I stay in Hampton Inns because of their consistency - I know what to expect when staying at them and they have a great product that usually doesn't disappoint. This place seemed to be among the older Hampton Inns and in need of a facelift. Some of the furniture and walls in both the rooms and common areas showed some serious wear and tear and in need of replacement. The pool, while mostly nice, had a large heavy chip in the bottom and elsewhere. That said, the room and common areas, llike any other Hampton, were kept super clean and had a strong and dedicated staff. Room was super quiet at night, I did not hear a thing from the neighboring rooms, hallway or outside - a big plus considering the noise at the previous hotel we stayed. Plenty of places to plug in and recharge phones and laptops and a television with more channels than you'll have time to watch. Breakfast was very good with tasty food and looked over by a sweet and wonderful woman named Albertha (hope I have the spelling right) that they are very lucky to have. On top of that, Kamari (spelling?) at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly, and knew the area very well. This hotel is lucky to have them both. There are a number of great restaurants in the area and they keep the list up to date (they hand it out at the front desk, which is actually a good idea because the lists of restaurants kept in rooms aren't always accurate and difficult to keep up to date). This place is convenient to the highway and not that far from either Baltimore or Washington, DC. We loved going in the pool after long hot days of sightseeing. As long as the worn-out furniture and other physical defects doesn't bother you, this place works just great. But I have to think they will really need to move on fixing this place up better real soon or they may not fare so well in the next inspection by the franchisor.

After reading all of the reviews, in particular the more recent reviews, I was concerned about our stay before we even got there. We knew it wasn’t going to be the Ritz and we were ok with that. What was important to us included a larger than average hotel room, cleanliness, and location. Maybe it was luck but our experience gave us all three of those things and more (like a free breakfast each day). The reviews that discuss an absent front desk employee were not wrong. At one point there were easily 11 of us in the lobby waiting for someone at the front desk so that we could either ask a question or make a purchase from the very small convenient store selection. This was around 9pm and we waited for 20 minutes. I gave up at that point. That was my only negative experience. The room was truly the perfect size with a futon for a couch from West Elm. The shower was separate from the toilet area which was also a nice touch. Our room did not have a bathtub (not an issue for me but I guess if we had small children it might have been). I will say there was a strong smell of ********* in the halls every time we left our room but that doesn’t really bother me - I do recall reading that in other reviews. Considering I had such low expectations going in I really can’t complain. Our room was clean, the staff were friendly when they were available. The only real inconvenience was the fact that they did not have enough luggage racks and even after waiting 25 minutes for one to be returned we just decided to take multiple trips out to the car. Don’t let the reviews scare you. Management understood the assignment and made improvements.

Service attitude is acceptable, the room is not very big, there is a bed less than 1.8m, the sheets are too thin. Located in the golf course, the view is good.

I stayed here 1 night and was overall very happy with my stay. I felt like I was at a ”real” hotel, not the shabby, overused Hampton Inns I had been staying at on my drives from NYC to Florida and back. The staff was welcoming and professional and my room was a delight--clean, lovely towels, dual lighting for the beds (dim & regular), hot water than was hot immediately, and a very comfortable king bed. The TV had really good channels, including some premium ones. The waitress in the restaurant served me a late dinner graciously. The buffet breakfast is overpriced, but you get more for that price than you do at Hilton Garden Inns and the staff did a very good job of refilling the serving pans as they were emptied by the kids. I did had some issues, thus the 4 stars. Most of the people staying at the hotel appeared to be families traveling with children going to sports meets. There should be some way of keeping a part of the hotel for adults only, so you don't hear girls screaming down the corridor at 12:30am (and yes, they did wake me up). One elevator was broken, incurring long waits, and I see from other reviews that this is a continuing problem. Also, the toilet paper needs to be upgraded!

Great, super clean rooms. Located conveniently in a walking distance to a number of restaurants, shops and Toby's Dinner Theatre (2 miles down the road) where we saw a beautiful performance . Lovely, courteous staff at the front desk and at the breakfast. Hot breakfast in the morning. Sadly, guests are leaving trash in front of the hotel on a bench without cleaning after themselves. I had a very nice staycation during my home renovations. The hotel is close to restaurants and shopping centers. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
