The service at the front desk is very good, the lady is pretty, the guy is handsome, there are coffee, drinks, and a rest area. There are not many. I stay in this hotel every time and need to book a room in advance, which is difficult to afford on weekends.

Aloft in Tainan, Taiwan, has exceeded my expectations with its welcoming ambiance, excellent vibes, and standout service. The hotel's proficient English-speaking and super-friendly staff, especially Dudu at the reception and Paul at the bar, adds to the seamless and enjoyable stay. Their exceptional service truly sets the tone for a remarkable experience. I must also mention the impeccable clean rooms and excellent amenities that further enhance the overall stay. Special appreciation goes to the Duty Manager, Sue Su, whose friendly and helpful nature has been a standout feature, enhancing the overall warmth and hospitality of Aloft. Kudos to Sue Su for turning my stay into a delightful experience filled with smiles and positive vibes!

Good location, friendly staff, many eateries nearby and good prices, not far from train station. Will come back.

It was good in general. Staff are kind and helpful. Love the welcome cookies and candies ~ the room looks like the photos on the website. The room is a bit dusty and the bathroom is a bit not maintaining very well. Location was good, not far away from the Main Street.

Overall not bad! The price of booking on trip is more affordable than booking at a hotel. The service attitude is very good and the environment is very hygienic. However, it is difficult to find parking spaces nearby. This is a fly in the ointment! Although the hotel has parking spaces, there are too few, and the corresponding parking lot is only a 5-minute walk away. Except for the parking problem, everything else is not bad ~ Although there are not many choices for breakfast, it can be seen that it is very clean and hygienic! The sauces all have expiration dates marked on them, and the plates are put away quickly.

The room was nice, clean without having crazy cold AC like many places I stayed in before. What I feel could be better is the refilling of Kleenex considering my perpetual allergies mean I use them up pretty quickly. The other would be having one button to turn off all the lights for sleeping. Other than that I was quite pleased with it.

We stayed two nights in Roots Inn Tainan, I think it’s highly recommendable. The rooms are simple, but clean. It’s got a mini fridge for you to store all the delicious goodies that you may buy in Tainan. No bottled water nor coffee/ tea in the room, but all is provided in the 6/F communal living room. It’s a nice setting to enjoy after a long day out, we bought some snacks from the food stalls near by back to the living room because of heavy rain outside. The living room has all the dining ware that you’ll need, and a nice big dining table to spread your feast out. Location is very convenient as the alleys nearby are filled with food stalls at night. Service is excellent, we asked for extra hand towels and hand soap, they provided that to our room while we went out. The receptionist mentioned to us that even after check out, we are welcome to rest in the 6/F living room before we had to leave, which is very nice. On a side note: BMS cafe nearby is excellent for western breakfast and coffee, we went there for both mornings during our stay.

The location from the attractions are quite accessible by walk except that the flower night market is away from the hotel. But by taxi it takes about 10 mins and also to the Tainan station. The staffs are very kind and the hotel is old but still the rooms were quite well maintained. The breakfast is okay but recommend to go down early otherwise there are not alot of food left. Overall, it was satisfying!

Great little hotel slightly out of the center, but very convenient if riding or driving. Rooms very comfortable, but vary in style, view and facilities - some appear to have been renovated and some not. Front desk staff very helpful. Tasty breakfast sets served at-seat in the beautiful and roomy lobby (with live music on weekends) as well as other nice touches set this hotel apart. Overall a refreshing experience compared to typical ********* hotels!

Come to Tainan with my parents, walk from Tainan Railway Station, it is not very far, but with luggage, at the train station to go up and down a big road, if you want to be comfortable, you can also consider taking a taxi. The first feeling at the entrance of the hotel is that the heavy door is deeply locked, unlike other hotels. Find the door button on the right, press it down, and the door will open. The counter staff were very careful to serve us ice tea, and took us to the room to introduce us. Thank you for your care. But in fact, I think the introduction of the room can be brief, because it is already very tired, I hope to rest immediately when I go to the room. The corridor of the hotel is very dark, you really have to be careful when you look at the road! If you can improve it, it will be dangerous because the elderly can't see clearly when they walk! Light is also better for security! The air conditioning in the room is not enough during the day, but the hotel has a fan in the room to help. Air conditioning is enough at night. The bathroom is spacious, the toilet is high, and the shower is very watery. The bed is moderately hard and soft. Especially like the room is useless, so it feels cleaner. The room has coffee but no tea bags. We went to the counter to ask, thank you for the counter staff also gave us, but it is better to provide it in the room. When we went out, thank you counter staff for calling us a taxi, the car arrived soon!
