Shangri-La Hostels

I had a bunk in the dorm. The mattress was really comfortable, and had a heating pad. The girls who shared the room were friendly and considerate, which was a bonus. The host was helpful with booking transportation, and had a wechat social group for the visitors. Laundry is available. I would definitely recommend for anyone open to the hostel experience.

The hostel is nice, especially the lobby and rest area, the owner is a nice guy, can help you if you need something. However I had some problems with the bathroom, only with help of another guest I could enjoy hot water, water itself didn’t go down so after shower there was a layer of water on the bathroom floor for hours. Besides that everything is ok!

It was the end of May when the rainy season was just starting. When I walked for two days and arrived at Tina's G.H., I was surprised by the neat atmosphere, and the five-person room I was assigned to was like any other hotel. Spending a night looking out the window at snow mountains!

The hostel is really good value and located not far from the square that has lots of locals dancing every evening. It’s quiet and if you like hiking, there’s a trail up the mountains just beside the entrance. The living room is very cozy and the boss and staff are very sociable, kind and has lots of good recommendations. There’s a homey atmosphere where you can hang out with the other guests and watch movies on a big projector. There’s also a traditional fireplace that is always burning when it’s the cold season (though can be smoky). But I loved hanging out there. There’s also outdoor seating areas to chill out. Laundry washing is available and cheap. The bed is nice and comfy and I’ve slept well there. Bathroom is clean. There’s also a western style toilet outside in the common area. Overall I highly recommend this place and would definitely be staying here again if I come back!

Because of the closed maintenance of the Zhonghutiao Scenic Area, we temporarily decided to walk down the Tiger Leap the night before, go to the empty joy observation deck to take a look, and then take the bus back to Lijiang in the afternoon. I didn't expect us to accidentally beat Jack, Uncle Jack is simple, kind and enthusiastic. Because of the shortage of staff, Jack made us a simple bowl of noodles. In conversation with Uncle Jack, he learned that he had been maintaining the Tea Horse Road and built several bridges at his own expense until the last one was destroyed by mudslides. The road can be reached from Nassi to Haba Village, and we decided to stay one more night out of the real, quiet and strong atmosphere of life here. Now it seems that this is one of the most correct decisions I have made in my life. I explored this ancient tea-horse road that has existed for thousands of years. The scenery thinks it is the most high road. In addition, while watching the sunset on the snow-capped mountains at night, I enjoy the authentic yak beef hot pot made by my son. And freshly picked organic vegetables, drinking jack-brewed artemisinin, a perfect comma for the beauty outside the plan! Facilities: I live in a quadruple room, the bed is very comfortable to sleep, the accommodation conditions of the Luke family are relatively simple, there are no slippers. But wifi and hot water are all basics. Hygienic: It may be that during this time, Yuke is renovating the inn, and the staff is insufficient, so the room is not cleaned much. Environment: The vegetable garden and flowers planted by Yuke himself, plus the original ecology and exclusive beauty here, deserve five stars Service: Uncle Yuke is warm and hospitable, eating and staying in the inn of Tiger Leaping Gorge is the king of cost-effectiveness!
