I stayed here for a few days and can only recommend it! The train and bus stations are just a few steps away, and the city center is within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches such as free coffee, snacks, and even ice cream!

This hotel offers great value for money. It's very close to the train station, and there are many car rental shops right outside, which is super convenient. The room was spacious and clean, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs. Highly recommended!

This hostel is absolutely fantastic! It's about a five to six-minute walk from Hualien Station. The beds and towels are very clean, and the bathroom is spacious with a large mirror. You can even enjoy a view of the mountain city from the room. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, and they offer free bicycle rentals. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

Good deal and good location! The staff was very friendly and helpful when we wanted to rent a car. Would recommend if you need 1-2 nights in Hualien.

Close to the station and clean, so no real complaints. If I had to pick one thing, it would be great if the toilet paper was flushable. Nowadays, even public restrooms at major stations allow you to flush the paper. First-time visitors to Taiwan might be a bit surprised by this.

The room rates are very affordable, and the lobby is elegantly and romantically decorated. They offer complimentary coffee, popsicles (not too sweet, with bits of fruit, very delicious!), and snacks – you can eat as much as you like. This was my first time experiencing such hospitality, and I highly recommend this excellent hotel. It's fantastic! (Stayed from 2026/01/04 to 2026/01/05 - Room 610)

Hotel staff: half of them were quite friendly, the other half was either not that friendly or not very experienced. I had an issue with the room with loud ac noise and they finally helped me to switch rooms after complaining about it. The room itself is quite small, but the lobby is very nice and has free food and feels relaxing and modern. The location is not bad, surrounded with plenty of food and walkable to train station.

Very close to the station and also close to a lot of scooter rentals. Nice vibe and cozy room. We came in late and left and just wanted an affordable night stay spot and Meci was the best spot for that!

The room I was in was carpeted and felt musty. Also I asked for an extra pillow and was told there was a charge. Otherwise the room felt clean.

This place is run down, dirty looking. I paid for 2 nights but I can’t bring myself to stay there for a second so I booked a real hotel nearby for the second night.

Very positive experience. Place is quite nice if you look for a decent Hostel in Hualien (even though it might look a little bit run down from the outside). Nice roof top terrace for a night cup and 24h free flow coffee/tea is a plus. Communication with the front desk staff varies a lot, depending on the individual English language skills of the staff on duty, but has never been a real issue. Moreover, we‘ve been quite surprised having a German speaking guy there the day we‘ve checked in.

Friendly staff. No complaints at all. They are also nice to street cats.

Nice hotel. Close to main station. Big room. Good price. I found it inconvenient to sign a document that I don't need daily cleaning services and then the cleaning lady still ringed my bell to ask. In the future, maybe just ask at check in whether the guest wants daily cleaning or not. Or just only clean when guest changes, like other hotels too
