rest. Thank you so much! 🙏

This hostel is conveniently located right across from Hualien train station and the transfer station. The breakfast is incredibly generous with new dishes every day, and the entire space is very clean. Having a self-service washing machine is also a big plus. There's a 7-Eleven right next door, and you're greeted with beautiful views of layered mountains as soon as you step outside.

The main reason for wanting to experience a ”capsule” hotel was to check it out. My elementary school kids loved it, running around in the bunk beds. The single beds were actually quite large and very new. The room was well-planned and detailed; each room had its own charging port, a small light, a cabinet, and even toiletries! The shared bathroom was very clean. The kitchen was accessible on the first floor, so we went to Qixingtan to buy fish to fry at night – it was fantastic! If you arrive at the hotel early, you can ride bicycles and walk to the beach, where there's a heated swimming pool! In the morning, we played cards in the common area on the first floor while listening to music. 👍

This hotel is incredibly close to Hualien Train Station, just about a ten-minute walk. On the night I checked in, they kindly and proactively upgraded my room for free. The room itself was very clean, and the solid walls provided excellent soundproofing. Plus, the hotel partners with the Turumo Whale Watching tour, offering convenient pick-up and drop-off services. There's also a gym and a restaurant, and the snack bar on the first floor offers 24/7 service and snacks. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

Stayed two days in a quad room. This was my third stay. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. If there's no parking available, they'll even move their company car and let you park. It's across the street from 7-Eleven, and there's also a TP-Link nearby. Zhongmei Street has many delicious restaurants, so it's quite convenient. If I had to find a negative, it would be: The rooftop pool is quite small. Even with four people in it, it's usually full. It's too hot during the day and only open until around 9 PM. The breakfast on the first floor has a good selection of special dishes, but for some reason the air conditioning isn't cooling enough, so the food is a bit warm. Overall, it's quite good.

My stay here has been a very good experience!!!! The rooms are very inviting and clean. The staff here is amazing and very helpful. The environment is clean. I think staying here was ideal and I hope to stay again upon my return to Hualian. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This hostel is absolutely fantastic! It's about a five to six-minute walk from Hualien Station. The beds and towels are very clean, and the bathroom is spacious with a large mirror. You can even enjoy a view of the mountain city from the room. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, and they offer free bicycle rentals. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

A nice boutique hotel -- locations not bad with a mall across the street, and Family Mart + 7-11 at the other side of the junction. Gentle reminder to bring own bath towels as these are not provided by the hotel. View from the room is not too bad :)
