Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved.
There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl.
Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

CcompanionThe hotel offered a very comfortable and spacious room. The hotel very well designed and have a cool feel. The third floor common area which shared with the hostel offer a great free coffee and tea. The space is very comfortable and relax. There's a lot eatery around and a famous crepe which sell in the evening from 6 pm to 11 pm

GGuest UserI had an absolutely delightful experience during my stay at Crowne Plaza Tainan! From the moment I stepped in, everything – from the front desk reception and impeccable room cleanliness to the overall service quality – truly exuded a five-star standard.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent natural light. The soft, comfortable bed ensured a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom featured a convenient wet and dry separation, was fully stocked with amenities, and even thoughtfully included aromatic bath products. Every small detail truly reflected the hotel's dedication and care.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of high-quality dishes. Both the Chinese congee and the Western-style made-to-order egg dishes were exceptionally delicious. I particularly recommend waking up early to fully enjoy it!
My favorite aspect was the hotel's location. It's peaceful and away from the city's hustle, yet still conveniently close to Anping Fort and the riverside scenic area – perfect for travelers who enjoy a more relaxed pace.
Overall, this is a highly recommended hotel for both business and leisure travelers. I would absolutely love to return! Many thanks to Crowne Plaza Tainan for such a wonderful trip.

The location couldn’t be better—right across from Tainan Park, it’s peaceful yet still within walking distance to the train station and local eateries. The atmosphere of the inn feels both cozy and refreshing, surrounded by greenery that makes you forget you’re in the middle of the city.
The room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with natural light, soft bedding, and just the right touch of simplicity. Every detail showed the owner’s care—from the locally roasted coffee in the common area to the warm welcome when I arrived. I especially loved the small garden space where you can relax with a cup of tea in the afternoon.
What stood out most was the hospitality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready with local travel tips and food recommendations. Their genuine kindness made me feel like I was visiting an old friend rather than staying at a hotel.
I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tainan. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates comfort, warmth, and a touch of nature in the heart of the city.

PpuuristeMy first impression was that it was ”old school”, with a traditional sense of luxury that comes from an overwhelming Lobby & Reception, large comfortable Elevator lobbies etc. I also appreciate the great service from the staff who brought us extra coffee creamer, to housekeeping who straightened up my mess. Concierge was very attentive, she checked our taxi after we've alighted, to ensure that nothing was left behind. Its this attention to detail that I find rare these days, and therefore its left a deep impression on me. If I were to point out any shortcoming, it would be that the lighting design of the hotel needs a refresh. Some newer lights, aroma/scented corridors, and background music would help. (oops.. occupational hazard...).

But the toilet sewage had some problems and they had no one to fix over the weekend, had to wait for weekdays.
We eventually checked out before they could fix the toilet sewage system.

YYueh MeiThe breakfast selection was extensive and constantly replenished, allowing us to enjoy hot food. A pleasant surprise was the organic brown rice milk, which was rich, fragrant, and served at the perfect temperature. It was even more delicious with cereals and oats! GGuest UserI chose to stay at the Sun Moon Inn as it was convenient for my visit to the Chimei Museum the following day. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious and hygienic. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful residential area, which was very pleasant. However, there were some minor imperfections: the carpet in the room had stains, and the top of the TV was covered in dust. These small details were a bit of a letdown. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

AAnonymous UserFantastic hotel in a very strategic location. Easy access to Tainan's main attractions. Comfy beds and good air con. Overall outstanding value so I stayed here twice. Amazing views especially at night time from the upper floors. Sadly a pretty average brekky spread with cheap ingredients. Keeping the hot food hot would be a great start before they work on improving the dishes.

千千里之行始於足下The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the coach station. There's a large public hot spring bath, and the breakfast is decent enough to fill you up. The room itself is spacious, but toiletries are scarce; only plastic slippers are provided. Luckily, I brought my own slippers and bathing essentials. The biggest flaw, however, is a step at the entrance to the bathroom, which I accidentally tripped over when entering, causing my toe to become red and painfully swollen. It's a really poor design choice.
